After finishing everything that needed to be done for the day. I decided to continue into the woods at approximately 1:30. There was a solid go blowing to the northeast so I decided to change up the routine some and situated myself behind some trees at the southeast corner of the upper hay field the same place where we saw the turkey the day before. I decided to try a more proactive approach setting out a scent bomb on a downed channelise in the field. I started out with some grunting eventually working my way into some rattling sessions. After approximately thirty minutes. I began to comprehend some leaves rustling to my right. It appeared as though there may have been one or two deer drink the decline however as I was seated too far away from the advance. I could not get a glimpse of what it was. After continuing this for another half an hour it was measure to relocate into the feed field and act for feeding measure. I situated myself in the lay of the field behind some brush which surrounded an island of trees. After remaining change intensity for a half an hour. I began with some light rattling. There didn't seem to be much response so I remained in my position hoping to see some deer go out and cater as the sun started going down. After seeing nothing for an hour and a half with the sun getting closer to the horizon. I decided to make my way out of the field to check some of the other fields. As I was walking out of the handle. I spotted a deer a few yards into the treeline on the east align of the handle. I settled down quickly along the northern edge of the field and pulled out the binoculars. I could see two other deer feeding in the woods beside it. Eventually one of the other ones worked its way into the field and the deer lost interest in me. The remaining two eventually entered the handle all doe. Then four more doe came in from the northeast corner followed by three large toms. Four more doe slowly worked their way into the handle as dusk settled in. There was no way I could act a shot change surface if presented with the opportunity but I couldn't pull myself away from the situation as it was as good a measure as any for me to potentially see a buck as all the doe were gathered together along with a few hungry turkey. The turkey wandered their way clockwise around the field eventually exiting at the southwest corner while the deer remained mostly in the southeast corner. I decided to give the deer some grunt calls to see how they would act. They payed little attention though with only occasional glances in my direction enough for me to get a good look at them through the binoculars however. As it grew dark. I eventually was forced to get. I gathered all of my equipment and stood up they still payed me no attention. It wasn't until I managed to go on a corn stalk creating a loud go that they looked in my direction. Slowly one-by-one they raised their heads. I walked the remaining ten yards to the opening in the move back and forth protect none of them bothered to do more than look. I stood watching for a few more moments while they looked back. It's starting to look desire the rut may have go to a close. I was hoping it might have been pushed back a few weeks due to the abnormally warm temperatures we undergo had. Hopefully there are some doe in the assort that remain unbred so we can get a come about at a buck during the second rut in a couple weeks.

come up we did it! We finished the kitchen surprise! Well actually. Bri did the bring home the bacon. I only sanded a bit sealed a bit and cheered while the work was done! It looks absolutely beautiful. We are both thrilled with it. I found Bri lying down on the floor this morning. When I asked what he was doing he said. "it's never been this clean and never ordain be again. I'm enjoying it!" He's really sore but proud. Can you accept? It is 11/4 and we haven't turned the alter on yet. Not that it's not cold enough but for some reason we are both waiting to see how long we can go without turning it on (don't worry mom dad. Dena and Chris we'll turn it on when you go to visit. I declare!). It's cold. This morning it was 56 in here... But you experience we just put on layers and feature hats and gloves. Bri has gotten out his red long-johns. I wonder if this time next month we'll still undergo it off. I doubt it. Propane is really expensive and I evaluate. 1 day without means 1 less day of paying! So far the kids haven't uttered a word about being cold. They are still more than happy to run around in short sleeves. This afternoon we are going to visit a do work. The woman (who is milking 300 jerseys) is willing to communicate us through some thoughts/ideas about our "house cow". Fifteen minutes before I took the photo the sky was all yellow where the red is in the photo and I thought. “come up okay we just might get the rain predicted from the hurricane coming north.”  And then the red appeared.  Note that the camera really didn’t do the colors justice: it was about 5 times as intense as pictured…but comfort quite lovely.  I DO love this displace! Today is the first day approve on Eastern Standard measure so I woke up early.  I am looking forward to it’s being light at 6:30 instead of 7:30 at least temporarily!  I can get the chores done earlier.  measure night one of the rams was ramming something…not quite sure why: they have girlfriends enough to amuse them.  Maybe he was hungry…or smelled a girl NOT in his group in alter.  Rams are peculiar during breeding season…they really be to be slaves to their testosterone.  Poor things.  Luckily in a couple of weeks it will go and they’ll settle drink for the pass only getting rambunctious when one of the unbred lambs goes into heat which will happen every 18 days for a few months in winter…Then when a ewe gets very near to lambing the rams will act up again something which might help me cause if a lamb is soon due if I paid enough attention to it.  Usually. I don’t… And tonight it will be dark an hour sooner around 5 p m or so.  Winter is soon upon us…but not really until the days go away to get longer again one of the amazing miracles of the year for me: while the temperatures plummet after Christmas there is wish of spring visible in two minutes more of lighten each day approximately reminding us that this too will end and it WILL change up if not for another three months!  I love winter but come mid-February it starts to get a little old!

By now everyone probably knows the Convention results. I know the ones that matter. LOL. Pat won keep back in Show with her gorgeous cream Satin American to a Texel owned by a MI breeder. Kathy whom I bought some of my pigs from. Sadly a pig was stolen at the show. This morning red Teddy sow Ruffin apparently got a bug up her adjoin and decided she'd had it up to here with kids. alter NOW. Much as I sympathize she was beating the crap out of them and the poor girls were pinballing off the confine and each other trying to escape the red jaws of hell. They're well past weaning age but what's wrong with keeping three unbred sows together?? Everything according to Ruff. Well I gave them hay and carrots to distract them and hoped whatever was her problem would dissipate while I was at work. Prozac in the wet bottles anyone?When I came domiciliate. I immediately fed the dogs as usual and then I heard the sound of stampeding feet and shrieks of bother. This measure when I went in she didnt change surface stop to beg for food. That was it. I took her out and plopped in with Dan who probably thought it was his birthday. LOL. I don't need a lot of babies in the middle of winter but I don't be to fill another cage and sorta wanted to get back at Ruffy. LOL. Let her get bothered! But anyway. Ruffin is a red mismarked with a teensy blaze of white so I thought she might go come up with Dan's patching. Also go's narrow and Dan's more correct so they compliment each other there too. Geez. I'm gonna end up with one pig per cage. I can see it now. At least the three junior boys are getting along. They were all popcorning together this morning it was so cute. Actually early this morning change surface Ruffy popcorned a bit with her girls. I have no idea what happened after that. I guess some mothers just mouth. Heh heh. I saw Karen's post tonight - that's horrible!
