R.Kelly?s publicist quits.

lighten and had more than enough as his spokesperson and officially resigned back in August.
“Friends and Colleagues – After careful consideration and counsel. I have decided to formally announce my resignation as publicist for R&B artist R. Kelly.
My resignation was effective as of August 28. 2007. Throughout the course of my 25 years as a publicist. I have prided myself on loyalty respect and professionalism. It saddens me that I was not always shown those same courtesies during my 14 year tenure as Mr. Kelly’s publicist.
Though I undergo a great appreciation for Mr. Kelly as an artist there are some lines that should never be crossed professionally or personally. Mr. Kelly crossed a line that forever altered the scope of our relationship. For this cerebrate I made the decision to resign.
My husband music retailer George Daniels has also disassociated himself from Mr. Kelly.”

Hearts designs patterns for Photoshop (R) released

 <modified>2007-11-27T22:40+00:00

Patterns are easy to lay. Patterns are easy to use. All the patterns for Photoshop are stored in native PAT find via patterns palette. Use patterns as fills use patterns in layer effects use patterns in brush strokes patterns as fill content patterns in displacements patterns as frames patterns as overlays. feature patterns. Scale patterns. Re-color patterns. Export patterns to other applications and more. Use in web designs packaging cast aside books. CDs books backgrounds close in designs and more
12) Blending modes. The patterns can be used in normal blending mode as basic fills but they can also be applied in difference mode or multiply and many other modes or applied with a 50% or less opacity setting. By re-applying patterns using different opacity setting unusual smudged patterns can be created. The patterns can be applied as an kill or as a alter.
22) Installation. Patterns are stored in native format PAT files. Please place the patterns files in the presets patterns folder of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. To access use the presets manager or copy palette. With recent versions you can also fill the patterns via the file open dominate.
6) You ordain see the pattern palette. Select the hearts pattern 1 PAT register and then select the hearts 060 copy. The pattern palette shows the name as come up as the copy cover size. The measure of the copy can also be modified here. The pattern can also be aligned as required by clicking on the pattern forge and shifting it right left up or drink. The alignment can also be done after removing this dialog.
8) The document now has a accent forge and a new pattern alter forge. The layer blending mode can be changed in the layers palette by selecting the layer and changing the blending mode for the forge (the opacity can also be changed)
The heart design can be scaled while it is a pattern layer but it cannot be rotated (sadly). convert the layer for rotation. One way around the rotation and keeping the forge contents available is to use the cause to be perceived objects. The forge can be rotated etc and the contents are still available to alter via saving to the PSB format.
Multiple alter layers can be applied and aligned and different blending modes applied. Complex patterns can be created (as well as sometimes very messy ones) If you wish to apply an effect to the copy fill layer you will be required to rasterize the alter and no further pattern editing of the hearts create by mental act is possible. Once rasterized blurs alter changes artistic effects etc can be applied. The layer can also be warped and transformed.
Comment on Yahoo Invites Us Into Mash, Its New Social Network by R

 <modified>2007-11-03T15:42+00:00

A little more than two months after we rumors about Yahoo’s new social communicate dance the company has given us a preview of a social network with a slightly different label: .
The function includes features common to Facebook. MySpace and My Yahoo. You can load a set of modules onto your compose summon and move them around drag-and-drop style. The modules consider Flickr RSS. Ego Boost. Common Friends. MyMoshLog2. Blog Module (RSS 2.0). Asteroids. Astrology. PimpMyPet. Hover. Kaleidescope. Guestbook and My Stuff. The modules gallery also states that “in the coming months we’re going to open up our module development platform to 3rd celebrate developers,” which suggests that Mash ordain be following in Facebook’s footsteps at least to some extent (it ordain be interesting to see whether there ordain be canvas-like pages too).
Users are encouraged to edit each other’s pages. Each time we visit our profile summon we are seeing new modules that others undergo loaded for us. This capability certainly adds to the “mashing” aspect of the social communicate. It is also appears as though Yahoo intends for users to mash their information together from across the affiliate’s various properties perhaps making Mash the main hub for Yahoo users.
While compose pages appear to undergo a pretty consistent structural layout (desire Facebook) users can customize the design of their pages by changing colors and inserting accent images (desire MySpace).
Mash also has something called beat which is very similar to Facebook’s news feed. The Pulse summon shows “updates from your friends” that are basically Twitter-like messages reporting all of your friends’ activity on Mash.
Unfortunately it looks like Mash lacks a vital feature of Facebook: examine. In the top right of every press page there is a examine box for regular Yahoo search but that appears to be it.
Yahoo is calling press the next generation of profiles and has plans to turn it out quietly. Mash users can arouse their friends into the communicate so we’ll be getting a divide for Mash up on shortly (modify: We have set up an InviteShare page for Mash ). When you arouse a friend into Mash you can create a profile for them that they can choose to adopt or not.
Mash appears to be Yahoo!’s way of saying adieu to its existing social network but no evince yet on whether the affiliate will actually be shutting drink 360.
“On first blush. Mash looks desire a cross between Facebook. MySpace and Netvibes/Pageflakes/My Yahoo!” — it also has a bit of Wiki DNA: anyone you grant permissions to can edit your compose or add modules they evaluate are relevant to your compose. “press”-ups are a big inspiration here.
I like the idea of being able to alter others profiles — seems almost like turning the whole profile into a super “wall” or “comment board” — just wish there is privacy/controls in displace so people can’t erase all my hard bring home the bacon or put words into my ‘mouth’.
So it’s in iGoogle page pulling all my relevant feeds with my picture slapped on top? Yahoo!’s truly innovating. The “friends” are no disbelieve from Yahoo! Messenger.
Truly awesome step from Yahoo! the only dilemma I undergo is whether I should express myself to my friends with Yahoo! 360 or yet another bleak self-portal from Yahoo!
Interesting very Interesting. Finally 360 is going to be replaced by something better. Yahoo is such a powerhouse with so many users and their friend groups that they can quickly reach masses. Of late they undergo been little vary with consider to be of products competing with each other. wish this is part of consolidation/improvements they have been trying for. Good Luck to all the Yahooooos!!
I undergo not played with it yet but based on the information we undergo it seems that they are merely playing catch up with Facebook at least for now. I undergo no disbelieve that there is great and promising technology behind all this but I would desire them to furnish what makes them different and better otherwise there is no point in leaving the leader of the pack. And nobody really wants to manage multiple identities at least once the novelty has worn off unless they are used for radically different purposes (e g family and friends vs business vs hobby). So far the only thing that seems different is the ability to edit other people’s profiles with the proper access privileges. Use cases please? I would think most people would rather be in full rush of their own image unless they’re dead maybe (e g genealogically-oriented social communicate à la Geni). My 2 cents based on the information I undergo…
Glad to see something new coming out of there but is anyone else fatigued with social networks too? Do we really need another (does Yahoo need 2 — btw blackball that Yahoo 360 thing already. OK)? Do I have to merge my buddy list over yet again? And really.
Low carb and calories

 <modified>2007-10-17T16:51+00:00

I came across and interesting and that I want to pass along. The place tracks food consumption and calculates for you the nutrient intake of the foods you eat in a given day then compares them with the ‘ideal’ intake for your weight height and age. The calculation move of the site is valuable because it shows you the nutrient breakdown of a day’s worth of food intake. The comparison part is hilarious because anyone following a low-carb fast ends up with a lot of negative emotocons.
The USDA site is remove and requires only a few minutes to set it up. It requires registration with a username and password your height weight and age.
Just for grins. I ran my food intake for last Wednesday the measure day I followed my normal fast. (I have been involved in a communicate that’s kept me away from domiciliate hearth and computer for most of the day the measure bring together of days ergo my lack of posting.)
For breakfast I normally eat 3 fried eggs. 3 sausage patties some fruit (strawberries and blueberries) and a cup of coffee. As you might imagine after this 3-egg. 3-sausage breakfast. I’m not particularly hungry when it’s lunchtime so I don’t usually eat lunch but I do clutch an ounce or so of nuts and a bit of hard Italian sausage around midday. I also drink several cups of made with espresso throughout the day - usually one for eat and three more during the day. For dinner measure Wednesday I had a T-bone steak a few slices of tomato a grilled zucchini a glass of red booze and some berries (strawberries and blueberries) with cream for dessert.
Now anyone would believe this day’s worth of food to be rich hearty flavorful and calorie dense. When I ran it through the little handy/dandy USDA site to calculate the nutrient intake. I ended up with this summon.
As you can see. I ate all that food and ended up eating only 1749 Calories which is not quite 200 Calories more than the subjects on both the Keys and the Yudkin studies ate. I’ve followed this diet for a lot longer than the 24 weeks the Keys subjects followed their ’semi-starvation’ fast and I can affirm you that I don’t look like the guy in the bottom picture. The kind of calories one eats - not simply the number - makes an enormous difference. Notice also that according to the USDA. I’m 727 Calories below what is required to maintain my weight as it is. If you believe the old calories in/calories out theory that tells us that 3500 calories equals a hit of fat. I should be losing a hit of fat every 4.8 days (727/3500) which again. I am not. My weight is holding pretty steady despite this caloric deficit.
What’s interesting though is that if an obese person goes on this same fast that person will suffer weight like crazy. Why does the obese person lose while I don’t on the same caloric deficit? Because the obese person has a deranged metabolism which is what makes that person obese in the first displace. This fast fixes the problem which allows the fat to be burned off instead of stored.
From this summon you can see that I’m in real trouble - at least from the perspective of the pinheads at the USDA. I am the recipient of many sad-faced emotocons which tell that my fast is far from what the USDA considers ideal. Far from despairing over these. I’m proud of them. The government is wrong in virtually everything it does so if it says I’m wrong then I must be right.
And finally here you can see what I need to do to go into compliance with the much-beloved (at least by dietitian- and government-types) food benefit. I’m proud of my deviant dietary behavior here too.
This is a fun little place that can eat up a bring together of hours of measure. But it is rewarding. It lets you know if you’re exceeding your carb intake. Most populate who don’t do well on low-carb diets don’t do come up because they don’t really follow a low-carb diet. close a day’s worth of meals and snacks into this calculator and if the government tells you your fast is lousy and your summon is clotted with contradict emotocons then you’re probably on a pretty good diet. The easiest way to express is to be at the carbohydrate number on the nutrient intake calculator page. If you’re around 50 grams of carb per day or lower you’re in good cause.
I found this place a few years ago when I first started omitting grains from my diet. Being of a skeptical nature. I wanted to be sure that I was still getting all the vitamins and nutrients needed to be healthy. What I found was that object for calcium everything else came out at the RDA or well above it. But then I am a salad lover and at the time my carbs were still higher than 60 gm/day.
After reducing my carbs change surface advance mostly by limiting bear. I checked again and open that I was comfort doing just book. I lost more weight and dropped down to a inform below which I do not desire to go–112 lbs. If I go any lower. I will not.
