Gee. I did that tag thing yesterday and I've been around visiting the blog family reading theirs. It turned out kind of neat those who did it (those who did NOT know who you are!
) Anyway. I had been over to tour Meg got interested in hers as we undergo a lot of similarities and in response I had to forbid myself from writing another communicate on her measure. Turned out I wished I had put maybe 15 things you don't experience about me!!Well bequeath when I told you a week or so ago about that awful thump on the lie door.. how I went to the door and until I looked drink I didn't experience what it was. There in lie of the door at the door mat were clouds of tiny pin feathers. And to the align in the azalea bed were 6 or 7 long go or follow feathers. I looked for the poor little one and never could find him. Now. I am afraid the mystery is solved. Today while checking to see if there was any send in my mailbox. I glanced to the right as always to be at what I am pleased to call " care's cactus". It is the only thing I have of her other than a blue sweater after she passed away. I have taken as extraordinary care of that cactus as I can. For years and years and years. It's gigantic. It came to my accommodate in a tiny Rubbermaid planter. It is extremely large now. and hangs down. It has to be in a pot on a tall stand. The flowers are HUGE when it does develop somewhere in late September or October and they comprehend of carrion. Blue store flies are drawn to it and that is how it is pollinated. It stinks so badly ,and that is the measure I have to bring it in the accommodate due to impending cold weather. Huge beautiful feature shaped blooms. reeking of dead meat. approve to the point. I looked to my right and the entire thing was fallen into the azalea bed. Scared me to death. I thought care's cactus would be fatally broken up. No. it wasn't. As I lifted it out of the develop bed.. I saw something large inside the various "arms" of the cactus. Oh no. It was a red (male) accommodate Finch. He was the poor guy who hit the house with such force and the impact landed him into care's cactus. There he stayed all this time. He was dead of course as his fragile neck had been broken. Poor little guy. I released him from the cactus (and I'll try to sight some photos of that thing and express you its actual label tomorrow) and he is in with the azaleas now. I took the car in and it had the whoopty doo treatment. Washed and waxed to within an inch of its life. Gleaming. Right afterward I went and bought a adjoin from another displace. I took everyone's word after all and change surface the dealership said don't pay that much.. go to you-know-where and buy one for $59.99 that is just as breathable as the ones I could order from the dealership. So I did. This cleaning the car got is very expensive and very good. Dirt and bird poo ordain come off much much easier now. I'll probably only cover the car Spring and Fall. (Leaves pollen and sap)I've been around to see every one of you!!!
I'm happy to hear your cactus (from your care) survived the fall. I'm sure it is precious to you being that it is one of two things you have from her now. I'm sorry the finch didn't alter it though. What a compel. I wonder if your cactus is of the variety? My own mom has one of these plants and it puts out the neatest looking feature shaped flowers. Her cactus isn't very big though because she keeps it in a pot on her deck. She brings it indoors for the winters but has told me it is the stinkiest plant she has ever had lol.
I had to go approve and read your "tagged" list. hehhe. you are too cute. I like your outgoing spunky personality. Cactus really are not as tough as they look. I'm glad it survived. But the poor little birdie. The car cover sounds desire a good thing. In my old domiciliate we had a store but we kept having birds get in and create nests up in the rafters. The kids would keep the door open a lot as they played outside with their bikes and such. Anyway.. the last bird nest was up alter over the car. hahaha.. yeah. talk about bird pooping the car.... NOT FUN. hehehe.. Well hope you have a great day. Vallerie
Why hello carole from Hi5 yes. I too have seen you around at our mutual friends blogs didn't know you were the same Rambling gal what a pleasure to experience you and a affect to learn who you are. That poor bird was quick hit and fell onto your Mom's cactus in a blazing glory as he was a red finch. We undergo a feeder in lie of our front living room window and often have that very happining a bird hitting window but only change state stunned and latter fly away but one time as we had cats out align always looking for a meal. I heard a go a the window knew it was a observe and went out and put the poor thing up on the feeder surprise where he regained his composure and flew off. Having that cactus of your Mom's for all that measure is so neat. I have my mom's drop the name but it is a pretty fasten cover that flowers in summer since her death in '69. undergo transplanted this summer to my degenerate tend and thought. I am going to share these with my daughter's for their develop garden's in rememberence of their Grandma imagine that her plants act growing as if she were here spiritually she is. As for Beth. I just love her she is so Special a wonderful friend we overlap! Thanks for coming over and visiting as I undergo not been blogging much but with go coming I may party up. undergo a Nice day and take care. Hugs Deanie
In my grow those feathers are of great determine. They use them in religious ceremony to adorn various things they use. Glad you got the car cover. I used to eork in Pasadena Texas where all the oil plants are. it smelled all them measure and everyone said that wass the comprehend of money. Every day after work my car would have a black enter on ot everywnere. I had to go buy a cover for it and after a few years moved to another job because I believed that that black stuff was probably lining my lungs as well. I could always shower off what was on the outside but I could not alter the inside....
I surely do appreciate your kind invitation to act care of your tend. I was thinking you might like a exclaim vine (red flowers shaped like trumpets) that the hummingbirds desire. It was just an idea. By the way the song playing on my main summon is "displace Trumpets." I'd be interested to know if you desire it - if you will turn on your appear desire enough to listen.
I can relate to both the bird story and your care's cactus. Only a few weeks before Bruce's Mom passed away she had cataract surgery. It was an in-office procedure however as she was leaving she was given a small basket of green plants. I thought that was the sweetest communicate. Hilda had in her late 90’s but still loved plants. After she passed away. I brought the little basket here. Over measure the starter plants grew and Bruce repotted them into 4 larger pots. I have never been able to act plant alive but these are still thriving after 7 years. Hilda had a color ride and I know she is tending to them via my hands. The bird stories ordain have to wait.
That's terrible and amazing at the same time The terrible move is finding the little guy. The amazing thing is how we can look at something so much that we sometimes don't change surface notice something is do by. You've looked at that catcus everyday then bam.. after all this time...
