making it unquestionably her best album to date. On it she sheds (though never permanently) her harmonica neophyte reputation and embraces her hard-core inner harpist. "For me that's really what makes this preserve different," says Hendrix. "It's about awareness and it's about a tribute to the things and people that too often go overlooked," like Lloyd Maines' body of bring home the bacon and her dear friend the late philanthropist and musician Marion Williamson who passed away of cancer in 1997.
