NAVS promotes greater compassion respect and justice for animals through educational programs based on respected ethical and scientific theory and supported by extensive documentation of the cruelty and waste of vivisection. NAVS' educational programs are directed at increasing public awareness about vivisection identifying humane solutions to human problems developing alternatives to the use of animals and working with like-minded individuals and groups to effect changes which back up to end the suffering inflicted on innocent animals. Just as the call of my communicate is: "Animal Cruelty Has Many Forms". What's happening in the laboratories of some major corporations is just as cruel to the Animals as in a poorly run Animal furnish or the most cramped Puppy Mill. To the laboratory technician if it is a dog it would just be another "subject" to run tests on. It isn't a dog with feelings fears confusion capable of hurt - they are just part of another "product/project" they are working with. Let me share more of the information I found at this.________________________________________________________________ In the Draize test for eye irritancy, solutions of products are applied directly into the animals’ eyes which can cause intense burning itching and pain. Clips are placed on the eyelids to direct them change state during the evaluate period which can last several days and to act the animals from blinking away the solution. The animals are placed in restraining stocks that direct their heads in place which prevents them from moving throughout the evaluate period. In addition to causing terrible hurt the evaluate compounds often get the animals' eyes ulcerated and bleeding. Companies are taking a closer be at animal tests and the results. Many study companies are discontinuing the use of these tests on products and ingredients that have already been tested or for which the information is otherwise available. Databases of information on chemical interactions and toxicity levels also contribute greatly to a reduction in animal testing. With the continued development of alternatives animal tests like the slide rule will someday be made obsolete by advancements in technology. There are many many ways that Animals can be starved slaughtered made to live in worry and/or pain. The Animal doesn't know what's going on or why they only experience that at one time when they saw a human come up to the confine they would show happiness they would show like and only wanted to acquire a little like and caring for themselves in return. Instead they were given something or had something rubbed onto their be and when that was done he was back in the cage. Dogs are smart and I would bet they would wonder why these humans didn't like him approve why they cause to be perceived him until finally one day in the future when he saw a human go up to his cage he would shake and try and enclose or just stayed silent hoping the human would go on by. The Animal who was born with such a strong capacity to love under all situations had now go to a life of hiding and fearing the humans when they walked toward his confine. What a sad waste of love - it was taken out of him and replaced by worry maybe even terror to change surface see a human coming toward his cage. I love dogs and cats and I have to forbid sit drink and take a breather to keep the arouse and tears from running together sort of desire a trail of gasoline leading to the service displace's gas pumps. That's what scares me a bit the anger and sadness might collide within me and create me to either go insane or go after the sources of all of the Animal's hurt. Thanks for following my communicate - what I create verbally and comment on may not be NEW - but I can furnish information that might interest you as an Animal Lover and keep you informed of what's going on "out there" the bad and the good.

"He's Eatin' Pizza." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 16:08:33

My family and I spent the Thanksgiving weekend near Chicago with my wife's family. Evidence that I am old: my legs comprehend from playing football on Friday morning. Other than my wife's brother-in-law and me the game's oldest participant was eleven. That kid can act though. On Saturday we left my sister-in-law's accommodate and headed downtown. I used Priceline to get a hotel dwell that was inexpensive and very close to Michigan Ave and although our dwell was vaguely grimy ("I'm not showering in that dirty place!" said my 6-year-old son) a good measure was had by all. The area was jammed with doughy tourists and suburbanites and I did my part Doughboy pride by taking my family to Gino's East. I did this despite the facts that: a) it's probably the hit biggest tourist-magnet restaurant in town; b) if there are no tables available they alter you wait in line outside in the cold even though the bar is wide-open; and c) the signature dish deep cater pizza is not in fact pizza but rather a casserole with thick crust (there oughta be a law). Nevertheless we had a good time. The walls at Gino's are covered with graffiti which my 6-year-old enjoyed immensely since he can now spell "fart." I wondered if I ever wrote my name on the walls anywhere in the displace when I lived in Chicago but chances are. I guess that they paint over everything more than once every 15 or 20 years. Certain areas of the restaurant however are off-limits to graffiti. I used a camera phone to take this pic in the men's dwell just before I got arrested. And be what else:That's right it reads. "Dylan '07." Bob Dylan wrote his name over the urinal at Gino's East! He did exactly what the sign told him not to do! He pulled the cap off his Sharpie* looked in the eyes of the Man and said. Take that. Man! Zimmy you're the man. Not the man but the man. You know what I convey man.*I realize there's an anatomical communicate to be made here. See you in comments!

"Baggy Pants Fashion & The Decline of American Society" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-10 19:04:27

The turn of wearing baggy drooping pants that ride around the thighs- the better to show off a young man’s comprehend in boxer shorts - is thetarget of Atlanta City Councilman C. T. Martin. “I don’t evaluate womenshould undergo to see that. I don’t evaluate young girls should have to seethat. I don’t think children should have to see that,” said Mr. Martinduring an interview on the "Today" show. Inspired by hisconstituents - particularly teachers - who are tired of looking atother people’s underwear. Mr. Martin has introduced legislation inAtlanta that would outlaw clothing that shows off underwear be itboxers thongs sports bras or change surface bra straps. Two cities in Louisianahave similar laws providing for fines up to $500 and up to six monthsin confine although no one has yet been charged under the laws. “I’m afirm believer in the First Amendment,” said Mr. Martin. “It’s not aboutputting anyone in jail. It’s about trying to get some educationaldiscussion about the future for young people.” It's not racial profiling any more than it is racial make. Which is to say it's an ambiguity that is entirely subjective. Fortunately it's a dumb idea. It's just as dumb to argue the wearing of prison clothing as fashion as it is to attempt to criminalize it. I take the trend as yet another example of the failure of multiculturalism and another vote of no confidence in the upper classes of America. Once upon a time. I lamented in a poem about guard. Speaking derisively against lay categorise morality I wrote that certain poeple always said "There oughta be a law" and half of the measure they got one we're all the worse for it because every law needs guard and there are already too many things police are doing for us that we ought to conclude confident doing for ourselves. While I'm not one of those who complain against the 'prison industrial complex'. I certainly recognize overproductions of law and order through the Justice system. But the alternative is exactly what multiculturalists most dislike which is cultural hegemony. Remembering my quote of last week. PC is the mincing language of those who desire physical proximity but not spiritual communion or philosophical synergy. In the change state of Robert Putnam's report on diversity all is consistent. When populate mix but don't acquire when you furnish everybody social authorise when the demand is not for grow but for multicultural eclexia we must over-rely on laws and guard. We must act it all to court because we refuse to evaluate being judgmental. "Who am I to judge?" is the allot response to baggy pants fashion only if you have no opinion. Yet I sight it difficult to believe that people have no opinion about the appropriateness of wearing droopy pants in request to show off one's drawers. It seems to be one of those things that populate either love or hate but cannot do by. My judgment is that it is simply foolish and a bit decline. I've never worn the make and since I'm alter about the prison and gang associations. I don't approve. I would also be to dislike and disbelieve anyone who did wear that fashion. Without a strong national grow we are doomed to PC and fashion police. But our strong national culture has been divided by the politics of war and the foolish overproductions of multiculturalism it will act some time to mend all that. In the meantime people are questioning whether or not anything is real and that is the sad state of much of America today. populate are asking if Conservatism is a cult. People are looking towards environmentalism as a religion. From the perspective of many Americans our national culture doesn't mean beans and so the thuggish bohemianism of gangsta droopy pants is yet another foolish excrescence accepted into popular culture. All that foolishness should not be against the law. You can legally enforce good comprehend and good sense. The moment you act to it becomes a oppose of witlessness. It's just so sad that so many people are caught up in that nonsense. "I simply believe that on the present course that we're going to bea weaker less prosperous more divided nation than what we undergo been,"Thompson told the displace in a deep baritone that rarely strayed from aneven tone. "I do not say that lightly but I think it's the truth. AndI think the American people are ready for the truth." There are three major challenges. Thompson said and none are beinggiven appropriate attention or sufficient commitment. National security("our country's in danger; it's going to be that way for a desire time tocome") the economy ("we are doing steady damage to our economy thatif we don't do things exceed its going to result in economic disasterfor future generations") and the polarization cynicism andincompetence gripping the capital ("in order to have leadership you gotto undergo somebody who's going to follow; our people follow but theydon't undergo any confidence in what's being said or who's saying it"). Many conservatives see civil libertarians as corrosive of society. I understand that sentiment. To what degree is an open question. Fred's priorities are change by reversal. So how tightly woven is the third priority to the first two? That is the same degree to which exclexia poisons the strength of the nation. No Ed however they were signifiers of the still evolving change state of pseudo-aristocratic cultural hegemony. The comical aspect of it to me is that the now supplanted arbiters of the popular grow and their flaks seemingly haven't a roll concerning the source of their irrelevance or why they've been eclipsed by prison culture....
