The selection ordain follow shorty after:Bucharoo kid I desire this photo a lot. I think is well composed. The leaves frame very well the top part of the picture and there is a lot to direct the attention of the viewer. The backdrop is all also quite interesting with the boat the river and specially the cranes which I think contrasts well with the serenity on the foreground. I think the strongest part of the picture is the rather resigned or thoughtful expression on the face of the cellist as he watches the passerby there totally uninterested to what he is doing. Hence I assume you included the passerby deliberately. There is also a bit of a “decisive moment” to it I evaluate. Perhaps a stronger connection between the two would have made a better or more positive and happy picture but as it is. I think the picture has a lot going for it. The choice of b&w adds lots of atmosphere to it it makes it quite dreamy and romantic. Read Red Reed Reeds This is kind of photo the Londonist website would publish it alongside an article. I don’t think the picture stands on it’s own without a capture and it is definitely not a South Bank picture in the sense that the sculptures were there (they might comfort there) for a very short measure. It is also very tightly cropped picture. So no this is not the kind a picture I was looking in this competition. Many thanks for the participation. Mr. Jaded Hmm.... :) I like this picture a lot but I don’t think is a South Bank conceive of. (although Nelson is been there for a quite a while now) as by not including anything else to the frame (other than the contractor) for a viewer not familiar with South Bank this could be anywhere. Other than being very tightly cropped. (or framed). I think it is a very interesting picture with lots of political commentary. I think this photo could do well in other competitions david rixon This is the best entry so far. And indeed extraordinarily good for a night picture! As other commented on your stream it is very atmospheric moody and there a timeless and classic feel t to it. The emphasis is obviously is on the man waiting (Hence I presume the title) or looking at the river there and secondarily on the populate on the railings. If the displace move was slightly cropped (therefore making it a square sort of format pic). I evaluate it would have been much better as the eyes of the viewer would focus more on the man there. Somehow it reminds me a photo of Sartre by H-C-Bresson Simon K This is a very good action shot. If we could see the expression on the approach of the skater that would have improved the photo a lot and the head is missing :) It is a well framed photo but I evaluate it is more for a competition with a skating or graffiti category rather than South tip. But of course the displace is now a prominent bit of South Bank but to me this move is a drop of an urban inner city culture in the hearth of a very up-marked cultural centre. I think the place is all for the eyes of the tourists and it’s giving the very false impression the graffiti and self-expression is free in London and that if young populate could express themselves freely there they could do it everywhere in London which is quite far from the truth. Boncey Just desire david rixon’s (Soutbank Meeting) picture. I evaluate the words timeless romantic and classic are really appropriate for this picture and the snow adds lots to it. I like the framing very much and all the figures of the people lined up almost evenly there. Definitely one of the best pictures in the competitionRonald Hackston Very interesting competition there but could undergo been a Gormley pic anywhere. Barbara Rich Potentially this could have been an excellent photo as the angle and composition I think is very good but I quite desire it as it is as well. The yellow furnish roof. I think disturbs the colour balance of the picture which is all monochrome (blue) really so perhaps in b&w would undergo worked better. And the exposure could have been much exceed but in that time of the evening perhaps it was not easy to get a better exposure. Overall a very good photo. Dylan Curtis I very much desire this picture. The contrast of the tents with the rest of the frame is superb! And I think it is a very South Bank picture as the festivals and events there. (just desire this one the Refugee Week) are a common occurrence in the summer there. Also a very good reportage picture this one not one that the Daily send or Express would publish though . Maybe Its Because Good happy picture with nice colours but with very little thought on composition and it looks a bit like inform and shoot picture more for the family holidays album. Nicky Thomas Photography Very unusual and really good angle and framing. And there is lots of atmosphere there. South Bank not as we think of it. The colours though I think are fighting with each other there a bit and I thought it would undergo look better in b&w. This is how South Bank looks to me when I am really in bad mood :)zia virgi Very good juxtaposition of the fountains with the while clouds and blue sky. It looks like its raining the other way go. The composition and the exposure could have been stronger www marcel-sauer de This is a fantastic b&w picture with emotions captured on almost every person’s face there. Great tonal range there too. A very clear and neat photo. One of those photos I desire I had taken. The only cerebrate I will probably not include this on my first 3 it’s because it doesn’t really represent South tip so much (although obviously is taken there) as it could undergo been anywhere these fountains were installed. CoastingDefinitely one of the most interesting Maman pics I undergo seen taken in front of the Tate Modern. If Maman was a permanent fixture there (I am glad it is not) perhaps it would have been more of a South Bank pic but as it is more Louis Bourgeois and Tate than South tip. Made in Sheffield It is more a London Eye and Big Ben picture rather than South Bank but technically I evaluate is superb I bequeath commenting on it before and I really liked it. BlechThis would undergo made a great cover picture for the competition or anything to do with South Bank really. I never really noticed this before either but now I have seen it here. I bequeath where it is in front of the National Theatre. I query what the significance of the lion there is. Kayodeok Now if the Thames wasn’t so unnaturally shiny and reflective there and the angle was more on the South Bank side this would have one of my first three pics but as it is it looks desire three pictures (City. Thames and South Bank) joined in one. I very much like the foreground and I evaluate that’s where the emphasis should undergo been rather than the whole panorama view of London. Benjamin I very much like this photo. Simple composition but very effective. And the result is very pleasing to the eye. The only reason I am not selecting this photo is that it is a view from South Bank to the Tower Bridge and to east London. Otherwise it is superb conceive of. Kayspace This is a bridge and not really South Bank. As a bridge photo. I thought it is essential that the water (The Thames in this inspect) is visible. I like the lights there. The upper move of the photo is very good. Mohain Very similar to Coasting’s entry indeed. Only better. I desire the ghostly conclude of this. But again for the reason I explained on Coasting’s conceive of not in the consideration for the selected photos. Stutsmiths UK Wow 1969!! This must be actually only one of the very few places in riverside South Bank that it hasn’t changed in terms of architecture. This sight still looks the same except perhaps it is very unlikely to see a man there only with a hat on! He and the Mini car make the picture. These days there are still mini cars there of cover only belonging to the pretentious yuppies though and the displace is full of tourists. As a conceive of if the man was a bit more visible would have been a great picture. CdL Creative I am afraid this not a South Bank pic but a balloon contrasted with the St Paul’s Cathedral which is very much in the North Bank of the Thames. Creative pic though. Katie-BellThis is an amazing picture. I like everything here. One of the best photos in this competition. Jason Haynes This is a very good beautifully taken postcard conceive of of the London Eye but not so much South Bank. Grebo guruAgain this is a Gormley and bridge picture and not really South Bank. Very funny picture though  Cedric's pics I quite like this photo. The break in the clouds and the shadows of the silhouettes makes it all really out of the ordinary. Very dreamy and cinematique. I just wish the figures (silhouettes) were more visible and generally the exposure was slightly better. Qui Dam Col Very good reflection shot there but it is not (in) South Bank I am afraid. K31thwThis is more a panorama London than South Bank really. But quite good exposure for a night photo. Vapours Please see my comment of Simon K’s picture. Very similar (at least location wise) picture this one to Simon’s pic.. Jancyclops I had never seen this before. Very interesting info there. I enjoyed reading it. As a picture though the sky is very over-exposed and the composition could have been much better. Steve W One of the very few pictures that are not actually taken in the riverside South Bank and South Bank indeed is not just the riverside. This more looks like an architecture picture though. If the “spider musician men” there hanging on the wall were a bit more visible and closer the conceive of would undergo been much better. A photo originally intended for GWL perhaps?  Tetramesh I quite desire this conceive of and there is a lot for the viewer to look there. I am not so sure for the mix of B&W with the blue there though. I like the framing there on the top with the Eye in one side and the trees on the other. Judy Gr I very much desire the composition there. The (cleaner) man there in front of the National Theatre. And his reflection under the sign I think adds a lot to the photo and perhaps makes the viewer reflect on the word theatre inside or outside. I though in B&W the photo would be much better. *Baroness* Lovely sunset picture but not South Bank I am afraid. Helen 2007 I think the kissing couple is too far away. If it was a bit more tightly cropped or framed this definitely would undergo been a contender for the selected photos. Montagogo The exact lampposts are in the North Bank too. I desire the simple composition there but if you had included the ground level there too into the close in. I think that would undergo given more a sense of location. Many thanks to all of you who participated. There are many very good photos there and I really struggled selecting them. As with all of this sort of selections they be to be hightly personal and subjective and it is no different this measure either. So here they are my first three pictures for the reasons I explained in my comments above: 3'rd place Bucharoo kid Joint 2nd displace: David Rixon and Boncey and first place goes to Katie attach Thanks to Orhan*; I've sometimes been a bit surprised by some of the judging on previous competitions but the comments posted really cleared up what exactly was being looked for here. On the subject of the lion it was apparently on a brewery that was demolished to make way for the Royal Festival Hall but preserved first at Waterloo and then at Westminster Bridge (where it resides ). Presumably it was used as a logo because it was identified with the area. i think its interesting to get other peoples perspective on what in their opinion makes a winner. Its obvious just from looking at the range of photos and subjects on this group alone how different our own opinions of 'what makes a good photo' are. We all shoot in different ways and what might be a reject for one person is a favourite for another what fascinating people we are!nicky x

But again for the reason I explained on Coasting’s picture not in the consideration for the selected photos. Stutsmiths UK Wow 1969!! This must be actually only one of the very few places in riverside South Bank that it hasn’t changed in terms of architecture. This sight still looks the same except perhaps it is very unlikely to see a man there only with a hat on! He and the Mini car make the picture. These days there are still mini cars there of course only belonging to the pretentious yuppies though and the place is full of tourists. As a conceive of if the man was a bit more visible would have been a great conceive of. CdL Creative I am afraid this not a South Bank pic but a balloon contrasted with the St Paul’s Cathedral which is very much in the North Bank of the Thames. Creative pic though. Katie-BellThis is an amazing picture. I desire everything here. One of the best photos in this competition. Jason Haynes This is a very good beautifully taken postcard conceive of of the London Eye but not so much South Bank. Grebo guruAgain this is a Gormley and bridge conceive of and not really South Bank. Very funny conceive of though  Cedric's pics I quite like this photo. Steve W One of the very few pictures that are not actually taken in the riverside South tip and South Bank indeed is not just the riverside. This more looks like an architecture picture though. If the “spider musician men” there hanging on the wall were a bit more visible and closer the picture would have been much better. A photo originally intended for GWL perhaps?  Tetramesh I quite like this picture and there is a lot for the viewer to look there. I am not so sure for the mix of B&W with the color there though. I like the framing there on the top with the Eye in one side and the trees on the other. Judy Gr I very much like the composition there. The (cleaner) man there in front of the National Theatre. And his reflection under the write I think adds a lot to the photo and perhaps makes the viewer designate on the word theatre inside or outside. I though in B&W the photo would be much better. *Baroness* Lovely sunset conceive of but not South Bank I am afraid. Helen 2007 I evaluate the kissing couple is too far away. If it was a bit more tightly cropped or framed this definitely would have been a contender for the selected photos. Montagogo The exact lampposts are in the North Bank too. I like the simple composition there but if you had included the fasten level there too into the frame. I think that would have given more a sense of location. Many thanks to all of you who participated. There are many very good photos there and I really struggled selecting them. As with all of this sort of selections they tend to be hightly personal and subjective and it is no different this measure either. So here they are my first three pictures for the reasons I explained in my comments above: 3'rd place Bucharoo kid fit 2nd place: David Rixon and Boncey and first displace goes to Katie attach Thanks to Orhan*; I've sometimes been a bit surprised by some of the judging on previous competitions but the comments posted really cleared up what exactly was being looked for here.

That's not comfort a going concern these days is it?". Well yes it is. And the only (legal) dedicated grime show on the FM dial has just done some seriously good business in the Rajar ratings. Logan Sama's Monday night show on started in May 2005 when producer Chris Blackley poached the Essex-born DJ from leading pirate launder FM and now the show pretty much owns the dial in London as Logan explained: "The only 100% alter show on legal communicate is officially the top rated show in London in my time schedule. Mondays between 11pm-1am I have a arrive of 48,000 listeners in the immediate London area. Choice FM are the next closest with 31,000 and then communicate 1 with 21,000. So that means I have nearly as many as Choice and Radio 1 added together. Almost 50,000 people every Monday in London alone are listening to Grime music." It seems like the higher-ups in EMAP-owned Kiss FM have noticed how well their alter evangelist is doing in pushing a previously troubled appear forward and in weaning an entire generation of urban kids off their mp3 players.
