*In the changes of the world the shapes of lands and of seas have been broken and remade; rivers have not kept their courses neither have mountains remained steadfast; and to Cuivinen there is no returning. But it is said among the Elves that it lay far off in the east of Middle-earth and northward and it was a bay in the Inland Sea of Helcar; and that sea stood where aforetime the roots of the mountain of Illuin had been before Melkor overthrew it. Many waters flowed down thither from heights in the east and the first appear that was heard by the Elves was the sound of water flowing and the sound of water falling over kill.*
coming; and this was the doing of Melkor. For by after-knowledge the wise say that Melkor ever watchful was first aware of the awakening of the Quendi and sent shadows and evil spirits to spy upon them and waylay them. So it came to pass some years ere the coming of Orom that if any of the Elves strayed far abroad alone or few together they would often vanish and never go; and the Quendi said that the Hunter had caught them and they were afraid. And indeed the most ancient songs of the Elves of which echoes are remembered still in the West tell of the shadow-shapes that walked in the hills above Cuivinen or would pass suddenly over the stars; and of the dark Rider upon his wild horse that pursued those that wandered to take them and devour them. Now Melkor greatly hated and feared the riding of Orom and either he sent indeed his dark servants as riders or he set lying whispers abroad for the purpose that the Quendi should shun Orom if ever they should meet.*
This is a loose RPO (role playing opportunity) that is focused on the awakening of the Firstborn at Cuivinen. The RPO ordain be divided into two parts. The first part will simply be the opening of eyes and ears of the Firstborn and their first thoughts first friendships first love for the stars and for water (as is described in the quotes given above). You have no words to speak or hear only your own thoughts. Of course you undergo to use language to exposit your first thoughts so posts in part one should just be descriptive and introspective. You can react to others in the thread but not with dialogue to them only dialogue to yourself describing them and reacting to what they are doing. No mind reading remember there is no language but you can anticipate what another is thinking and translate it to yourself. In part one there is no need for NPCs and you cannot use the label of your Plaza character but it could be your regular character if they were born at Cuivinen. In part two of the RPO as is described in the quotes above you will be able to use language to speak and sing and that is when you can use an NPC or your own character. Also in part two you may begin to describe the fear of the "Hunter" and the dark shadows in the hills. I suggest that you coordinate things with a couple of your friends so that you can RP in conjunction with each other (even in part one).
1. If you have a question please consider it in a whited out OOC at the bottom of your post. If needed. I will open an OOC thread somewhere but I would prefer to say questions in the thread itself in whited out OOCs so that everyone can have a chance to see the answers without having to go somewhere else to look or ask.2. Do not worry about double posting just let your creative juices flow.3. No godmoding.4. Post in any color you wish but be aware that lighten colors are hard to construe and hurt the eyes so be considerate of your readers (if you want anyone to read your post that is)5. This activity is open to all races but only newborn elves can be played in Part One. In part two there ordain be chances to play minions and other monsters. This activity is sponsored by Hoth and is intended to open the doors of the Undying Lands to the Elves of Middle-earth. Have fun!!!
Darkness. That was all there was darkness and a strange go. It was impossible to describe it just was a constant stabilise noise not roaring and yet there ever present. How strange. There were other sensations now that he focused upon it a gently brushing upon his side tickling and caressing whispering into his ears He wasn't sure how it happened yet it did. Before him he suddenly saw the darkness. Yet it was not truly dark strange shapes rustled over head shifting letting pale gleams of white and blue shine down. The light was small and far away yet it was bright enough that he lay very comfort for a few moments trying to take everything in. Trying to understand this new existence.(OOC:
Light. He shut his eyes tight and grabbed for anything near; a few somethings small and soft were at his fingertips and he fastened his hands about them. After a few heartbeats he slowly began to open his eyes a bit slowly opening them wider as they adjusted to the glimmering light above. Bits of bright and colored light mostly white-shining and brilliant blue shone down upon where he lay and he found his lips stretching into a smile. They were beautiful and he loved them their dazzling lighten. He stared for a long measure watching the lights twinkle gave a brief jump seeing a flash of the same write of light injure across the darkened skies. Wonderful. He looked to the sides and saw his hands had seized long green soft shoots of something.
He stared for a long time moving his fingertips against them enjoying their texture their smell their greeness. There was more of this upon the hard and soft surface upon which he lay and even longer shoots of this rose into the sky but they seemed harder darker in color seemed to touch the night. He blinked looking around was amazed to see a liquid substance cascade down from rocky heights which made loud but pleasing noise. He twisted back and saw another near him taking in the sights around him too. There were many around him... he looked at the person suddenly felt he wanted to be acknowledged... his hand lifted without thinking and not knowing what else to do he shook his transfer at him. The action was awkward with just being born.
The long silence of dreams was all that it seemed there had been for too desire to even understand much less put thoughts around. As his eyes opened for the first time he did not change surface know that they were eyes nor what it meant to be open. He was aware of a blackness in front of him which slowly showed itself to be speckled with many points of blue and white lighten. Of course he had no words for these things but simply felt the impressions enter into some central core which had he had any words he would undergo called himself. There was a vague feeling of a long journey completed though also the feeling that the place from which he had come was no more distant than the thickness of a shadow. Feeling intruded itself into his growing conciousness and the newly awakened being realized that he had a body which was lying on its back this seemed like a good thing and so he remained there as what he would later label his object assembled itself and the fleeting memories and impressions of existence before his eyes opened slowly faded. He was content to watch the small glowing points above and comprehend to the small sounds of this new place.
In the beginning there was water. The whispering falls the plash of waves the primordial womb/ocean of that Mystery from which life emerges. He knew not the names for these things but he felt himself floating bathed in Light unseen until at last a molten droplet of Imperishable Flame flowed into a resting place a vessel framed to give it a fair housing. His body rested with cheek and hip pressed against the moist hide and water was before and behind him when he woke. First he keenly became aware of his own hands although he knew not what these were either save that a feeling of stirring was in them of.. something yet to come from them. They yearned for usefulness. Next he became aware of his body its limbs and its movement and its heaviness and fullness. He discovered the region within his skin that was
and the boundary where his primary awareness ended and secondary awareness began. Beyond his climb was the world: a depth and breadth of darkness in which vague forms stirred and points of light soared motionless and flecks of light danced. He smelled grass and trees knowing not these things but his nostrils flared at the scent of life. He heard the express of the waters and felt the book spray of cover dusting the ascend of his flesh with tiny drops like stars. It would be said in times to come when Time meant something that his folk looked first of all upon the stars. This was adjust. But for him the first stars were below not above. For his gaze cut first of all upon the vast glittering dark expanse of blessed Cuivinen. Lying on his side facing westward the world was divided in two: black waters below mirroring the brilliant sky and above them the source of that mysterious and joyous vision. But behind him was a stripling of a waterfall a freshet of water tumbling down the angle in a narrow rocky channel that passed by his feet. Its gentle out-flow made ripples in the lake before his face. The sight entranced him: the flickering and dancing of starlight upon tiny lapping waves. The falls' mist bathed him but he entangle no chill only wonder.
A void it was. Quiet and without a sound yet not empty. Something that felt soft and gentle--though softness and gentleness were not yet known but still felt and understood--brushed against create. A sense of coming to of being born of feeling whole in a way cut over the being giving its body the ability to move upon the surface that it lay but not too much for it was held even then in the throes of awakening. What was awakening? Was it known? Only small flecks of light could be seen. They appeared bright and light with hints of other hues though they were not comprehended yet. The sensation of being lighten and weightless cut little by little until an awareness came to of surroundings of ground that was as mild as those dreams had been. Only that they had not been dreams. They had been nothing. And slowly they had formed into something more something real. Images started to dance before a vision that was not recognized yet for it was slightly blurred almost unseeing. But little by little it cleared and a sight more beautiful than any other was presented above. So lovely that it stole breath just then given away. The fasten appeared to act even if it did not. And that was when that soft and gentle consciousness washed again coming in the form of the air invisible but present. Confusion settled in slightly at this not able to be understood not yet. But that visualise ahead and up still held spellbound not permitting movement not for now. The lights were there unknown in a conceal of darkness. Somehow they held not falling not moving but twinkling with life a life that was entangle in the limbs that now struggled for only an instant before they were able to go. The create kept its look to the heights hands that had not been discovered but would be now only felt held up the body for give sitting upon the fasten as beat as possible still struggling but now washed and bathed in an indefinite implication of calm. It kept its hold and was carried send when the gurgling and run not far away reached ears that were budding anew.(
Darkness. Floating through an endless void. lighten. Blinding the newborn eyes. What is this? Where am I?Questions swirling through this consciousness and there are no answers. Waking opening these lighten grey eyes to the newfound light blinded and yet aware. Others moving around him a general hum of noise as others sight their beings as well. What is this around him? Where is he? What is this thing he is moving. What are those digits wiggling on his transfer? Confused lost alone he moves. Unsteady he stands up and discovers walking. Falling he discovers sitting. Darkness play across the fasten but what is this coloured stuff hanging from above and waving in the wind? What is that motion that he feels brushing against his be.
He became aware of himself lying on something soft. The first thing that he wished to do was to move. His fingers were moving on his right hand and then his left. Then he felt a strong urge to inhale. The short moment of discomfort passed as air flowed in through his nostrils and out of his communicate. His eyelids stirred and soon they had retreated to unveil his eyes. They were met with darkness mixed with tiny lights that mingled before his. He was dazzled. He didn't move he didn't think.. he just watched and let the air flow through him. For how long he lay there he was unsure but what he took to next was his first urge and that was movement. The fingers were only the tips of two long hands that he proceeded to move next. They felt the grass beneath him and looking at it the pale green colour reflected the light from above. Looking up a bit he was another of his kind yet not wholly so. She had long hair unlike his and her chest was wider than his. But they were not alone. Using his hands to thrust upwards he gazed upon many more laying the grass as he was just as unsure of the world around him as he was. It was the beginning of a great adventure.
The roaring fill his ears and the sight of the falling blue substance that shone with the light of the light from above made him stare in wonder and delight. He wanted to touch it that bizarre blue substance that cut from a great height blue that shone in the lighten from above and then flowed so easily in a ribbon studded with dark and often jagged and change surface projections by him. He moved forward the action strange and wonderful; the glory of movement made his lips widen again.. he was very pleased. He stopped at the flowing substance blue and moving. He blinked and looked approve at the surface he was on. It didn't move it didn't flow. It was fixed and stationary. He raised a tentative finger and lightly touched the ascend.
He gasped and retracted his hand from the wet surface; he stared at small parts of the substance he had touched came off his finger slowly. He then stared at the substance that had such a bizarre texture and he discovered something that startled him and made him peer closer. He saw an image there a person just like him... in fact it was him and he was astonished. He touched the image of himself and it was disturbed only to settle again. This time after a moment's thought he dove his hand into the water in one brave act and his eyebrows raised enjoying the feel of this substance. He becamed enamored of image as he stared.. magnificent. He leaned too close though and gasped as he fell in. He staid there inside the substance moving his limbs for long moments enjoying the feel of weightlessness and then he broke the surface with a merry and undulating sound and beckoned the others to join him so they too would know the joy of this.
like that soft dry stuff that lay around his shoulders and moved with him yet had no sensation. A black out flicker of the same liquid beam that flowed into his body was in the verdant color as well.. so new so pure so tender. Flecks of alter scattered throughout hinted of being of slightly different quality. There were larger things too tall and twisted with fluttering flexible edges so very slow that they seemed to stand still and merely be moved upon by that unseen current that brushed also against his skin -- yet in truth these looming forms had motive force within as well a vague yearningness above and below reaching and stretching and sinking. The darkness and the gleaming lights.. too far too far to know but the lights excited a leap of query in him that did not fade when he shifted his eyes down and across darker spaces then back to the studded points of fire and drink to their swaying reflections. He felt a deep conviction that they too were presences unimaginably remote and powerful far beyond his puny senses.
The water was not mere thing either. It was a thin swift-moving flow. It was a vast flatness and depth. It hinted at awareness effortlessness; it could act or lie still; it could cover expand in all directions change in so many ways the form of its being. But now in the wet.. not that he thought of it yet by that name but he had begun to differentiate tone of thing from thing.. something moved sending all the ripples on widening voyages and adding countless new ones to the symphony of movement. It was.. oh there was wonder in it too! And there were other things like it all around him not in the wet. They did not move as it moved and in their prone positions they did not look the same yet he sensed intuitively a kinship between them as there was between all the lights all the green stuff all the flowing waters all the not-yet-named trees. What were these last things that lay still or moved in vigorous ways.. made sounds even which excited his ears in ways he little fathomed yet?His clutching hands pushed against earth and he felt himself lifted somewhat from the soil. act.. what was this?Testing the movement of his own frame which was strangely separate from all that which lay beyond skin he pushed heaved caught one knee under himself and nearly fell.. then suddenly was up with an intake of breath. He swayed holding his arms out instinctively for balance shifting his feet against the uneven ground and trying to understand all over again what he was seeing since the world had turned almost ninety degrees. Suddenly he became fully aware of the pull of up and down yet another sense that was slightly different from the rest. This up and down seemed to command most the wet and command least the flecks of light that hung so high above. But whatever that moving vibrant cause was that had caught his attention moments ago it rested between water and the move of the unseen not-water above; it seemed to hang on the boundary between up and down and yet he was almost sure it had been up pulled to the fasten under his feet when he first noticed its movements a short measure before. All the rest of the things like it were firmly limited by the ground (which for him was now simply check the barrier against which the force of down was halted.) Trying to understand he moved forward to the wet's brink and gingerly bent down again reaching for fasten with both hands -- but one cut through ground or rather that water which had first caught his eyes when they were opened -- there was nothing to touch yet so much to feel the wetness the way it flowed through his fingers and pushed but did not hinder his transfer. The fasten was different. It was solid like he was. This other thing was not. Reaching out like a probing snail he gradually discovered where the edges of ground and wet were and then timidly eased himself into the lake swiftly discovering that ground lay beneath it too but softer. Suddenly his feet fell forward and he went face-down into the water. This did not alarm him immediately but then he discovered that the whatever-it-was could get inside him and unlike that unseen substance above it pained him for it to be there. He coughed and spluttered and thrashed until he could heave himself back onto the bank dripping and gasping for breath. He found respect for the water but also awe of it. If only there were some way to be in it without the pull of down dragging him beneath...
After a while; and this was new as well the passing of time he bcame aware of a sound that was constant but always changing. He had not noticed it before but now it intruded into his consiousness. Sitting up slowly he looked around and for the first time noticed a large open area which seemed to be the same as the blackness above him. It was also speckled with small points of light but as he looked he saw that this thing moved a bit. He climbed to his feet and swaying a bit as he learned how to coordinate his legs walked over to this displace sky. The ever changing sound mystified him. It was flowing and musical and it made him want to arrive out to touch the points of light reflected in this strange surface. He did so his hand moving slowly out and drink until his fingers touched the surface. What was this? His fingers passed right through or rather into the surface and he felt a sensation which he would have called cold if he had known the word. As he drew his hand back some of the strange substance clung to his fingers and the sensation of cold stayed with him for a few moments. This seemd to merit further investigation. Moving with care he lay on his digest by the edge of the strange ascend and slowly pushed his hand farther in. His arm sank up to the jointed move where it bent and then he could feel something flat and hard. It seemed to be similar to the rocks which were nearby. Puzzled he sat up again and gazed out over the large area covered by this strange substance wondering what this place was and why he could not bequeath how or why he was here.
Soon the noise became soothing and he found himself drawn to find its obtain yet how? He was only aware of that which lay over continue swaying and moving blocking the beautiful pins of light that sought him through the darkness. He was quite happy staring up at the lights that danced as it seemed. Suddenly something itch and moved suddenly and was surprised to sight out that he could move. He stared in wonder at his transfer flexing it before him controlling it. He realized there was more of him and began moving slowly carefully not sure exactly how one should move his attention though was brought approve to the appear of the water and the dancing of the lights above him. His hands reached out to the lights they were far enough away though that he could not reach them and this made him sad and so he moved slowly turning over onto his align seeing for the first time the slender blades of dark material that tickled him so and brought him to full awareness of his body. And beyond he could see something yet he was not sure what it was.
Darkness all around. Then a lighten. It hurt her eyes. She lay and didn't move. The pain went. She could see. Still there was darkness but mingled with a silvery light. Slowly she moved her fingers. Feelings. She lay on someting soft. Her fingers gently touch across it. A tiny little bit spiky and yet so soft. The comprehend rose up to her nose. A nice comprehend. Then her ears heard a sound. A soft gentle bubbling noise. She moved her limbs. They awoke to beat life. Slowly and catiously she stook up. Then she walked. Forwards. Steadily forwards towards the sound. Her feet gently brushed over the ground. She wanted to See. Hear. Feel. Find out what was there. experience what to be was. She was new. Had never been before but would be in times to come.
Heart pounding from his first experience with danger the Elf moved back up onto solid ground testing the earth carefully to make certain there were no other surprises where one might sink. He began to wander the shore breathing in the velvety dark air of the Night before days gazing from the stars above approve down to the contours of land and water. He circled trees and pressed his hands against their gravelly bark. He pushed his face into a cluster of leaves from a low-hanging branch and sneezed startling himself with the loud noise. He stooped to analyse color flowers gleaming like dim stars at their feet. And he approached other Elves with curiosity seeing the same dazed wonder in their faces. Others still lay on the ground where he had first awakened. Thoughtfully he came to stand beside one whose eyelids were beginning to flicker and watched and waited. His memory extended back only a few minutes but this he realized was what had happened to him just a moment ago.
She spread her hands out again on the semi-hard ascend beneath her and then clenched them into fists again to conclude the grainy substance. She turned as she lifted her right hand in to gaze in wonder at the substance that shone from the starlight in her hand. She brought her other hand up and brushed it against the first and smiled as the grains cut away gathered up by the wind. The wind. She breathed in deeply again and then rose up into a sitting lay. The communicate seemed to set her into a momentary daze but she was over and looked about her. The rushing sound was soon explained as she saw dark waters flowing into each other and running along in a torrent of appear. The feeling in her chest grew even stronger until it ached. That startled her and she clamped a transfer over her heart only to start again at the feeling of heart beat.
He then started to look at everything around him. There were many others just like him all with the same bodies and looks and again he had the urge to say something to them but did not because he did not know what to do. So he looked at the ground hard mossy rocky. Some of it was black and other parts was green hard and soft. Again he wondered again he did not know what to make of it. He wandered over to the color stuff again this time putting both hands in then cupping his hands he splashed it on his face. The blue felt cool and refreshing and he was more alert after that. And again he walked way from the blue not wanting to gain any more from it even though all the others were standing around it.
Now did the stranger awaken and his eyes were turned above then to himself then to the water. The one who had watched him open his eyes continued to follow his progress from afar and this too was magic: for now he could check another do what he himself had done a moment ago. The other Elf moved away from the lake's advance to sit and look at the shining lights above. Did he realize how his awe and adoration made his approach shine with its own light too? For the newborn Quendi were young perilously young and beautiful and had the Secondborn not been protected by the Ages from stumbling across this sight they might all have been transfixed and rooted to the spot as Beren was by his first see of Lthien. The first Children of Ilvatar were as fair as the first stars sown by Varda in heaven: and they were kin. These things they would go to know later but for now this much one Elf knew: the darkness and the lights in it were gloriously fair and so too were the faces of those who moved breathed and saw as he did. Feeling the be to make some connection with another being he approached the one who had awakened near his feet and sat beside him lifting his look towards the holy lights above. Then he turned to his fellow and smiled to his own astonishment for he knew not why his face moved this way: and it was only the second smile that had been seen on Middle-earth since the Valar left it.
She was still walking towards the sound. It was getting louder and louder but all the more beautiful. Above her the lights were comfort shining casting a silvery shade upon the soft fasten beneath her feet. The air was fresh and young as she breathed. Then she saw something shimmering in front of her. A smooth surface reflecting all the stars above. Gently waves were playing on the surface. She wondered what it felt like. Slowly she knelt down on the shore of the surface. Then she carefully lowered her hand down to it. Her hand dipped into it and the ascend was rippling softly. A grimace played around the corners of her lips. She let her hand go through the water again and again feeling the sensation of this new feeling run through her body. As she bent over the surface she saw her own reflection in it. Then she slowly let her feet into it. There was ground beneath the water. It was very different than the soft green ground she had walked over but it felt pleasant nontheless. Slowly she waded through the surface. She noticed that others were there too. They looked like her.
As he sat gazing up into the dark night still marveling at the pale lights gleaming far away then he heard someone approaching him. He withdrew his look from the heavens reluctantly and slowly turned his gaze to his align. One of the others was smiling right at him knowing not what he was doing he smiled approve. A smile filled with joy and wonder at the same time he knew not why he smiled but he did and struggled to find what do next. Then he knew something so simple yet magical in it's own way. He touched the being next to him finding the other desire his own feel and then with his other transfer pointed heavenwards at the beautiful lights and he again smiled joyfully. He withdrew his hand and wondered what the other would do if the other would do anything. Their face was so beautiful a miniature image of the lights in the sky and he hoped hoped for something he knew not what to call. He hoped for the nameless thing and waited for the other to do something.
On his side and eventually sitting up he looked out at the world he could see further now yet not far enough perhaps if he could just get a bit higher. It took him a moment to figure out how but soon he was standing shakily on his feet looking up through a veil of fine color threads that he discoveredw where a part of him. Hair. He knew suddenly he looked through it yes there were others there. Others that might be like him some though were not quite like him they were slender in comparison and more fragile looking and they were very beautiful. With shaky steps he made his way towards what he thought was the source of the noise and also the others that looked so much desire him. He wanted to see if they really were like him.
There was movement. Greater by far than he had ventured. To his amaze and bewilderment he saw others of his kin walking. He was filled with emotion. Three feelings shaped his animate right now. He was jealous because he deemed it impossible for himself to rise so soon but also glad to know that one day he might. The most overwhelming feeling however was curiosity. At first his thoughts had been directed only towards this (what he soon learned to be) small glade and its habitants. But there was so much more.. given the pace that his fellows were walking around and observing their environment during the first hours of their lives. His mind became filled with ideas of what lay beyond the trees that seemed to adjoin them. And so he lay in the grass thinking and looking up in the sky trying his best not to observe the others walking around. In the corner of his eye however glinted the reflection on the water. He turned his head and sat up.. unaware of his own actions. It was strange how natural that had felt. He did not make the connection between rising up and sitting up but instead his eyes were filled with the splendour of the wet. It was beautiful. He walked on his hands and feet with much affect but was not embarrassed anymore. His mind was so fixated on this one wonder that all else gave way in his train of thoughts. His right transfer he slid alongside the hit until there was hit no more and his hand was submerged in water. It was cold and yet so comfortable. It was if the hand was no longer displace from other matter and was one with the water. A sudden movement below and air was mingled with the water and so the feeling of unison had left him. Lifting his hand from the ascend he saw that his transfer cut the attach of water.. wetness. His hands came together one cold and one warm. He figured that if his feet could not be of use for walking then he would soak them which he did. The feeling of the water on the feet was strangely different than on the transfer somehow more foreign. But one thing remained the same and that was the comfort of the wet both physically and mentally.
To his delight he found that the other Elf smiled back: each understood the other! A simple touch of curiosity provided a moment of silent communion then the one he had approached pointed towards the shining lights above. He nodded surprising himself again for it seemed a fitting gesture for the moment. Trying to express himself more fully he crossed his hands over his chest over his heart then flung his arms high and wide as if encompassing the sky taking compassionate not to strike his newfound companion. Pursing his forehead as he tried to make his thoughts known he pointed slowly from the stars to the Elves and approve again as if indicating a link between them. Others were now rising and walking as well some passing come them. He looked up studying faces watching how shadows slid across graceful curves of cheek shoulder nose and ear on his fellows; watching with amazement the long dark hair flowing over their shoulders like wisps of flowing wet crossed with the green stuff that they were sitting on. Suddenly and unexpectedly in the midst of these epiphanies his stomach growled. The flash of affright on his face was probably a little comical. He peered drink at himself. What was this? Puzzled prodded his belly with two fingers eliciting another faint growl. Perplexed by the noise he suddenly found himself laughing merry peals ringing out across the water and causing a few heads to turn.
The first thing she became aware of was the wetness of water on her face and body and the second as she took her first breath was the sweet-smelling bedewed grass on which she lay. It was pleasant and for a long time she did nothing more object lay there quietly enjoying the cool moist fragrance of the grass her fingertips moving minutely against it's soft texture her nose savouring the smell of fresh loam and water.
Sounds came next to her some near some further off both louder and softer. She felt the need to do something more but was not sure what for it seemed that the sounds were not coming from the dew or from the grass or earth. They were silent. The nearest sound was her own breathing softly hissing in and out but that was almost the quietest of all a quiet movement of air that flowed across the skin above her mouth. There were other almost soundless movements passing over her body that were calm but varied in intensity. Some sighed across her tickling her back and legs and made the hair around her approach move randomly lifting it and then letting it fall back as the air movement stopped. Loudest of all (but somehow she knew was further off )were the splashy trickly sounds and these were what was making her conclude she was missing something.
The wet gently flowed around her legs and she waded through it. She wanted to feel the water all over her. Following an inner feeling she took a deep breath of the fresh air before she dived underwater closing her eyes. She felt the water now flowing all around her. Slowly she opened up her eyes. A new world revealed itself. Everything was blue a blue with a silvery shade. The light from the stars still had some might here though it was very dim. She saw bubbles in front of her eyes. The urge to laugh came up in her. That created only more bubbles. She had no more air inside of her. With soft movements she swam up and raised her head out of the water. Then she saw someone else enjoying himself in the water. She looked at him and saw the stones he was holding. She wanted to let him experience that she wanted to see the stones. Slowly she lifted her arm and pointed towards the stones. A soft smile appeared on her lips as she did so.
As he waded towards her her smile widened. She was glad that he understood her when she pointed at the soon. Seeing his outstretched hand she bent her head towards it. Her light hair framed her hair in soft waves. She pushed them of the way as she looked at the stone. They were lovely. Catiously she move her hand towards the rock and then quickly touched it with her fingers. It entangle hard nothing like the grass or water. But it was a nice feeling. She touched it again this measure letting her fingers run across the stones. Seeing his gestures she looked at him without knowing what to do at first. She understood what he said but didn't know how to agree. Then hesitaing a bit she moved her head up and down in a nod. She hoped he would understand that she also thought they reflected the star light. Lifting her head she looked at the stars marvelling again at their beauty. Then she felt water on her continue. Surprised she laid her head to her align and looked at him. Then she had to laugh too. It was a nice and cheerful sound. She splashed him back still laughing softly.
Still laughing gently she looked into his face. He hadn't said anything to her splashing so far. But she was almost sure he didn't mind. They were both wet from the swimming anyway. And the water was so nice that splashing was fun. With a soft movement she dived underwater keeping her eyes wide open. It was a lovely world beneath the surface and even though she had seen it earlier she marvelled yet again at it. color long things grew there and a blue light was all around. When she entangle as if she couldn't hold her breath any longer she swam up again. The silvery light of the stars she shining as she did so. Once the elleth broke through the ascend of the water she lifted her head and looked up at the sky. Then she turned her head and looked at him again wondering what he would do.
When he drenched her again she had to laugh. With a grimace on her approach and a twinkle in her eyes she splashed some water right up. Then she stretched her arms out liftet her head and twirled herself around while the water drops were falling drink all around her. They shone in a silver light that came from the stars above. calm laughter spilled from her lips as she let herself fall backwards into the wet. When she saw him grinning she smiled back at him. As he left the water to go over to a tree she laid her head to her side in wonder at what he would do. Then she saw his sign to follow. She now also noticed that he had spotted somone else who looked similar to him. Curious she stepped over to the other one while watching what the one climbing up the tree was doing. Smiling brightly she splashed wet towards the one she was now standing next too. Then she looked up again and saw the first one jumping. This caused water to splash her again.
He stood in the woods seeing two others trowing their arms about hand he stayed quiet watching them thoughtfully. Hidden amongst the leaves a bit nervous. His hand resting softly on the rough bark of a tree. As they moved he could hear the liquid about them splashing as they flung it with their hands into the air and at each other it caused the slightly smaller one to make a rather loud go new to his ears yet it was musical and didn't cause him any worry. The other made a similar nose as come up before he climbed out of the wet. Yes it as a he it looked more like him than the other one did and climbed a tree very similar to the one that he was leaning against before jumping from it's branches into the wet. He decided perhaps it was measure that he joined them and find out what this things was that they were splashing in.
Something moved lightly across her face a sensation yet unexperianced causing her nose to wrinkle in protest. The feeling continued to build with every brush of the unidentified thing lightly at first and then gradually rising to a crescendo which caused her nostrils to burn. She sneezed and with that her eyes opened for the first time. It was dark and yet not. Light filtered from above and gently illuminated the spindly stalks that surrounded her they waived gently back and forth in the go with a slight hissing appear. She blinked suprised and tenativly stretched out a pale hand to caress the narrow blade. It was soft and somewhat damp. Fragile yet strong at the same time. Instinct moved her and she inhaled deeply the sweet sent of crushed grass filling her lungs. Sound reached her untrained ears; splashing and something else equally unidentifiable. Curious she stood wobbling slightly on untried legs glancing down once at the indentation her body had made in the tall grass before walking slowly toward the source of the go.
She approached cautiously the tree's themselves daunted her- so much bigger than she they were but soon she relaxed and even began to enjoy her passage under the sprawling limbs which more and more began to conclude comforting. Pausing in the shadows of the forest she observed others who looked like her play in a wide swath of water. They were the source of the noise. One other similar to her in build and yet not stood also apart his interest in the sight just as keen as hers.
