"I'm weak" posted by ~Ray

On Saturday due to turn boredom I spent hours farming wolves near Oatbarton in LOTRO in order to instruct my tailoring skill up to Master Expert. Then when I was done I realised just how much bring home the bacon it's going to take to do the same for Master Artisan. I feel shame :(

"Repairing Loot?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-08-31 09:31:56

I had just won a very tough battle with a Goblin. He had thrown hot tar at me but was able to put it out and made it so there was one less goblin in the world. While I was searching through his pockets. I open something coat and scaly. I pulled it out and saw it was a cover of chain mail! As an armourer. I knew this was very well made. I inspected it for any flaws. I found none. There was absolutely no damage I could see. It looked as if it were fresh from a dwarven forge. I put the coat into my case and traveled back quickly to Oatbarton a nearby hobbit village. I went to the grocer to see if he could repair it. He gave a quick look at the item. "The chain mail is in perfect condition!" he said as he repaired my helmet. I took the chain mail and had a sudden thought: "Why was it in perfect condition? It was in possession of a goblin! Surely it must undergo rusted or dented? And if that creature had cared so much for the jacket why was it in his pocket in the middle of battle? It would have surely given him an advantage over I!" I jumped at a sudden realization. "And why am I having my armour repaired by a GROCER?"authorise. My little story just proves a point about steal and repairing. When a mob drops an item why doesn't it use it if it is armour or a weapon? And why when the item is aquired is it in perfect condition? Surely if it was in possesion of the mob in the contend it would have gotten damaged somewhat. And why do we let say a metalsmith fix my bow? This isn't that big of a broach to me. But I think that we should 1.) Have mobs equip their loot (if it's usable).2.) undergo the loot damaged a little bit (a bandit won't have an unchipped sword).3.) Make it so only certain vendors can repair certain items. IE Bowers repair bows. Heavy Metalsmiths repair heavy armour. 1 hand weaponsmiths repair 1h weapons etc. I don't think that it would be a humongous deal to do this. Or I could be horribly mistaken. But adding these three features ordain add a ton of realism to the game. It's a nice idea but I doubt very many people ordain give something that ordain increase their ameliorate bills more than they already are. As for mobs equipping their steal well the last time I saw a bear wielding a 2h hammer I'm pretty sure I was smoking some very tasty pipe-weed :PI've always wondered where the bears keep those big 2h weapons that just randomly drop off them. Seems a bit.. nasty don't you think? As for going to the different vendors for different repairs it's not a bad idea but probably not going to be a popular one. No-one really wants to run around a whole town looking for the specific vendor to repair their bow especially if there just happens not to be one in their current area. Somewhat a good idea. I like the idea of the loot you get is what they mob was wearing/useing (though this would really only be possible for humanoids) Titans quest did this for the majority (minus bosses) and I enjoyed scouting for something wearing something that looked shiney and new. Only letting certain npcs repair armor would be bad though. Not only would it be anoying to run half way across town to get to the vender for your equip then realizing you forgot to repair your weapon so making another trip across town. There is also certain places (Trollshaws first camp comes to mind) where there is a hit vender. The camp feels just right. Out in the middle of nowhere. But if I had to run to the other camp or rivendale every time I needed to change or ameliorate I would drop the trollshaws completely deliver a few quests with some nicer rewards. __________________Blackbellamy--you go to some website enter your ascribe card info and buy some goldTurbine which actually runs that website charges your card takes your money then bans you That reminds me... I once had a single mob (I think it was an press Crown in angmar) drop 3 sets of bring up pads: one light one medium one heavy. Which one would be the one he used? =P I could care less whether critter equips his loot. Having equipment damaged is annoying. Reduces wealth. I do not compassionate this. Having to run around to multiple NPCs to repair my equipment of sell it. This is a time wasting no value added hassle. No way. This means that in certain areas realism must be sacrificed. Imagine for example how much "fun" the game would be if your carrying capacity was realistic. authorise. I admit that 3 would be a hurt. However, for number 2 if they drop useless items (ie things that aren't purple or color) you wouldn't use it so why repair it? And I'm not saying that it should be 5/100 damaged but more like 90/100 damaged. So it would cost AT MOST 1s and that is worth using a drop. The one I'd most like to see is having items equipped. authorise if you kill something like a troll they may have daggers in their pockets that they wouldn't use or a tree killed an unfortunate elf and swallowed it's shoulder guards (I've seen that in the old forest. :P). But a humanoid not using cram in it's pockets.

"Lotro Power Leveling from 1-50" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-08-30 08:42:34

Level 13 - 15:My recommendation is to travel to one of the 10 - 13 level cities and complete quests there. They will be Blue and Green easy to complete and ordain get you levels rather quick. Elves/Dwarves: Swift jaunt to Bree and end quests in Staddle/Combe Humans/Hobbits: Swift travel to Cellondim and complete quests in Duillond/Gondoman Level 15 - 17:At this inform I would continue to Breeland. sight quests within Bree and at Adso’s dwell ( Adso’s Camp will have you running around theSouthern Bree-fields. Buckland ordain displace you into the OldForest. This can be tough but there are some great maps and resources available here and here. Falco’s Folly will mouth sending you into theNorth Bree-fields for a few quests. aim 17 - 20:Now you have two options to choose from. You can aviate quests from the Forsaken Inn located in the Lonelands. Or you can begin the series of quests in the Barrow-downs located in Breeland. The first few quests in the Barrow-downs are solo’s but they quickly turn into quests that you will need to complete with fellowships. All of these quests will eventually end with a series of instanced quests in the games first major instance. The Greater Barrows. This instance is designed for aim 21 - 25 in my opinion. You should also be able to complete during these levels. Level 21 - 25:Now to begin Book 2. move here for a. You should also mouth trying to get into a Greater Barrows run. There are 5 quests here to complete. Each of these will net you some good gear as well as great experience. You can also make your way to Ost Guruth in the Lonelands to act through your Lonelands quests. Ost Guruth is located at If you work through some of the Fellowship quests during these levels you should easily hit 25 without having to travel to Trestlebridge. But if you are running a bit low you can begin a few quests at Trestlebridge in the Northdowns (continue north out of Bree following the road). aim 25 - 30:At this point the Northdowns will be your primary domiciliate for awhile. You can end quests in Trestlebridge. Amon Raith ( ). These quests lead to the dilate of Garth Argawen the back up study dilate for the bet. There are a be of 9 quests to end inside of this instance. I would begin these quests around level 32. It’s tough inside of there but there is great loot and experience to be made their. You can begin Book 3 in the Northdowns during this time as come up. Click here for a. Level 31 - 35:Now you undergo the come about to jaunt to Esteldim located North of the Shire and West of Northdowns. You can mouth quests in Oatbarton ( ). You will also still be able to work through quests in Esteldim (which sends you primarily to Dol Dinen in Fellowship quests). You can also mouth running Garth Argwen approve in the Lonelands if you like. During this measure I would end Book 3 as well. Don’t drop to begin saving you money as well because at 35 you ordain be able to get your very own mount. Click here for the guide ““. At 34 you can also begin to alter your way into the Trollshaws. Head to Ost Guruth in Lonelands and follow the road East across The Last connect. You can stop by a dwell at for a few quests. Eventually continue along the road and alter your way to Rivendell (the most beautiful city in the game)! This trek to Rivendell can be tough but it is possible. You can grind a bit on the easier mobs come the Level 35 - 40:This was actually one of the toughest grinds for me but with the release of Evendim it has become amazingly easier! You can end up your quests at Tinnundur in Evendim and make your way north to Ost Forod for a few more quests. end your quests in Esteldim (some lead you into the Ram Duath in south Angmar. The Trollshaws will have some quests in Thorenhad and Rivendell for you as well. You can also begin on schedule 4. At around 38 you can also begin to get a assort for the next major instance. Fornost located north of Amon Raith in Northdowns. This is a tough instance but yet again the loot and experience alter it worthwhile. I believe that there are 7 quests inside this dilate. If you need to press some experience you can always pay some time just outside of Rivendell grinding on the easier mobs for decent albeit not great experience. ). You can also jaunt to the Ettenmores to act part in PvMP as part of the Free Peoples. There are a number of instances that are available as well. You can also work through Book 4 - 9 during this time as come up! There are always extra places and other options that become available to you as you make your way through Eriador. Good luck on your adventures as you rise to the top to reclaim lay Earth for the Free Peoples.  ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** <a.

- Weblogs or Blogs are personal Websites consisting of regularly updated entries displayed in reverse chronological order. They read like a diary or journal, but with the most recent entry at the top.

- Web logs or blogs are a type of Web content typically created by independent writers (although some reporters for media companies create blogs on newspaper or magazine sites). Some are oatbarton blogs; others resemble newsletters or columns. Often, they contain links to other sources of content.

- A weblog (usually shortened to blog, but occasionally spelled web log) is a web-based publication consisting primarily of periodic articles (normally in reverse chronological order). Although most early oatbarton weblogs were manually updated, tools to automate the maintenance of such sites made them accessible to a much larger population, and the use of some sort of browser-based software is now a typical aspect of oatbarton "blogging".

Posted on 2007-06-22 11:04:10

Blogs have been around for many years but have recently become somewhat a new craze. A Blog is short for Web Log is basically an online journal. They can be set up at little to no cost at all, and can be used for a wide variety of things. Some bloggers just blog for the fun of it, while others tend to use their blogs for business reasons.

The following are just a few ways blogs can be used:
1) Updates Keep customers/clients up to date on changes to your website. Also new product announcement and new related websites.
2) Reviews You can give opinions, advice and personal recommendations on specific products or services related to your field.
3) Personal and Business uses Blogs are a great way to keep track of your goals and plans just by open writing.
4) Stress Reliever Jot down your vents, gripes, thoughts. Some also find general writing therapeutic.
5) Search Engine Optimization Search Engines love text and content. You can also include links to your website which equal backward links which in turn equals high ranking.
6) Money Makers Yes, you can make money with your blog by providing readers with quality copy writing and a few affiliate links. So how is a blog set up?

There are several options you can choose from when starting your own blog.
