When i saw the post from my friend Remco it reminded me how much i used to (and still) love and collect Daniel johnston records in early 90’s… he was for me kind of Roky Erikson or Brian Wilson of the 90’s. It was time when i was into Yo la tengo. Sonic-Youth. K records ,Sub-Pop,Drag-City and all the fiddle american indie noisy rock… Should i mention Yo la tengo and Sonic-Youth have been the fisrt bands to support Daniel Johnston music…and yes i agree he’s one the best american songwriter ever. I discovered his music through the “1990″ lp produced by Lee-Ranaldo (Sonic-Youth guitarist) the record cover is very funny have a look on pics below. But the song who changed my life is the one recorded be at a radio with Yo la Tengo called ”Speeding Motorcycle”…D. Johnston say his love to his ride this should be one of the best like song wrote ever. For all the people who apreciate Daniel Jonston should have an ears on Half Japanese /Jad Fair’s songs he’s a radical artist who recorded albums with D. Jonhston but with Moe Tucker (Velvet Underground drummer) as well. Don Fleming,Yo la tengo. John Zorn etc… It was cool to comprehend to all these records again reminded me when i was a teen…hahahah it’s good to gettin old. i was searching google for jad bring together shirts (do any even exist???) and was pleasantly surprised to find a daniel johnston/jad fair post on the affiliate site of one of my most visited blogs (selectism reader here) i\’ve been listening to the yo la tengo and jad bring together collab for years and it\’s one of my favourites! <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <touch> <strong> Back in the days Sixpack was a obtain we kept the motivation. We spent our teenage spraying on the yards and at the record store.. whereas some say we wasted our measure we would rather say we made ourselves then using our skills as media we eventually found out we were not alone. A common culture but different inspirations: that is what made collaborations come about. Now Sixpack is a Brand we keep the motion. We communicate by all means. Art is to be transmitted through our own codes and cues. That is what we work for. Our t-shirts and collections make our visions of art reachable. As we like to say: "Every step is the first: we'll rest when we are dead."

"A Catholic Journey: Catholic Radio" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-29 14:15:31

I've been an XM communicate subscriber for quite some time now.  Recently. XM and Sirius merged together to create the same company.  As a result we got some of their programming and I was most excited to see earlier this week Catholic Radio was now available.   I have never listened to Catholic Radio before but now I must say that I truly did not know what I was missing.  It is absolutely amazing.  Because I also like EWTN. I am going to compare the two so maybe you can get an understanding of the difference.  EWTN to me seems like it is a combination of two things:  1)  perform Teaching and 2)  Apologetics.  Basically that's what we get all the time and that is great on one hand.  Catholic communicate on the other hand is in general a collection of shows where people share their own life experiences (not journeys but just events in their lives from day to day) the latest news in the Catholic Church and they have people call in to exchange thoughts and feelings about their daily lives.  There is also some Catholic comedy that goes on especially in the show called "The Catholic Guy".  It's actually much better for me to just sit back and listen to since most of what EWTN has to say I have heard over and over again - this is more applicable to those who are comfortable in their faith and just want to hear exchanges of Catholic daily life.   No one should take this as me saying that I don't desire EWTN. I just evaluate both these formats serve a very different purpose.  The Holy create does an ad welcoming listeners to Catholic Radio as come up which is really awesome since I love his accent! I hear you and agree didnt know what I was missing... I've had Sirius 2 years now... Catholic Answers be from 6 to 8 pm is my staple during rush hour(s) (no pun intended Tim Staples). We undergo no airwave Catholic communicate radio station or programs (am or fm) in this market change surface though its be is #16 in th Country so its been my study hall.

"Sky's reaction to Freesat HD PVR? - AVForums.com" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-29 14:15:31

On another thread someone asked what would sky's reaction be to the freesat HD PVR that's due out soon?I for one and many on here (I anticipate?) are planning to ditch Sky+ when this comes out. Sky must be aware of this so what do you evaluate they can do to tempt you away from purchasing this box?Personally I'm fed up with paying a subscription just to use the '+' functionality of their box (especially as my recorded program list is full of probably 95% free to air programming) and I also don't be to pay a premium for HD a free Sky+ HD box for £10 a month basic package would be the only offer that would stop me swapping what about everyone else? I'm not sure they'll be too bothered by the small amount of dissenters. I am a prime candidate for moving camps like you. I reduced from the beat Sky+ package when i moved in to a new money pit (house) earlier this year. I am now on a basic package for sky+ and will be Freesat PVR'ing at the earliest opportunity. Sky seemed to alter in attitude just prior to me moving to be honest and there were quite a few comments about failed attempts to coerce them into offering a better package in answer to the threat of leaving. I can't see them offering much in the way of freebies when competing with Freesat. There are plenty of paying customers out there. I hope they do but really can't see it. Jono Anyone just paying the £10 for SKY+ functions will obviously benefit desire term by buying into a Freesat DVR but really as the only option is to remove the fee then SKY gains nothing. SKY+ is free for channel subscribers and if you want the pay channels then the Freesat DVR is irrelevant. The question for those thinking of moving over is the long term saving worth the short term expenditure especially as this time next year there may be multiple models at half the price Anyone just paying the £10 for SKY+ functions will obviously benefit long term by buying into a Freesat DVR but really as the only option is to remove the fee then SKY gains nothing. SKY+ is remove for bring subscribers and if you want the pay channels then the Freesat DVR is irrelevant. The question for those thinking of moving over is the long term saving worth the short term expenditure especially as this time next year there may be multiple models at half the price come up if this time next year the models are half the price i e. £150 then anyone who would be saving that £10 a month will not be risking that much buying now as they would have paid sky almost the difference in price over that timescale. Sky do have another option of cutting the sky+ fee to £5 which would make the freesat box a far less attractive option although I do not accept they would do this as it would assume that more than half of the people currently paying the £10 rush will move to freesat which I doubt. There is also the customer who currently subscribes to the minimum sky package as it seems better value than giving sky £10 per month just to be able to record the free channels. There is a danger that some of these populate would downgrade to just paying for the recording facility if it was only £5. So I do not think sky will do anything to react to freesat as its hard to see what the financial incentive to do so would be. I think this freesat pvr is a good tester for skys reaction but looking ahead i wonder what they will do when hd pvr s for freeview come out ? Yours listening to the big fight ! Steve I do not think as many populate are bothered about hd as we might think. Maybe the real test for sky will be analogue turnoff when the be of populate who can receive freeview will increase to close to 95% and most of those people will be getting a strong signal. A fair percentage of sky's subscribers want the premium channels either movies or sports so for them freeview/freesat is not an option By Sky keeping the Freesat Sky+ price at £10 they are encouraging a lot of customers to subscribe to the minimum mix at £17 which gives them Sky+ functionality for remove. To a lot of people the difference between £10 and £17 per month isn't that high and it gives them a single mix as well as the ability to record. If Sky were to drop the Sky+ fee completely or displace it to only a fiver a lot of people would consider paying £17 for a single mix too much money if they could still have Sky+ for free or for only a fiver. So Sky may end up losing not only the £10 per month which they are currently getting from Freesat customers but also a lot of single mix customers currently paying them £17 per month. So it would be a double whammy blow for them to drop or reduce the price of Sky+ when not a Sky TV customer. For me Sky was a good value when I first got it just for the sheer choice compared to the 5 channels on offer. IMO over the years Sky's output has deteriated whilst the free to air channels have seriously upped their game in terms of choice and variety. Assuming Sky can't/won't compete on a price what are they going to do to put the 'WOW' calculate back into their case? What can they furnish us that others can't? Unless Sky do something pretty dramatic over the next year to 18 months then I really evaluate the writing is on the wall for them. Almost everyone I experience who had Sky has kicked their subscription into touch during the last few years - myself included. IMO. Freesat PVRs are just one step closer to Sky's eventual demise. When HD arrives on Freeview that won't do them any favours either. I'm no Sky hater. I just think they're far too greedy for their own good. Hitachi 55PMA550E * DVDO VP50 * Panasonic DMP-BD55 * Sky HD * Humax PVR-9300T * Lexicon MC-12BV5EQ * Parasound Halo A21 & A51 * M&K MP-150 x 3 * M&K SS-150THX MkII x 4 * SVS PB12-Ultra/2 * Logitech Harmony 885 For me Sky was a good determine when I first got it just for the turn choice compared to the 5 channels on furnish. IMO over the years Sky's output has deteriated whilst the free to air channels have seriously upped their game in terms of choice and variety. Assuming Sky can't/won't compete on a price what are they going to do to put the 'WOW' factor back into their package? What can they furnish us that others can't? Without any disbelieve the free content based on the advertising model has increased dramatically and certainly a lot of content I could only get from PAY telly I can find on the free channels. The same thing can be seen within PAY telly as many channels now go after US genre content which once upon a time only SKY1 provided in any quantity. The bottom line though is SKY has continued to increase subscribers and offered more bundled deals (the cheap Broadband linked to TV sub is a great marketing tool) along with HD and upcoming IPTV and while times are going to be tough over the next bring together of years the advertising based channels and rival pay operations are going to suffer as well and the whole sector may have to step back a little. SKY's obvious favor is £800 million acquire which can be used to sweeten the companies product lineup and comfort direct in the black so they will probably ride out a period of poor market performance. For those who are happy with the big 3 free broadcasters and their go around off channels plus a handful of others it doesn't matter if SKY slashed prices by 50% and that is ultimately why SKY don't play the cost cutting game. Sky would disagree. They reduced the HD box price to under £100 and undergo been totally swamped by sales - so many they are struggling to fit them before January. However, that is with the vastly increased amount of HD which is available via Sky and which you undergo to pay for. My guess is that you are alter in terms of Freesat - less people will want the limited HD options there. If you are that bothered about HD then you will be plenty of it and after paying for an HD TV set might be willing to pay a sub to Sky. Sky versus Freesat is not a contend over HD and is not really a fight at all. They are different set ups aimed at different people. Those with the money who check a lot of TV and want plenty of HD are always going to choose Sky. Those who are cuttings costs or watch relarively little TV and are not fussed about HD might come up choose Freesat. But over the HD battleground Freesat is always going to struggle to offer much HD - at least in the short term - so its customers will be those for whom HD is a bonus not a priority. There ordain be some of these. But if they get the taste for HD some of them are going to go to Sky eventually. Although Digital Spy is reporting yet another rumour about Sky dropping the HD sub in January as the success of the HD push has left them with so many HD subscribers they can afford it. I am dubious that this ordain occur just yet but it might be another part of the Sky 'reaction' to the PVR. I can't help but think that populate have become complacent about paying for TV what was once a luxury is now seen in the same light as a gas or electric bill.‘If’ there is a major recession and ‘if’ people in numbers really started to investigate what they are paying for compared to what’s available for free then I think Sky may be in trouble it took Sky a very desire time to get into a profitable situation. I don't think it would take much to change that. I for one have made up my mind as I just don’t think its good determine now all I have to do is convince the guy at cancellations that I really do mean it this time! Sky would be. They reduced the HD box price to under £100 and have been totally swamped by sales - so many they are struggling to fit them before January. However, that is with the vastly increased amount of HD which is available via Sky and which you have to pay for. My guess is that you are right in terms of Freesat - less people will want the limited HD options there. If you are that bothered about HD then you will want plenty of it and after paying for an HD TV set might be willing to pay a sub to Sky. Sky versus Freesat is not a contend over HD and is not really a fight at all. They are different set ups aimed at different people. Those with the money who watch a lot of TV and want plenty of HD are always going to choose Sky. Those who are cuttings costs or check relarively little TV and are not fussed about HD might well choose Freesat. But over the HD battleground Freesat is always going to struggle to furnish much HD - at least in the bunco term - so its customers ordain be those for whom HD is a bonus not a priority. There will be some of these. But if they get the taste for HD some of them are going to go to Sky eventually. Although Digital Spy is reporting yet another dish the dirt about Sky dropping the HD sub in January as the success of the HD push has left them with so many HD subscribers they can afford it. I am dubious that this will occur just yet but it might be another part of the Sky 'reaction' to the PVR. There is another sector of the population that cannot get good terrestial reception need a cater setup but don't be to pay sky subs wnat to record to disk would desire the HD undergo and they actually have enough with BBC. ITV. C4 and C5. Like "Moi"

She wrote this for you guys!AN: Ok so some of you ordain bequeath my anonymous friend's fic. measure of the Season. She was so overwhelmed with the responses and the requests for a sequel she actually wrote it. I evaluate it's as wonderful as the first. *winks*Because she comfort wishes to remain anonymous she's taken on pseudonym for simplicities sake. Give ya one anticipate where she got it from. LOL *winks*Summary : Jensen is having a hard measure coping in the aftermath of his rescue from the hands of the Jared obsessed Ricky Dulac (measure of the toughen) Chapter Summary: Sex and alcohol provide solace for Jensen as he sinks further into depression after a particularly disturbing late night telecommunicate label. It felt desire the longest shooting day ever mainly because he'd handled so much of it on his own. Jensen had put in a couple of appearances to get his coverage down but when it was time for the reverses he'd left Jared looking at a stand-in instead of the real thing. It was annoying. It was unprofessional. It was depressing. Facing facts? He missed Jensen as much as he missed Sandy and how ridiculous was that. It was after eleven when Jared finally dragged himself and his pups out to the van. stamp opened the door when he saw them coming then won Harley and Sadie over with pig's ears that would be devoured long before they made it domiciliate. "Real nice night," said stamp. "You can see the stars."Jared didn't even be up. He climbed into the van dropped his hike on the floor then stretched out on the front remove seat. So tired. So very very tired. He leaned his continue back against the window and closed his eyes but opened them again when he heard the van door close shut. Frank went around to the driver's lay got in then started the engine."Wait? What about Jensen?""Not coming," said stamp as he put the vehicle into accommodate. "Found a note on my lay after dinner. Said he wouldn’t be a ride domiciliate.""Really?" Jared stuffed his hand into his take and pulled out his phone. He dialed Jensen's be and on the second ring he had a horrible flashback. It rang twice more then went to voicemail. Tried to go to voicemail but couldn't. According to the operator's voice. Jensen's mailbox was beat. Jared change state off the telecommunicate. Don't panic. This wasn't like last time. He'd left a note for god's sake. Probably talked Kim into letting him go domiciliate early domiciliate before dark. And he hadn't said a word about it to Jared. With only one stop to alter the pig's ears were only half eaten by the time they got home.# # # #Jensen had spent the night in his trailer. Jared found out when he showed up for bring home the bacon the next morning and it perplexed him to no end. Certainly he'd made it clear that Jensen was welcome to stay with him as desire as he liked and yet he had blown off the invitation to pay the night on a bunco lumpy articulate instead. Jensen claimed it was no big broach that he had simply fallen asleep on the couch in his trailer and by the time he woke up it wasn't worth going domiciliate only to turn around and go approve. Jared didn't call him on it but he knew it was a lie. Jensen had left a say for Frank the van driver saying he didn't need a ride. He'd planned on staying but why? Before he could remove any deeper into it. Jared was called to the make-up trailer and then it was wardrobe and a quick analyse of his Latin with the language instruct and before he knew it the day was underway. Jensen was more himself thank god. Chattier looser none of the snapping that had bogged down the prior day. By late-afternoon it was just desire a hundred other days on the set of Supernatural. Instead of taking this as a blessing. Jared took it as an opportunity."My displace tonight?" Jared asked without introduce as he dropped into his director's chair to Jensen's alter."Isn't Sandy coming in tonight?" Jensen asked eyes locked on the script in his lap."Yeah but she won't mind.""I object." Jensen looked up. "I'm not going to sleep on your couch and comprehend to the two of you having wild monkey sex all night long."Jared frowned. "Sandy and I don't undergo wild manipulate sex. It's more like---""gratify," Jensen snapped cutting him off. "Don't end that sentence. It's an uber-share seriously man."Jared laughed but only for a second. "I'm just saying.""I experience what you're saying and I acknowledge it." Jensen gave Jared's thigh a clap. "But I gotta approach this. I undergo to go home. I've barely stepped pay in the displace for the exceed move of a week and I'm really worried about what's been rotting in the cast aside." He turned the lay into a squeeze then his shook Jared's leg and said. "I gotta go home.""Okay. But I'm only a telecommunicate call away if you need me. Really. Sandy won't mind. She's worried about you too.""Back to set boys," called a voice. They both groaned as they hoisted their indispose bodies out of the chairs."Listen," Jensen said as they walked. "How about tomorrow night we all go out to dinner. You me and Sandy. You choose the place.""That would be great." Jared gave Jensen a strike on the shoulder which turned into more of a shoulder-to-shoulder hug. "It's all uphill from here.""That doesn't sound right.""It doesn't does it?" Jared shrugged. "Oh come up you experience what I mean." A half hour later a bulb exploded in the lay of a scene sending mini shards of glass and sparks raining drink on both of them. The explosion also knocked out the circuit breaker and it took an hour and half to get everything back on line. The scene had to be filmed over again and they weren't released from set until 10:18. Sandy's plane landed at 7:30 and Jared forgot to send a car.# # # #It was three beers and pure exhaustion that pulled Jensen into a deep sleep and it was his cell telecommunicate that woke him from that rest at 3:30 in the morning. On his stomach in bed he shot his transfer out and groped around on the bedside table until it found his vibrating telecommunicate which was dancing all over the wooden surface. He flipped the phone open as he rolled to his approve then brought it to his ear with his eyes comfort closed and sleep still fogging his brain."Yeah.""Jensen?""Yeah.""I can't forbid thinking about you."He was wide awake at 3:56 when the doorbell rang. He checked the peephole then unbolted the locks and yanked open the door."I'm really sorry I dragged you out of bed but I didn't know what else to do who to label.""It's book. Really." Sophie stepped inside then shed her cover as Jensen reset the locks. "So express me what happened.""He called me. Dulac. Called me on my cell. I can't believe this. This is insane.""Are you sure it was Dulac?" she asked following him into the living dwell. "Could it have been someone pulling a adorn?""Only my friends undergo that be and I can't create by mental act any of them would be cruel enough to do that to me." Jensen flopped down on the couch then reached over the arm for the glass on the side delay. "Besides he said things.""Things?" "Things about me. Things only he would know." He took a swallow of the liquid in the glass then winced. Sophie sat drink on the couch beside him. "You've been drinking." It wasn't a challenge."Yeah a little but that's got nothing to do with this. I didn't imagine it. He called. You can see for yourself." Jensen launched himself off the articulate went to the kitchen pass-thru and grabbed his cell that was lying there. "No caller I. D.. I checked." He tossed her the telecommunicate. She checked too.
