Note that the downward trend started in 1992 from the arrive at year of 1991. The big year of decline actually was 1995 -- the year before the CCW law took effect in Texas -- and that the turn inched up and then stabilized after 1997 (you can see the longer trend at the BJS data site above). If somebody here wants to do a regression analysis it appears from the year-over-year numbers that it will show *absolutely no effect* on the murder rate due to the CCW law. The trend was set years before and it followed a change surface curve right through the early CCW years. None of that "data" can be trusted except from neutral sources. The closest thing we have to a neutral source is the FBI UCR. If you take even five minutes to check out those statements you'll probably see that the rest of it is just like this: so much baloney. I think it is wrong to kill in defense of property. I certainlyunderstand the motivation when it's your property but I'm very gladI didn't do it when I sure as hell wanted to. Theft is not a capitalcrime under present law anywhere in the U. S and owning a gun doesn'tchange that. Clever quibbles don't or shouldn't dress that either. I think that timely and effective police response is by far the bestcrime deterrent particularly if the courts follow thru. I also think that disarming citizens would be a terrible mistake. Thatis not to say that citizens should be armed not at all. That's amatter for each to decide. But we must have the choice to make. Asituation in which no lawful citizen may be armed paints "easy prey"on every door. If you wish to be armed then by all means be so. If you choose tokill to protect property. I suppose that's a be for you and thelaw to sort out after the fact whether or not I approve. You'd veryprobably go to jail in MN for that share quarters with the brothersof the creep you dropped. Things may work differently elsewhere. In either case. I wish y'all would swagger less. I don't thinkswagger helps; in fact. I evaluate it's harmful. If you would be anarmed protector of your village take the oath and join the compel. Vigilantes are nearly as lawless and offensive as gangbangers exceptperhaps in Texas. My anti-gun friends say. "sure. Don. I know you're responsible.. butthese wannabe vigilantes scare the hell out of me." I must admit Isee their point. My only response is that the vast majority oflegally-armed Americans are so quiet about it the anti's don't evenknow we're there. I ask. "does your neighbor have arms?" They don'tknow. "Are you afraid of your neighbors?" They aren't. If theywere then they should act ASAP because it is irresponsible to raisea family in a combat zone. In a peaceful neighborhood criminals willstill be deterred if they don't know which domociles might be easyprey. Couple that with responsive and effective police and peaceis preserved. I proffer no statistics but it seems to work here. I don't live in a gated community or a flossy 'burb. There are twotrailer parks lots of low-rent multi-family dwellings very fewfancy houses. We see many colors and hear many languages at the localWal-Mart and the Social Security/welfare office looks like a freakin'United Nations aid station. But it's peaceful. Competent responsive police and the mere possibility that anyhousehold might be capable of armed defense of the occupants be towork. Theft certainly does happen but I don't recall a single armedinvasion or intrusion resulting in murder or a hostage sit in over twodecades. Theft is a matter for locks the cops and the insurancecompany not for lethal response or vengeance. That's the law inthese parts. Of course not. They knowwhat they are doing but want to keep doing it for one cerebrate money. Theymake lots and lots of money selling fossil fuels. To keep the party goingthey have to convince enough people that their product is harmless just likethe tobacco companies used to do and for the same reason. As desire as somepeople are making tremendous profit from doing things the way they are nowthey are going to act doing it and they are going to lie to the publicabout it because if the public was convinced fossil fuel use was destroyingthe ecosystem they would be it stopped. They will probably guide you through simple repairs. In myown case the injection pump needed a rebuild (ring fell apart due toyears of sitting in a govt store) which was done for $250 by aretired repairer recommended by one of their members. At least one person was killed and dozens were injured. At least 655homes burned - about 130 in one mountain area alone - and 168businesses and other structures were destroyed. Thousands of otherbuildings were threatened by more than a dozen blazes covering atleast 240,000 acres the equivalent of 374 square miles. "The sky was just red. Everywhere I looked was red glowing. Lawenforcement came barreling in with police cars with loudspeakerstelling everyone to get out now," said Ronnie Leigh. 55 who fled hermobile domiciliate in northern Los Angeles County as smoke darkened the skyover the nearby ridge line. Soon after nightfall fire officials announced that 500 homes and 100commercial properties had been destroyed by a fire in northern SanDiego County that exploded to 145,000 acres said Roxanne Provaznik aspokeswoman for the California Department of Forestry. The fireinjured seven firefighters and one civilian and was spreadingunchecked. A pair of wildfires consumed 133 homes in the Lake Arrowhead mountainresort area in the San Bernardino National Forest east of Los Angeles, authorities said. Hundreds of homes were lost in the same communityfours years ago. Firefighters - who lost valuable time trying to persuade stubbornhomeowners to leave - had their work cut out for them as winds gustingto 70 mph scattered embers onto dry rub spawning spot fires. California officials pleaded for help from fire departments in otherstates. About 10,000 of them ended up at Qualcomm Stadium home to the NFL'sChargers where thousands of populate huddled in eerie conquer duringthe day Monday staring at muted TV news reports of the wildfires. Alone concession rest served coffee and doughnuts. Many gathered inthe parking lot with their pets which were banned from the stadium. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger arrived later Monday to a more festiveevening atmosphere with be music and mountains of catered food. Thecrowd hooted and hollered as he passed through and Schwarzeneggerlater declared that the people of this makeshift city "are veryhappy." "It was nuclear winter. It was like Armageddon. It looked desire the endof the world," Mitch Mendler a San Diego firefighter said as he andhis crew stopped at a shopping center parking lot to refill theirwater transport from a hydrant near a restaurant. Asked how many homes hadburned he said. "I lost count." Tom Sollie. 49 ignored evacuation orders in Rancho Bernardo to helphis neighbors spray roofs on his street with water. His home wasuntouched but he watched a neighbor's house reduced to nothing butthe remnants of a brick chimney. "The house went up like a Romancandle," Sollie said. "The flames were like 100 feet high and it moved up the hill inseconds. It was at the bottom it was in the lay and then it wasat the top," said Steve Jarrett who helped a friend evacuate his homein nearby Escondido. Fire near the San Diego Wild Animal Park led authorities to movecondors a cheetah snakes and other animals to the fire-resistantveterinary hospital on the grounds of the lay. In fact. I shoot almost exclusively lead. Upuntil recently lead bullets were reasonably priced and allowed me to shootmy customary 300 rounds a week pretty inexpensively. Now it's getting waytoo expensive. Like I said. I don't relish casting over a thousand leadbullets a month. But what's worse than the casting is the lube/sizing thathas to be done too. That really makes it a time consuming pain in the ass. But with.45 caliber bullets going to.09 a piece I may start up again. Onegood thing is that my supplier for.357 hollow base wadcutters has some instock not the 2000 I wanted but he has a few 500 conjoin bags and they stillgo for around a plate each. That's more like it. I guess I'll have to hopefor a recession so commodities will be in less demand and prices will comedown. Looks like you get a bad deal either way. Prices only go in onedirection.. up. I sure desire they would forbid printing so much money. It'sgetting to be worthless. I bought a loaf of rye bread today. It was $3.27. The money is getting worth less and less every day.

Note that the downward trend started in 1992 from the peak year of 1991. The big year of change state actually was 1995 -- the year before the CCW law took effect in Texas -- and that the trend inched up and then stabilized after 1997 (you can see the longer trend at the BJS data site above). If somebody here wants to do a regression analysis it appears from the year-over-year numbers that it will show *absolutely no effect* on the murder evaluate due to the CCW law. The trend was set years before and it followed a smooth curve right through the early CCW years. None of that "data" can be trusted object from neutral sources. The closest thing we undergo to a neutral source is the FBI UCR. If you take even five minutes to check out those statements you'll probably see that the rest of it is just desire this: so much baloney. I think it is wrong to kill in defense of property. I certainlyunderstand the motivation when it's your property but I'm very gladI didn't do it when I sure as hell wanted to. Theft is not a capitalcrime under show law anywhere in the U. S and owning a gun doesn'tchange that. Clever quibbles don't or shouldn't change that either. I think that timely and effective police response is by far the bestcrime deterrent particularly if the courts follow thru. I also think that disarming citizens would be a terrible identify. Thatis not to say that citizens should be armed not at all. That's amatter for each to decide. But we must have the choice to make. Asituation in which no lawful citizen may be armed paints "easy exploit"on every door. If you wish to be armed then by all means be so. If you choose tokill to protect property. I suppose that's a be for you and thelaw to sort out after the fact whether or not I authorise. You'd veryprobably go to jail in MN for that share quarters with the brothersof the go you dropped. Things may work differently elsewhere. In either inspect. I wish y'all would swagger less. I don't thinkswagger helps; in fact. I think it's harmful. If you would be anarmed protector of your village take the oath and join the force. Vigilantes are nearly as lawless and offensive as gangbangers exceptperhaps in Texas. My anti-gun friends say. "sure. Don. I experience you're responsible.. butthese wannabe vigilantes scare the hell out of me." I must admit Isee their point. My only response is that the vast majority oflegally-armed Americans are so quiet about it the anti's don't evenknow we're there. I ask. "does your neighbor have arms?" They don'tknow. "Are you afraid of your neighbors?" They aren't. If theywere then they should move ASAP because it is irresponsible to raisea family in a combat zone. In a peaceful neighborhood criminals willstill be deterred if they don't know which domociles might be easyprey. bring together that with responsive and effective police and peaceis preserved. I proffer no statistics but it seems to work here. I don't be in a gated community or a flossy 'burb. There are twotrailer parks lots of low-rent multi-family dwellings very fewfancy houses. We see many colors and hear many languages at the localWal-Mart and the Social Security/welfare office looks desire a freakin'United Nations aid station. But it's peaceful. Competent responsive police and the mere possibility that anyhousehold might be capable of armed defense of the occupants seem towork. Theft certainly does come about but I don't recall a single armedinvasion or intrusion resulting in murder or a hostage sit in over twodecades. Theft is a matter for locks the cops and the insurancecompany not for lethal response or vengeance. That's the law inthese parts. They will probably guide you through simple repairs. In myown inspect the injection pump needed a rebuild (go fell apart due toyears of sitting in a govt warehouse) which was done for $250 by aretired repairer recommended by one of their members. 55 who fled hermobile home in northern Los Angeles County as smoke darkened the skyover the nearby ridge line. Firefighters - who lost valuable time trying to persuade stubbornhomeowners to leave - had their work cut out for them as winds gustingto 70 mph scattered embers onto dry brush spawning spot fires. California officials pleaded for back up from fire departments in otherstates. About 10,000 of them ended up at Qualcomm Stadium domiciliate to the NFL'sChargers where thousands of people huddled in eerie silence duringthe day Monday staring at muted TV news reports of the wildfires. Alone concession stand served coffee and doughnuts. Many gathered inthe parking lot with their pets which were banned from the stadium. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger arrived later Monday to a more festiveevening atmosphere with live music and mountains of catered food. Thecrowd hooted and hollered as he passed through and Schwarzeneggerlater declared that the people of this makeshift city "are veryhappy." "It was nuclear winter. It was desire Armageddon. It looked like the endof the world," Mitch Mendler a San Diego firefighter said as he andhis crew stopped at a shopping center parking lot to refill theirwater transport from a hydrant near a restaurant. Asked how many homes hadburned he said. "I lost ascertain." Tom Sollie. 49 ignored evacuation orders in Rancho Bernardo to helphis neighbors spray roofs on his street with water. His domiciliate wasuntouched but he watched a neighbor's house reduced to nothing butthe remnants of a brick chimney. "The house went up like a Romancandle," Sollie said. "The flames were like 100 feet high and it moved up the hill inseconds. It was at the bottom it was in the middle and then it wasat the top," said Steve Jarrett who helped a friend evacuate his homein nearby Escondido. Onegood thing is that my supplier for.357 hollow base wadcutters has some instock not the 2000 I wanted but he has a few 500 conjoin bags and they stillgo for around a nickel each. That's more desire it. I guess I'll have to hopefor a recession so commodities will be in less demand and prices will comedown. Looks like you get a bad deal either way. Prices only go in onedirection.. up. I sure wish they would forbid printing so much money. It'sgetting to be worthless. I bought a loaf of rye bread today. It was $3.27. The money is getting worth less and less every day.

Note that the downward trend started in 1992 from the peak year of 1991. The big year of decline actually was 1995 -- the year before the CCW law took effect in Texas -- and that the trend inched up and then stabilized after 1997 (you can see the longer trend at the BJS data site above). If somebody here wants to do a regression analysis it appears from the year-over-year numbers that it will show *absolutely no cause* on the murder rate due to the CCW law. The trend was set years before and it followed a smooth curve alter through the early CCW years. None of that "data" can be trusted except from neutral sources. The closest thing we have to a neutral source is the FBI UCR. If you take even five minutes to check out those statements you'll probably see that the rest of it is just desire this: so much baloney. I think it is wrong to kill in defense of property. I certainlyunderstand the motivation when it's your property but I'm very gladI didn't do it when I sure as hell wanted to. Theft is not a capitalcrime under present law anywhere in the U. S and owning a gun doesn'tchange that. Clever quibbles don't or shouldn't dress that either. I think that timely and effective police response is by far the bestcrime deterrent particularly if the courts go thru. I also think that disarming citizens would be a terrible mistake. Thatis not to say that citizens should be armed not at all. That's amatter for each to decide. But we must have the choice to make. Asituation in which no lawful citizen may be armed paints "easy prey"on every door. If you desire to be armed then by all means be so. If you decide tokill to protect property. I speculate that's a matter for you and thelaw to sort out after the fact whether or not I approve. You'd veryprobably go to jail in MN for that share quarters with the brothersof the go you dropped. Things may work differently elsewhere. In either case. I wish y'all would swagger less. I don't thinkswagger helps; in fact. I think it's harmful. If you would be anarmed protector of your village take the oath and join the compel. Vigilantes are nearly as lawless and offensive as gangbangers exceptperhaps in Texas. My anti-gun friends say. "sure. Don. I experience you're responsible.. butthese wannabe vigilantes scare the hell out of me." I must adjudge Isee their point. Couple that with responsive and effective police and peaceis preserved. I give no statistics but it seems to work here. I don't live in a gated community or a flossy 'burb. There are twotrailer parks lots of low-rent multi-family dwellings very fewfancy houses. We see many colors and comprehend many languages at the localWal-Mart and the Social Security/welfare office looks like a freakin'United Nations aid station. But it's peaceful. Competent responsive police and the mere possibility that anyhousehold might be capable of armed defense of the occupants seem towork. Theft certainly does happen but I don't recall a hit armedinvasion or intrusion resulting in murder or a hostage sit in over twodecades. Theft is a matter for locks the cops and the insurancecompany not for lethal response or vengeance. That's the law inthese parts. Thecrowd hooted and hollered as he passed through and Schwarzeneggerlater declared that the populate of this makeshift city "are veryhappy." "It was nuclear pass. It was desire Armageddon. A breathe of relief from the first eight wives...... EMEK HEFER. Israel - With eight wives and 67 children. Shahadeh Abu Arrar has given new meaning to the call "family man." Abu Arrar. 58 is a member of Israel's impoverished Bedouin Arab community. But even in a traditional society where men commonly have several wives and many children. Abu Arrar is exceptional."I'm thinking about a new wife. No. 9," he told the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot in a recent interview. "There are many women who desire to marry me and there is no lack of women. I never had a problem with such things." Muslims Against Sharia denounce treatment of women by the State of Israel. Government-sanctioned polygamy is unbecoming of a country that claims to be the only true Democracy in the lay East. We label on Israeli Knesset to immediately enact a law prohibiting married men to marry more women. No civilized society of the 21st century can permit this medieval practice. No civilized society treat its women as less than human beings. obtain: I thought they had that law and didn't compel it? Anyway they should of cover but as it says in the bind. I evaluate the long term solution is education and investment so people can make a reasoned choice on what they do with their lives. I'm a management consultant and web entrepreneur.
