According to Forward the newspaper that focuses on matters of interest to Jewish readers the Congress that convenes in January -- 32 in the House and 13 in the Senate regardless of whether Al Franken or Norm Coleman wins the still-contested Senate seat in Minnesota.
Forward also notes that beyond attaining record numbers on the Hill in both the legislative and executive branches.
Rep. Henry Waxman a California Democrat just toppled Michigan's John Dingell as chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee one of the most powerful committee positions in the House.
Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia will be the No. 2 Republican leader in the House.
Barack Obama's choice to be White House chief of staff is Rahm Emanuel; Joe Biden's vice presidential chief of staff will be Ron Klain. And Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod will serve as a senior advisor to the president.
The presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church the Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori has fired the latest salvo in the battle with the Fort Worth diocese ordering Bishop Jack Iker to stop functioning as an ordained minister.
That's probably fine with Iker since his Fort Worth diocese voted just last week to have nothing further to do with the Episcopal Church.
Jefferts Schori's order known as an "inhibition," says Iker "abandoned the Communion" of the Episcopal Church.
At Iker's urging the Fort Worth diocese has voted to align itself with a conservative province of the Anglican Communion one based in Argentina.
Iker holds that the Episcopal Church has drifted from the Bible's teachings by allowing women priests and an openly gay bishop.
He has said the Fort Worth diocese will function as before though several congregations are staying with the Episcopal Church.
The Fort Worth diocese is the fourth U. S diocese to break from the Episcopal Church since late last year.
"Hateful statements against what Muslims hold most dear are a gift to (Osama) bin Laden and a slap to mainstream Muslims who fear and reject his methods and therefore should be seen as allies not enemies in the fight against violent extremism."
- Dalia Mogahed senior analyst and executive director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies in an interview with Christianity Today

Iowa -- a Christian school -- is staging "Terror Texts," a play that presents six tales from the Old Testament with themes that most churchgoers would find pretty un-biblical: Tales of cannibalism rape and bear that mauls children for example.
The musical in its second staging at the school features actors in Goth attire (right) a rock band and a mosh pit. .
Jeff Barker the Northwestern College professor who wrote and directs the play said one message of "Terror Texts" is "that life and God himself are mysteries."
The Greenville News in South Carolina has a on Rembert "Buddy" Truluck who was pastor of Baptist churches and later of gay-friendly Metropolitan Community Church churches. He also wrote "Steps to Recovery from Bible Abuse."
Because he's openly gay. Bishop Gene Robinson has been a figure of considerable controversy in the Episcopal Church. He'll be in Dallas tomorrow night to be honored at the Black Tie Dinner a popular annual fundraiser for groups supportive of the LGBT community. And tomorrow afternoon he'll meet with a local transgender advocacy group. Details below
Buckner International - the Dallas-based charity formerly known as Buckner Baptists Benevolences - is affiliating with Dillon International of Tulsa. OK. for international adoption work. Here's a press release with details:
National Catholic Reporter a generally left-leaning journal says the Vatican's the Rev. Roy Bourgeois for taking part in an "ordination" ceremony for a woman has " and reaction from various Catholic interest groups and around the blogosphere."
There isn't much doubt about what the Holy See wil do. There ain't no female priests in the Catholic Church period and if you think otherwise and you wear the pope's collar he's probably gonna ask for it back.
Still. NCR says. "If the issue is settled for Rome it is still wide open in some Catholic circles."
"If you want to believe in magic beings who control your life be my guest just keep your imaginary friends off my civil rights. You have no right to impose your fantasy life on everyone else."
"When I was younger I had a typical anti-gay attitude fueled I'm sure by my [Southern Baptist] upbringing. I mocked gays held them in derision and believed they were 'wicked' and 'sinful.' It wasn't until I actually met some people who were gay made friends with them when I started to think about my own attitudes and judgment."
"Mazel Tov. Mr. President-Elect!" says the headline in Forward the Jewish newspaper. "Now Do We Have Some Advice for You..."
The paper what they would urge Barack Obama to do in office. The answers ranged from put families first to end torture to be bold to be careful. An interesting roundup.
"I assumed that a 146-year relationship was worth at very least a personal conversation."
- The Rev. Julie Pennington-Russell on not hearing personally from the Georgia Baptist Convention that it would no longer accept financial gifts from the First Baptist Church of Decatur. The convention decided that because First Baptist Decatur has a woman pastor - Ms. Pennington-Russell - monies from that church would not be accepted.
Episcopal News Service has done a on Parker County Episcopalians who are sticking with the Episcopal Church and begun to meet in rather improvised circumstances. The Fort Worth Diocese which encompasses Parker County voted Saturday to split with the Episcopal Church.
"I don't see any evidence especially in his self-serving attempt to excuse his sin that he has either repented or gained any real insight into his thought processes and behavior."
-- "Peter S. Chamberlain," on claims by disgraced evangelical leader Ted Haggard that he hung out with a gay prostitute because he was sexually abused as a child
"If God does not like the way I am living my life he can come and tell me himself. ... I will never claim to better than anyone and everyone should do the same."
"Why does the celebration and joyful expression of Christian beliefs bother the non-believer so much? No one is forcing them to participate if they don't believe. They strike me as a joyless lot who want to diminish the joy and happiness of others. I find non-believers to be a rather poor advertisement for secularism. Why would I want to be like them?"
Recall that the genesis of Prop.8 was a that said gays had the same right to marry as heterosexual couples. That 4-3 decision was strongly opposed by a majority of Californians according to polls and efforts to put the matter before voters began almost immediately.
Now it looks like the court will have the next -- if surely not the last -- word.
The Rev. Jim Pledger of the First United Methodist Church of Sherman argues in a United Methodist Reporter that a focus on Sunday School can help struggling denominations - including the UMC - begin to grow again.
A settlement Wednesday between eHarmony Inc and the New Jersey attorney general requires the online heterosexual dating service to also cater to homosexuals raising questions about whether other services that target a niche clientele could be forced to expand their business models.
The settlement stemmed from a complaint filed with the New Jersey attorney general's office by a gay match seeker in 2005 that eHarmony had violated his rights under the state's discrimination law by not offering a same-sex dating service. In 2007 the attorney general found probable cause that eHarmony had violated the state's Law Against Discrimination.
Hm. Its not as if eHarmony had a monopoly on online dating services. Or that there aren't myriad gay-specific dating services on the Internets. Should
be forced to handle heteros? Should McDonald's be forced to serve soyburgers to vegetarians? Should my favorite country radio station be forced to play Puccini?
OTOH. I do understand that similar arguments were raised back in the days when lunch counters were being integrated. Separate but equal isn't.
Getting Paid to Travel: Interview with Scott McNeely

 <modified>2008-10-05T02:25+00:00

Scott McNeely has written and edited guidebooks for Lonely Planet and Fodor’s and now works for Viator. In short he has done the “paid to travel” thing.
TravelBlogs caught up with him to communicate about how he made it as a travel writer. And for those of you who dream of one day being a writer yourself. Scott shares what it’s desire to be a travel writer.
I lived in Istanbul on-and-off for over a year and I fell in like with the place the people the food. It’s one of the world’s truly great cities. populate have a negative attitude about “the lay East” and “Muslim countries” but Turkey shatters all those misconceptions. It’s a great country for first-time visitors to the Middle East. And if I could hit the books to speak Turkish. I’d be living in Istanbul alter now.
My very first assignment was writing a first-edition travel guide to Romania. It was in 1991 right after the revolution. This was not a good time to write a travel guide about Romania. I nearly starved. I went days without speaking English. I learned how to say “No! I do not like pork liver” in Romanian. It was an amazing undergo but it certainly wasn’t an easy introduction to travel writing.
What came first: your like for travel or your love for writing? Or to put it in another way do you travel to write or do you write to travel?
That’s a tough one. I’ve always loved to travel and to write. I wouldn’t say this to my former guidebook employers but I think it’s best to travel AND to write but not mix them up. I experience a lot of jaded travel writers who are sick to death of both travel and writing. So I try to travel to travel and write to write if that makes sense.
Writing for publications like Lonely Planet or Fodor’s would be a dream job for many travellers. As someone who has “been there done that” is it as great as it seems?
Yes and no. There’s no denying the ‘coolness’ factor of being a travel writer. People get very jealous about that. The idea that you get paid to travel well that’s too much for some people. I also really like the fact that as a travel writer you are forced to pay weeks and weeks in a single destination. It’s a good way to get an in-depth appreciation for a place that most travelers don’t have the time patience and/or money for.
The downsides? Well people forget it is hard work and often very boring. Think about walking into 300 hotels and asking to see a room explaining each time why taking notes etc. Good travel writers are very detailed populate and that means a lot of tracking down facts asking questions and the like. While other people are spending the day on a beach or haning out the travel writer is at the bus displace trying to choose out which buses go where when and for how much.
The people who do come up in the industry tend to have 2 things in common: they become experts in a single area or two and they bring home the bacon across multiple media types (writing photos video blogs etc.). If your idea is to travel the world on a publisher’s dime you’re kidding yourself. But if you want to become an expert in a certain culture language or destination and you’re willing to work in multiple formats then you have a good shot at success.
Let me preface this by saying. I have a 19-month old son. So I make a distinction between places I want to go next (Tunisia. Brazil. Laos are top of the list) and places that I am likely to go next (grandparent’s accommodate the local park the beach). When my son is old enough. I want to take him trekking in Nepal. And I want to show him the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.

Forex Groups - Tips on Trading

A Guide to Better Travel Writing (Part 2): 20 Time-Tested ...

 <modified>2008-07-01T07:21+00:00

In we discussed twenty-three foundational tips and habits of every good travel writer.
Our series continues with a list of writing techniques and exercises to help further contour your writing process and curb writer’s block to keep the words flowing.
Not every bit of brilliant writing you craft needs to create by mental act into a great story or novel. I sometimes write a paragraph or two before realizing that I don’t have enough info to really say what I wanted to say. But if that apprise excerpt is good quality stuff why delete it?
A swipe file is simply a folder real or electronic containing examples of good copy. You might save a collection of killer headlines several examples of powerful openings a funny turn of evince a powerful call to action and so on.
Never delete quality writing - it can always serve as a future springboard when you’re stuck or in a creative rut.
Also called “radiate fiction” such stories are characterized by extremely concise - and sometimes brilliantly witty - prose. Perhaps the best known “work” of six word fiction is from Ernest Hemingway:
Read that again and focus on how much Hemingway was able to say with so few words.
Try radiate fiction if only to learn brevity and best understand how to keep your prose as “tight” as possible.
Very Short Stories: 33 writers. 5 designers. 6-word science fiction.
non-fiction writers as it provides a better understanding of all sides of an argument. You’re much more likely to understand the characters in your novel or the folks you meet on the street if you can comprehend why they evaluate the way they evaluate particularly if their views differ from yours.
check political debates for any party but yours; read religious publications or blogs if you’re an atheist; request literature if you’re a hunter. Really. Anything to step outside the emit chamber.
Cafés and other public settings where people are likely to linger are great for this. sight someone in a public setting and create an entire persona or story around them. Describe their clothing their personality their lifestyle to where they’ve traveled and what they did while there.
It’s desire handing two artists two brushes and one canvas. Try it with two pens (or digital text documents) and a single sheet of paper. Every person writes a sentence and then passes it along.
This exercise of cover scales come up to allow multiple writers in a “sewing circle” to participate. The collaborative effort allows everyone to play off of the unexpected creativity of the others.
Pick one place you’ve visited and write five things you vividly remember about it. Don’t evaluate too much just cerebrate on writing. This jogs your brain’s long call memory and helps create vivid imagery important for recollecting your travel tales.
… or any other creature or inanimate object and create verbally from their/its inform of view.
Professional photographers ordain tell you that the simplest way to mix things up with your photography is to look at your affect from a different or unexpected angle: look up at children; lie on the floor staring eye-to-eye with pets; etc. The same rule applies to writing. If you’re writing a travel narrative step outside the first person and try to imagine what the same experience is like from someone (or some
Oftentimes simply suggesting a feeling thought or emotion is more powerful than explicitly spelling it out for the reader.
Object correlative is a technique whereby the compose merely suggests something about a character by detailing that character’s interaction with mundane objects in the story.
One of the most noted examples of all time is the “bacon fat” scene in Hemingway’s story “Soldier’s Home.”
Harold Krebs a young pass back in Kansas after being wounded in WWI is unable to return to bring home the bacon to his mother’s ideal of “a normal life.” Now he must endure her questioning at the breakfast table:
“I’ve worried about you too much. Harold,” his mother went on. “I know the temptations you must have been exposed to. I know how weak men are. I know what your own dear grandfather my own father told us about the Civil War and I have prayed for you. I commune for you all day long. Harold.”
Krebs looked at the bacon fat hardening on his plate.
Try seeing your story through the eyes of someone who played only a very small move in your experience - a obtain/inn keeper a cab driver or the woman who sat next to you on the sixteen hour bus ride through Australia.
Another great technique from David Miller who :
… the way a main engrave interacts with a minor character can also be utilized like a mirror - reflecting emotions while driving the narrative forward.
Using a minor character as a mirror can be especially useful in travel writing which is so often rich with minor characters—people on the streets fishermen merchants fellow travelers etc.
Try writing your story in reverse. go away with the last event first and create verbally backwards. Sometimes if you know where the story’s going it’s easier to evaluate out how to get there.
Grab one of your favorite travel photos and write drink everything you bequeath about that exact moment. Use the most graphic and vivid dilate you can muster: smells comprehend sounds everything.
#12 - She Wants to Write in Third Person! No. I Don’t!
Writing in first person is only natural. After all we undergo life from (go roll) our own personal inform of view. Try rewriting one of your tales in third person.
Analogies similes and metaphors bring home the bacon so well because they use an idea the reader already understands to back up them comprehend one they don’t.
Great comedians are able to find similar patterns and structure in seemingly unrelated events and life experiences. It works in comedy and just as well in writing.
One way to write is to simply chronicle events. This sometimes constitutes a failure of imagination. The events will work themselves into a story if you evaluate about them enough. It is like holding up a prism to the sun: move it just the right way and a rainbow of light pours through. So a word of advice: a person’s journal is the raw material. A story is made from these events. Use the journal to craft the story. Don’t refer a travel journal. Editors routinely fling articles that begin: “December 5. 2003: ‘The twin prop jet dropped down into a patchwork quilt of farmlands…’”
This is the hallmark of 99% of blogs today and the main reason why most are entirely readable. If you’re interested in creating more than just a journal remember: nobody cares what you did. They only care how well you can tell the story.
My cousin’s a brilliant nurse but in school she had great difficulty isolating key points in her school textbooks and her professors’ lectures. She’d go through highlighters as if she was getting paid to color her textbooks yellow.
Learn to cerebrate only on the critical points in a story or event. clutch a favorite book and create a reverse outline. Summarize each paragraph in a hit declare. Read over the outline you’ve created. Do the ideas seem logical? Does each declare flow come up into the next?
Obviously this won’t work for every event but some stories are exceed told in a humorous light versus a tragic one. And vice versa. If your story simply isn’t working try a different go.
Imagine you just scored a meeting in Hollywood to produce an autobiographical film from your travel memoirs. What’s missing?
Life events are infinitely more complex than we ever understand at first blush. You may know why something happened as it did in your story but your reader won’t know unless you express them.
Have an objective friend comb through your work and ask questions to help you fill in the gaps and pull out the dramatic moments you may be unknowingly overlooking:
Why did he leave you just then? Why did you give up that WOOF work in Australia? If you were broke then how did you catch that flight home?
Seasoned travelers ordain tell you that the journey is always about who they cater and not where they go. Travel and travel
Mastering the art of dialogue in your writing is key. It’s not as easy as it sounds - it takes practice. Bad dialogue can baffle an otherwise great tale.
#19 - go away in the lay / blackball the Back Story
Well-crafted action movies often jump into the middle of the story to instantly draw the viewer in. This follows from our very first inform in : “Pack your travel writing desire you case your luggage: load in everything you think you’ll need then reduce it by half.”
Try “cutting to the follow” - skip the back story in your travel narratives if it’s not germane to the central plot. This forces you to focus only on the juiciest most engaging bits.
Your writing style will evolve from many points - life experiences travels personality traits family and friends daily interactions with people etc. Personally my writing style has a tendency to vary widely with my moods. And as mentioned in people have a tendency to mimic things they’ve read recently or even the style of their favorite authors.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but make a concerted effort to hone your own personal style. Be unique. This is particularly important for writers seeking publication. Be consistent and don’t disappoint your readers. They will expect a general mouth tenor pace and structure in all your writing.
What techniques and exercises undergo helped you hone your craft and change state a better travel writer? Let us know in the comments.

- I did not particularly like travel books - the create has fatal insufficiencies. It usually was Geography and potted History and a kind of lifeless boasting how far the writer had gone and what he ate. -— summon 420 My Secret History by Paul Theroux
A Zinger. I call that a Zinger. Paul Theroux has the way he has the map and he shares the map he knows as opposed to some of us who do not experience. Some populate in life know others are clueless and the majority of populate just go about their day trying to stay out of the way and staying out of trouble.
I have fun life is easy nothing to do but sit around contemplating my next nothing to do and then I move not knowing where I am going or why however positive it is a good idea to move.
I undergo been playing around again I am trying to explain to myself how to Blog. Marc one of the Americans who came here to Volunteer and became a tourist said to me,- Your idea of a Hostel can be your legacy. -
I evaluate this is ok but I am looking the word in the dictionary just to reassure myself it was not an insult… hehehe
- When a man is in doubt about this or that in his writing it ordain often guide him if he asks himself how it will express a hundred years hence.-— Samuel Butler (1835 - 1902)British writer painter and musician.
Marc was not insulting me by saying a Hostel could be legacy; however there is no benefit to getting older. People go away to talk about legacies as a way of saying you are old and I am not 20. I conclude old when my label is associate with the evince legacy.
Paul Theroux explained with his Blog how to be a Famous and Popular Travel Writer. A travel writer needs to do what he says has fatal insufficiencies and 100 percent sure you be to express what you ate to have a successful Travel Blog.
How to communicate? Alternatively how to TRAVEL Blog? I am filing opinions that mirrors Theroux and more or less tells a person how to be a Travel Writer hoping as I do so that I am a horrible jaunt Writer http://www hobotraveler com/helpcenter/category/how-to-blog/

How I Became a Travel Writer

 <modified>2007-11-27T22:39+00:00

About a week ago the web content and marketing manager at Portland. Oregon’s invited me to change state a on the. I was asked to create verbally about my go as a travel journalist — specifically how I’d managed to made it happen.
Before I started writing the affix. I decided to go online for inspiration. I’ve seen countless how-I-did-it essays on freelance writers’ websites in the past and since I wasn’t entirely sure where to start my own story. I figured I’d act a roll from those who’d gone before. As I soon found out however, that’s a
And why’s that? come up … my own how-I-did-it story is rather long. As of this morning. I’m already more than 1,500 words into the affix and I haven’t yet said word one about travel writing. Bad times for me.
At any evaluate here are the first few paragraphs; I’ll post a quick note sometime later this week if the (significantly abridged) Powell’s essay goes online.
I’ve been working as a freelance writer – on and off – for more than a decade now. I’ve been doing it seriously – meaning professionally and full-time – for almost five years. But throughout my entire career as a music journalist during which I was also an occasional lifestyle and features writer. I don’t believe I was ever seriously asked how I’d gotten my job. It would go up occasionally of cover, but only as a way to end the ice during an awkward conversation. I could be do by here but I’m fairly certain I was never approached by a journalism student or a would-be writer who
But about two years ago while I was working as the music editor at a newspaper in Pittsburgh. I decided to take a brush aside occupational detour. I was egest to death of writing record reviews. And change surface though I’d only been on staff for 14 months the experience of spending 40 hours a week in a high-paneled cubicle was draining my soul of nearly all its joy. So I decided I would become a travel writer.
It’s been an interesting couple of years to say the least. Since waving goodbye to my cube. I’ve written a guidebook for Avalon Travel Publishing; I’ve contributed to two Lonely Planet guides; and I’ve had travel articles published everywhere from a magazine in the U. K to the Sunday edition of my own hometown’s daily newspaper. I’ve studied the fashion of do work foreign correspondence with journalists from the Christian Science Monitor. The Economist and the BBC. I’ve travelled to Thailand. Italy. Turkey the Czech Republic and Germany. And believe me when I express you this: I’ve entertained dozens of emails from would-be writers all of them interested in learning how exactly, I managed to secure so many travel writing contracts. At first. I responded wholeheartedly to every measure email, but for the most part I’ve since stopped. I can’t be to defend spending so much measure on a non-income generaing activity. But in the essay that follows. I’ve done my best to inform how it was that my current career came about. gratify be aware though that this is not your add up service-journalism conjoin. It’s actually more of a brief autobiography than a how-to and to a large degree it focuses more on
Thanks for posting this! Good timing as I am starting to be into doing some travel writing myself. I’m not sure I’d be doing the sort of thing you do (travel guides etc.) I’m thinking more of travel essays. I’m an academic with tenure so I’m not looking to make a living at this kind of writing! But I am really enjoying reading travel writing right now and I’d like to try my hand at it….

Despite the image of the happy freelance travel writer jetting around the world and scampering through interesting exotic places the reality is that we spend way too much time typing and gazing into a computer observe. Otherwise we’d never get paid. We may communicate with 50 people a day by e-mail and phone but real face-to-face communication like you have in an office environment is all too uncommon.
So as the editor of Perceptive jaunt. I made it my goal to set up some real live socializing when I came to my old haunt of New York City measure week for a conference. Fortunately I got some help from the generous folks at Hungary Tourism (including Maria pictured here) and Monarchia Winery. I stopped at Monarchia when I was in Hungary recently and got to sit down in their cellar with their award-winning winemaker Pok Tamas. They are one of the few that does a sizable export business so we got them to ameliorate a room full of travel and wine writers on what comes out of that country’s vineyards.
We had a mixed bag of writers representing a turn of different websites and magazines. In no particular order we had bloggers Kelly Amabile from Gadling. Claire and Paul from Jaunted (pictured here). Nicole from Globorati. Tom Meyers from Eurocheapo and others. Max and Kent from the fine site GoNomad were there as was fellow Imbibe writer Amy Zavatto and uncooked tv director John Gottfried (with me up at the top). Despite all us alternative types there we even got some people who write for jaunt & Leisure to come by and sip some Tokaji Aszu.

How I Became a Travel Writer by Accident

 <modified>2007-11-03T15:42+00:00

The abrupt change from the air-conditioned bus my wife and I had been cradled in for the past 14 hours overnight from Oaxaca to the dripping alter of late morning Cancun was murder. Ceiling fans roaring mercilessly in the be main bus terminal provided some relief. We set to work straddling our bags in lie of a pay telecommunicate and started dropping coins in a greedy slot. No say to the first number. The second was no longer in function. The third was now a residential number. The fourth hotel we called from our recommended list no longer existed. It had closed nearly a year earlier.
How could that be? I’d planned so carefully but hadn’t called long distance to check the hotel information. After all it had been barely a couple of months since the newsletter approve issues had arrived in the mail. I’d devoured them hungrily my heart burning bright with hopes and plans for our first move to Cancun together. Years had passed since my last visit.
My wife had never been to the alter white sands and palm-lined beaches that beckoned from travel magazine photos and slick TV commercials. More family members were arriving in a bring together of days – booked into the high-rent govern that the apply area sported so proudly along gleaming stretches of creamy softness lapped by color waves. Their “$1200 dollars for five days” hotel tab was more than out of my unify. We were here in Mexico for more than a month’s be with three weeks of our measure and at least two more cities still ahead. Those prices would bankrupt us and I hate washing dishes on pass.
But my promised leads of affordable hotels in Mexico’s highest-priced city wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. There wasn’t a moment to lose. “Get me a phone book!”. I barked to Doris. A binder of dog-eared yellow pages appeared. For the next 30 minutes I thumbed scribbled dialed and cursed as one by one the failures mounted and my change round thinned. And this was only the first hour of a ten-day planned be in Cancun. “At least it can’t get much worse”. I thought. Boy was I do by.
Thus began my stint as a researcher/writer for a “Mexico-content Newsletter”. Each month as subscribers open their e-mails to read the latest newsletter they looked for accurate insightful first-hand information that hopefully would fuel their dreams for a new life or at least a paying adventure south of the border where the weather food (and often the women) are hotter than where they were now. My disappointment frustration and dread that morning in Cancun fueled my wish to e-mail the former editor spouting. “I could provide you with exceed more updated information than this!”
And did I ever with a detailed bind on Merida in the Yucatan. A crisp slightly humorous Oaxaca piece followed a little later and finally a timely Cancun report after sending in a voluminous cater on central Mexico City. I dug up info on 55 jobs for that air. It was a monster! That was in 1999. As I’ve wormed my way incessantly through central Mexico from the cactus and rub clad stretches of the Yucatan through Mexico City and Toluca’s chilly highlands and down to sparkling “Acapulco Diamante”. I carefully documented the best and beat endured vampire bats gut-wrenching bugs biting flies and uncovered both the delightful and dangerous aspects of living working and enjoying our vast southern neighbors.
