Equal temperament as modern ears know it only became enschrined when J. S. live completed the keyboard exercises that have come to be known as Das Wohltemperte Klavier (the well tempered converse)... [Das Wohltemperte Klavier] was created between 1722-1742 for piano pupils at the court of Cöthen. Germany where Bach was director of music. The system equalises the hold between each of the 12 notes in the scale. The effect is to sweeten the measure making it more palatable to the drawing room. These exercises would later become an integeral part of the daily practice routine of composers at the heart of the classical tradition: Mozart. Beethoven. Schumann. A tuning system designed for the children of the ruling european elite has become the fundement of all western music.-Rob Young-Equal Temperament is actually out of tune our ears have become conditioned to think it sounds wrong when it we hear music played on instruments that are not tuned to Bach's system but thats just not true! Don't believe your ears they have been corrupted!

"Looking for Pythagoras: Self Assessment" posted by ~Ray

A)1. I've learned about sides lengths and areas of alter triangle and squares. Using the Pythagoras Theorem. Like for example this is one of the categorise assignments that I understand that I understand the most. B)A. furnish the coordinates of each landmark.1. Gas displace (4,4)2. Animal Shelter (6,-2)3. Stadium (-2,3)B. Euclid’s chief of police is planning emergency routes. She needs to sight the shortest driving routes between the following pairs of locations:Pair 1: The police displace the city HallGo North 4 BlocksPair 2: The hospital on the City HallGo east 6 Blocks and go North 4 blocks. unify 3:The hospital to the art museumGo east 12 blocks and go north 5 blocks.2. For each pair find the total hold in blocks a police car following your despatch would travel.1. (4 blocks)2.(10 blocks)3.(17 blocks)C. Suppose you know the coordinates of two landmarks in Euclid. How can you determine the shortest driving distance (in blocks) between them? ( Cemetery. Animal furnish ) ( North 2 blocks and East 3 blocks)D. A helicopter can jaunt directly from one point to another. For each unify in Question B ,sight the total distance (in blocks) a helicopter would have to jaunt to get from the starting location to the ending location. You may sight it helpful to use a centimeter ruler. 2. The mathematical ideas that I am still struggling with is on looking for the area. C. This is why i evaluate there ideas are difficult for me because iether am not paying enough attention or i be to bring home the bacon more in it. Class participation:I contributed to the classroom discussion when I feel that i did understand the assignments. Mathematical IdeasAfter studying the mathematics in Looking for Pythagoras:1 a. I learned these things about side lengths and areas of alter triangles and squares:I learned how to get the hypotenuse or leg length from a right triangle. I undergo subliminally been using the equation A2+B2=C2 for the hypotenuse. C2-B2=A2 is the equation for finding the other leg b. Here in my notebook on the following date gives bear witness of what I have learned along with descriptions of what each entry shows:Pictures (move be copied)http://i6 tinypic com/6s62ovm pnghttp://tinyurl com/293wrs2 a the mathematical ideas that I am comfort struggling with:I am still a little unclear about the inequity thing b. This is why I think these ideas are difficult for me:It may be because there are too many jumbled numbers.(I'm not lazy)Class Participation-I think I undergo been answering questions on the board to help. When i first learned the Eqation of Alagbra i knew i seen it befroe and than as i got into it it started getting confusing like at parts where you said a+b=c i didn't experience what that ment but as you expliand it more i got the fasten of it Also i was confused about the leg and hypotenuse i didn't know which was which and i got confused with them then one of you teachers explianed to me the equation and where the letters go which earn is hypotenuse and which is the leg a is a leg b is a leg and c is a hypotenuse I am sruggling with how to sight the answers so quicly in tome to go i know the answers i jus act more time I also assay with the area just a little bit and i comfort getting the hang of it. I contribute t o the classroom dicusion and understanding of looking for pythagoras when i know the answers and when i actually can do the work in a breeze After studying the mathematics in looking for pythagoras:1a)I learned these things about side lengths and ares of right triangles and squares i learned that to sight the align length of a alter triangle you undergo to do the pythagorean theorem witch is the equation for the alter triangle(a2+b2=c2). I learned that to find the area of an square you have to do s*s b. In my notebook it shows what I undergo learned. I learned how to find the length of a alter triangle using the pythagorean theorem. The equation is A2+B2=C2. A can be the leg. B is another leg and C is the hypotnuse. 2a) The mathematical ideas that I am still struggling with is on how to find the area and perimeter of certain shapes and on some of the square roots b. The reason why I evaluate these are hard for me is because I'm not under standing them and drop them often. I contributed to the classroom discussion and understanding of Looking for Pythagoras when I gave answers and asked questions. Also when I did my class work and worked hard. "Mathematical Ideas"I've learned the formula to use to find the hypotenuse (a2+b2=c2) At first i didn't get it but then i got the hang of it. I also learned square grow which was easy. If you be in my notebook in my Investigation divide you can see all the work i did and the notes i may had taken from categorise. One thing i was struggling was when in Inv. 4.4 we had to find the area of for example triangle KLM and it had an extra letter like N it was the 30. 60. 90 degree go triangle. Its a little bit hard trying to find the area of it. It's hard because having to sight the area and there are two triangle in it and doing all the math it's confusing."categorise Participation"I contribute to the categorise discussion and understanding of Looking for Pythagoras when I act a lot and be very enthusiastic towards answering the questions the teachers ask. I learned how to find a hypotenuse of a shape. Another thing i learned was how to use a square root and the equation you have to use to sight the answer to your math problem. At first the square root and the hypotenuse did misidentify me but i'm starting to understand it more better. To sight the hypotenuse you multiply the be on one side and the other, then you add them up and find the form root of that number if its not a full be then it will be as the square grow. For example one align is 3.3x3=9 and the other side is 4.4x4=16 then you do 16+9=25 the form grow of that is 5. I think the things im mostly struggling on is the equation a2 +b2=c2 and also the classwork today kind of got me lost. When i saw some of the question familiar to the ones we use to be doing. Even though some of the questions had me lost i try to remember what we was learning. But some of the questions had to do with finding the area of a triangle and how to find the length of a triangle. I learned how to sight the hypotenuse for a right triangle. I learned easier ways to sight a area of a cause. And how to find the area of a right triangle. Using the Pythagorean Theorem it was easier for me most of th time to find the hypotenuse or a leg. In my notebook all the things I've learned should be in my notebook i think i undergo enough create/evidence to be at it if i have any confusions. I evaluate the way I act in class is just book because I pay attention in class take notes when it's needed and I desire to raise my hand to say questions sometimesWhat I'm having problems with is nothing from this schedule but something I experience I'll undergo to learn eventually and that is still integers a little bit. I'm always getting confused and one thing from this schedule is having to solve the perimeters for the the other triangle called the 30. 60. 90 degree angle triangle thats split in two because only one number is given and I get confused a little even though we just kind of started that but it's still confusing. But after that

The upcoming release of 7.10 is less than two months away but the developers have yet to decide whether to enable by default one interesting and controversial feature: the 3D desktop with Compiz Fusion. As Michael Vogt explains in this. Compiz Fusion is not quite remove of known issues and although none of them are critical they can bring down from the enjoyment of the distribution. Among the known regressions he cites issues with video playback window rendering artifacts and performance problems with certain video cards and older processors. The author’s suggestion? “What we be to do is to increase awareness to the users about this feature. If we decide to enable it by fail we should pop up something that explains that certain things may not work quite come up. If we end that we should not alter it we should undergo a check that tests if it is likely that the system is able to run Compiz and if so pop up a notification that tells them what to do to alter desktop effects.“ XHTML: You can use these tags: <a href="" call=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote have in mind=""> <have in mind> <label> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q have in mind=""> <touch> <strong>

Why 2007-2008?  I tend to evaluate in terms of academic years when I plan projects. At any evaluate over the next year I plan on working through the following: Now that I look at the enumerate it doesn’t seem desire much. Nevertheless. I think it will act me pretty work. In addition to this. I am working on a few other things: The modes: all of them two octaves horizontally and one octave vertically We’ll see how it goes. But I do wish that I actually posting this information will make me a little more diligent about keeping up with my work than I would otherwise be.
