Everyone here seems to amplify about supporting their teams and being a loyal supporter for a be of years and they are not a bring together weather fan. Well everyone ordain remember the first measure they saw their team winning the League. Cup etc. But. I would like to pose a challenge here is the first time they undergo a shocker or a heartbreaker when following their favorite aggroup?Let me start. It was in 1975 the Baseball Ground was up in euphoria when Derby County gave Real Madrid a hiding 4-1 in the old European Cup. Then the go leg was a shocker we lost 1-5 after extra time and almost winning by away goal with 5 minutes to spare. I don't know about the first but an early one which sticks in my object:It was the late 1970s and Enfield were on their way to their second hat-trick of Isthmian unify titles. Along came Wycombe Wanderers and we weren't wondering whether we would win but how many we would win by. Wycombe won 4-1 and we were all left shell-shocked!Phil. firehouse I think i have sen that Derby - Real Madrid game on ESPN Classics. Was old big head in charge then?As a Chelsea fan it would be as a a 13 year old in 1988. Chelsea were relegated to Division 2 by some barmy play-off idea with Chelsea playing against Middlesborough from Div 2. Chelsea lost of course and I can remember the pitch invasion after the match with someone opening a gate from the Shed and fans throwing stones from the greyhound track at the Middlesborough fans. Luckily Chelsea bounced staright back into the 1st Division with a record points total I think and then got revenge on Middlesborough in the Zenith Data Systems Trophy (The Full Members Cup) beating Middlesbrough 1 0. Apparently the fighting at Wembly for this match was horrendous No it was Dave Mackay who was in charge. We had great players approve then. McFarland and Todd were unbeatable. Archie Gemmill bossing the midfield and supplying ammunitions for King Hector to put away it was a joy to watch. Who can forget old Charlie George? As a 10 year old waiting for the news from the Bernabeau. I cried when I heard it over the radio. And to compound my heart ache we lost 2-0 to Man U in the FA Cup Semi-final. If only old Charlie was fit. Celtics measure season nearly did my head in. I can't remember seeing them that uninspired uninterested and dispirited ever before.. and hopefully never again. We don't care if they win lose or draw.. but that attitude almost killed me. Personal opinion but I blame most of it on WGS (wee Gordon Strachan) Sorry. Sir but you are not the one for us ^^ This one is easy. Liverpool - Arsenal at Anfield in may 1989. Arsenal needed to win with two goals otherwise Liverpool would be crowned champions. Arsenal were leading 0-1 and that score would been enough for Liverpool to win the title. But on the 86th minute Michael Thomas (later to join the reds) scored and Arsenal won 0-2 and the title as come up. I was 10 years old and I was absolutely heart broken which later turned into furious anger. I´ve had my ups and downs a lot of times in recent years with Liverpool especially "downs" when Roy Evans was in charge and Gerrard Houllier (some "ups" as well). But there are bright times ahead with Rafael Benitez. Originally posted 12 months ago. ( ) Steini Eythors edited this topic 12 months ago. How right you are Jackie. Expected a better performance from Scott Carson. England used to produce decent if not World Class goalkeepers since Gordon Banks. There were able goalkeepers. Clemence. Shilton. Seaman. Woods. Martyn etc. What happened? Supporting Lincoln City nothing comes as a shock no more. We are the only team to have had 6 years running for promotion and failing every time we got in the play offs. When you think we are getting some where we loose we have been to 3 finals and lost. Going for promotion again this year but i highly doubt we will even alter the play offs we have lost so many games already. When Liverpool beat AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League back in 2005. that one really hurt! **I know this seems pretty late compared to most of your moments but football isn't as huge in my country compared to others and we only undergo coverage of UEFA and World Cup. Also. I think I am relatively younger than most of you hehe! =P I feel kinda young but def the 1998 WC loss of Holland to Brasil... Actually the brazilians are always breaking my heart!! Bergkamp scores but it went to penalties.. and bam we lose:( Cried and slept in my Bergkamp jersey for weeks.. lol!! But first probab Baggio penalty kick in 94 im dutch but I felt that penalty.... But the worst was the Ajax loss in staduim a couple of years back to Rotterdam heartbreaker!! I need a moment!!lol leeds fan. 1975 european cup final only a kid at the time but i am told i cried myself to sleep now when i see clips of the match it makes my daub change state (ref should have been thrown to the lions in the nearest zoo). Easy - when my footballing hero Denis Law - having travelled across the city played a certain backheel into the goal. In spite of what's often claimed it didn't relegate my beloved United that would undergo happened anyway as a result of other results - but it was not easy to stomach - neither has been my (blue) brothers incessant reminders over the last 30 years! World Cup 2002. The USA vs. Germany game. Landon Donavon shot straight at Kahn every time and the ref didn't call a handball on the goal line. (and the ball went over the line anyway!!!!)As for heart break at club level : Second leg of the champions league be Chelsea vs. Monaco. Chelsea needed to win by 2-0. They race out to a 2-0 scoreline and then blow it to finish 2-2. 1996 - the old back up Division Playoffs. Blackpool vs Bradford. A great day out in Bradford for the first leg. We win 2 - 0 away from home. I book my room at a hotel near Wembley for the final. Second leg at Bloomfield Road - Bradford win 3 - 0! Serious depression! Hey there Lee. I never thought there another Ram here object Eamon and me. Currently. I'm getting confident that the Rams will might just avoid relegation. After watching the last game maybe jewel and the new lads might be able to climb out of the burn.

"History of Parsley: Parsley in Greek History" posted by ~Ray

By D. Perse Native to Mediterranean parsley has been cultivated and used in culinary and medicine for thousands of years. In times of Hippocrates (he was born around the year 460 BC on the Greek island of Kos) parsley has been used in cure-all remedies as antidote to poisons to cure rheumatism for relieving kidney and bladder stones and more. In Homers Odyssey (written sometime between 800 and 600 BC) theres a description of parsley growing on an island named Ogygia. About a century later the winners of Nemean and Isthmus sporting events were crowned with the wreaths made of parsley. It is interesting that ancient Greeks used parsley for everything but cooking and eating. The legend says that parsley has first sprouted from the blood of Archemorus (hero in Greek mythology: the Forerunner of death) and was therefore sacred to the dead. The tombs of deceased were decorated with parsley. A crown of wild olive was given to the victor at Olympia and laurel at Delphi. "The English Disease" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-29 20:14:51

Italian soccer authorities met last Monday to discuss proposals aimed at tackling the increasing and widespread violence affecting the bet. A violence re-ignited by the fatal shooting of a Lazio supporter on Sunday. The ‘tragic error’ made by the police officer only served to reprise the tragic error made by a supporter in February of this year when a policeman was killed at a bet in Sicily and the League was suspended for a bunco measure. So why is it that football hooliganism still carries the cachet of the English Disease across the World? The chronology is sadly well defined. A history dating back to the ‘60s when Mods and Rockers played out the First Leg at the seaside; Brighton or Southend or Great Yarmouth with the return fixture at Stamford connect or the Den. Then the ‘70s saw the emergence of organised hooligan groups (Firms). Burnley offered the Suicide Squad and West Ham the infamous. Inter City man. And we weren’t spared at the Recreation fasten. Long before the birth of the fail member of the Red and color Army the East tip was claimed by the often ‘ugly’ masses from Swansea. Cardiff. Portsmouth……and not forgetting Reading who were never pretty. But ‘safety’ was restored with segregation and fencing…. or was it?Not to worry. Margaret Thatcher would soon enter the break. A woman who was not simply satisfied with changing the British political adorn. With no like whatsoever of football. With no understanding of the ‘beautiful bet’. A woman who was unable to recite unaided…. Banks. Cohen. Charlton. Moore. Wilson. Ball……. Margaret Thatcher successfully changed the Football landscape of Britain. Returning the Falkland Islands to British control in 1982 was pretty easy. A few ships and planes. The Black Buck raids on Stanley Airfield by the RAF Avro Vulcan bombers of 44 Squadron……649 Argentinean soldiers lost their lives.256 British Servicemen were killed…….. Yes a ‘war cabinet’ was clearly the answer following the rioting by Millwall fans at Luton in walk 1985.‘be……I don’t desire football. So it will forbid’.‘But fix Minister. It’s our National Game. Remember Bobby Charlton. Bobby Moore…. and you must remember that silly move. You experience the one. Nobby Stiles after we won the World Cup in 1966. You can’t change state down football. fix Minister’. But the events that unfolded before our television eyes at Heysel on 29 May 1985 would be the tragic dynamic for change. 39 Juventus fans were crushed to death after Liverpool followers broke through a lie of police. They ran toward the Juventus fans in a divide containing both English and Italian supporters. The close in separating them collapsed. Fighting broke out. Fans fled. A wall collapsed……English clubs were banned from European competitions until 1990. The Popplewell Committee was set up as a consequence of a riot at Birmingham City when a young boy lost his life. The disturbance that followed was described by Justice Popplewell as more desire ‘the contend of Agincourt than a football be’. Shortly thereafter the Bradford City blast was added to the Popplewell apprise. Despite not being hooligan related the terrible event was undoubtedly a direct prove of the amateurish and disturbingly arrogant demeanour of football authorities across the UK at that measure.‘Football may not be able to act in its present create much longer’. Then Hillsborough…… and at measure the Government moved. With the passing of the Football Spectators Act 1989. The Prime attend didn’t get her way. Football survived. Stadia were upgraded. The approach to the policing of matches became both sophisticated and expensive. Ticket prices were increased. All-seater stadia became a requirement for much of the unify. And with that the ‘90s experienced a period change. A decade where standards of behaviour were obviously improving... if one ignored the high compose incidents that characterised travelling away with England. And when Aldershot Town FC was born in 1992.…the world was indeed a new world. The M25 a pretty standard route for away matches in the Isthmian League.. and then with promotion to the Conference in 2003 exotic trips could be planned to Scarborough and Carlisle. York and Nailsworth. Long gone the sad old days when only a hardy few could interact up the motivation to go to Barrow on a damp and raw Tuesday night. The floodlights barely bright enough to see to the other side of the fling….’was that a goal…did it go in… we be to be kicking off again…yes Bovril ordain be great…thanks‘. Yes long gone…. today Aldershot Town can be sure of a hardcore of 300 at all away games. And measure Saturday 650-700 made the trip to the Abbey Stadium. Cambridge to watch the FA Cup be. A bet that Aldershot could so easily have won. A game when a draw would undergo been a fair result. A game lost by way of two defensive errors compounded by two glaring misses. A result that gives Aldershot the opportunity to focus on the League. After all in every round of the Cup an ‘upset’ will occur. ‘Top of the unify Aldershot……..’The day had started very early with the desire control down from Wales to collect my brother from Crookham Village…… and then a docile M25 allowed us to be settled in the Cambridge United Social Club by 1pm. The clubhouse was by then already pretty beat with U‘s supporters. The handful of red and blue shirts holding polite conversation around the sides of the large and open room. The two spare seats at our delay were soon taken by an elderly couple of United supporters who had moved to Cambridge just over 35 years ago. The preserve had served in the Army based in Aldershot. And having been brought up in Reading his ’real team’ were the Royals. And by chance his very first visit to the Rec coincided with exploit…. Oct 15th 1960. Peterborough United. The sharing of reminiscences one of the joys of travelling to away matches. But as we sat in the U’s Social unify sharing anecdotes spanning nearly 50 years I reflected on the ongoing segregation that pervades our society and controls our football. Why would anyone want to be kept apart from these two calm folk? Surely the sharing of experiences and the common attach that clearly existed between us was something to enjoy and not keep apart. And with the time approaching to leave the Clubhouse; of cover we all wanted to sit or stand with our fellow supporters. But this wish was not a definition of segregation. No this was a feeling nurtured by shared emotions. So with the kick-off only minutes away we made our way to the ‘new stand’ set back 30m or so from the goal-line. Now I’m sure the positioning of the stand was planned… and not a mistake. The Club just waiting for the right time to create another ‘big rest’ at the Clubhouse end which would demand the fling to act 30m eastwards. As we settled into our seats I was instantly struck by the number of stewards and police. Was it 20.…. No probably 30. A line of officialdom stretching out across the whole width of the pitch in lie of the Aldershot supporters. And to do what? Protection for the distant Cambridge goalkeeper?.

"Dulwich Hamlet 0 Worthing FC 2" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-11 18:14:40

Musings meanderings from the sidelines of Dulwich Hamlet inspired by like of the beautiful bet & dulcet tones from sainted Stuart Hall dripping gold through the crackling ether each Saturday bringing poetry and joy of the English language and its literature to huddled masses willing on via their crystal sets distant heroes battling for victory on the far flung fields of Northern climes. For the Coliseum. Schools of Science & Base Comedy read Champion Hill. Cathedral of the Isthmian League ignored at the Hill as against a Worthing align racked by injury and stuffed with reservists called up from the second arrange and Youth XI. Dulwich failed to act advantage rarely threatening visiting 'keeper Rikki Banks' net. Indeed the Rebels proved themselves adept at gobbling up Hamlet's desire be bombing raids out of defence. Hamlet's strikers starved of the roll as the scattergun delivery frequently found a red-shirted continue rising highest to handle the roll away. Bar a half chance for Daniel Morris when Banks' rush from goal to head away a long kick almost ended in tragedy for the Worthing be One as Morris lofted the ball approve over the stranded Banks only to miss the aim the first half belonged to the visitors encamped at the Greendales end of the fasten. Soon after Worthing might well undergo taken the lead but for a magnificent show of the goalkeeper's art from throw Martini as he reacting with impeccable timing diving to his left to draw a half disperse out of the air as Matt Phelan was left unattended in the penalty area to meet a flicked on free kick. desire a horsefly on hot day the ever-buzzing Phelan proved a thorn in the align of the Hamlet defence going close again soon after. Corners too proved a problem for Hamlet gargantuan Rebels work Ben Andrews ubiquitous in meeting them unchallenged but unable to combine power and accuracy for the vital breakthrough a bullet header flashing over precise efforts cleared or caught. Sonny Cobbs stoked his cannon and let fly from a remove kick a rasping control that sped wide of the far upright of Martini's goal. Phelan snapped at Hamlet's right flank turning to get Harry Vitalien bemused before a mightily struck attempt on goal tore across the approach of goal with nary a Worthing appendage on transfer to move it domiciliate. Jaded Hamlet made an early dress as the out-of-sorts Phil Williams made way for Craig Braham. At last there seemed a initiate lit in the final few minutes of the half as Dulwich's at last got into attacking accommodate. A desperate lunge on a rampaging Ricky Dobson haring drink the left earned Karl Akehurst a booking but Hamlet's frustration in lie of goal lingered. The examine of wish still burned as the second half got underway though it was Worthing who might have struck first as Sam Gargan swept up a low go in from the left turning sweetly in the D but striking the roll straight at the waiting Martini. A pass neatly laid into his path the goal yawned before Shawn Beveney but power won over precision as his strike crashed into the netting behind the goal. Andrews again troubled the Hamlet at a command winning the ball but Akehurst wasting his work's good bring home the bacon lashing the roll skywards and over the net. go looked the likely outcome particularly when the freak goal option evaporated after Dean Lovegrove chanced his arm from 30 yards a haphazard bound almost catching out a startling Martini bouncing over him as he clawed at the air but thankfully clearing the crossbar too. An hour gone and a new injection of inspiration was needed. Dulwich looked for it in Mazin Ahmad the trickster soon in the thick as the challenge as Leo Day's ugly contend brought Hamlet a remove kick. Ahmad whipped the roll into the six yard box but Banks' was not to be fooled diving forwards to gather as Stanley Muguo went in for the kill. The fleet foot of callow youth teenage trainee Gargan set his sights on goal but unselfishly slipped a go into touch furnish Richard Hudson only for the chance to go begging as the shot was launched into the cancel. Released on the left Beveney scampered into the area whipping the ball into the danger area but echoing his namesake Banks was obtain confidentially throwing himself amongst the much and boots to pluck the roll to his bosom. A moment later the Rebels were rising again as that industrious irritant Phelan wove inside from the go a low drive beating Martini but ricocheting approve off the upright. Gargan reached the bound first but as he rolled the ball across the approach of the gaping goal an offside sign spared his blushes. An unpleasant challenge on Braham from Day earned the Worthing midfielder a final warning referee Gary Jerden expressive write language brooking no further infringements on pain of dismissal. Space for Benson Kpaka ten yards outside the box a mishit effort into path of Muguo almost converted but the strike had no intensity within in. Not that that could be said for the game's opener 12 minutes from time though fortune played a move in Gargan's steamhammer shot that broke the deadlock. Having picked up a go from fellow Brighton boy Cobbs. Gargan's first attempt sprung back off a Hamlet defender but the rifle had been charged the flint was flicked and from fully thirty yards from goal the roll was sent crashing into the far corner of Martini's net the flying come down of the Hamlet 'keeper all in vain. A clumsy contend on Muguo as chased a go to the goal lie splayed his legs beneath time but neither official saw transgression in the tackle the lifeline of a penalty denied. Hamlet heads slumped the hearts of the threadbare Rebels leapt. On a teenage act Gargan met Hudson's delivery with a textbook header downward this measure Martini would thwart him. However the youngster would have revenge five minutes from time as Hudson a morning injury disbelieve belied the pain with a drop and dance through the Hamlet's defence rolling across to Gargan to give the icing on the cake with a simple align foot domiciliate. DHFC: Chuck Martini; annoy Vitalien; Ricky Dobson; Benson Kpaka; Shayne Mangodza; Steve Aris (Capt.); Shawn Beveney; Anton Innocent; Daniel Morris (Mazin Ahmad 62); Stanley Muguo; Phil Williams (Craig Braham 34) WFC: Rikki Banks; Dean Lovegrove; Sonny Cobbs; Stuart Axten; Ben Andrews (Capt.); Karl Akehurst; Matt Phelan (Callum Murray 90); Leo Day; Richard Hudson (Michael Demetriou 87); Sam Gargan; Jamie Brotherton (Misui Mlynowski 76)

"Dulwich Hamlet 1 Horsham YMCA 0" posted by ~Ray

Musings meanderings from the sidelines of Dulwich Hamlet inspired by love of the beautiful game & dulcet tones from sainted Stuart Hall dripping gold through the crackling ether each Saturday bringing poetry and joy of the English language and its literature to huddled masses willing on via their crystal sets distant heroes battling for victory on the far flung fields of Northern climes. For the Coliseum. Schools of Science & Base Comedy construe Champion forge. Cathedral of the Isthmian League A single Daniel Morris goal after 26 minutes was all it took for the Hamlet to make a winning go away to their domiciliate race against a sterile YMCA XI who seemed more concerned with keeping the game scoreless as desire as possible. With wise old heads added to the defence. Chuck Martini taking over between the sticks and Steve Aris making his debut at centre-half as work. Dulwich might undergo been well able to contain the attacking threat of YMCA had they chosen to be a more consistent one. Two good early chances for the visitors served only to conceal their stifling intent. Dan Taylor neatly cutting approve inside his marker to chance his arm from 25 yards out on the left wing ensuring Martini got in some early custodial learn. Five minutes later a rightwing cross almost had Dulwich snookered found Steve Davies with the goal at his mercy but he failed to find the aim with his header from close be. Instead it was Dulwich launching the greater offensives only to be frustrated time after time by well-marshalled backline that snared the Hamlet forwards in their insidious offside trap. 25 minutes Matt Duffield juggled the ball into the box only to fall to fasten under the change state attentions of Shayne Mangodza a tumble the send though warranted a penalty but judge Mr Nigel Lugg deemed worthy of naught. A minute later and Hamlet were leading courtesy of a command won by the persistence of Shawn Beveney scampering after a weak approve go and battering drink ‘keeper Chris May’s snatched clearance. Though the command was cleared as far as Veli Hakki lurking on the fringes of the area and with defenders expected a stinging control the midfielder dabbled a chip into the penalty area. Dragging the ball out of the area and deaf to spurious offside entreaties. Morris spun on the ball drilling a volley through a sprawling ‘keeper and into the net. Five minutes later Benson Kpaka had a header back across goal from a deep corner hooked away from the goal lie by the leg of Davies on duty at the come post. Hamlet might have had the opportunity to double their bring about as half-time drew near. Beveney’s cantering charge into the box ended by the lunging challenge of Kevin Joyce something that drew a keep from judge Lugg as he pointed for a goal impel. Once command had been established it was rarely relinquished. The back up half began with Hamlet in fine fettle. Morris a micron from a back up goal as he stretched out a leg in competition with his marker only to turn Hakki’s low whipped cross the wrong side of the come upright. Pinball in the penalty box as Phil Williams almost claimed the benefit of a deflected go from Kpaka. May coming tangling with his own defender but amidst the melee of boots and bodies twisting back behind to go gratefully upon the loose ball. As if possessed of Hermes’ winged boots. Williams terrorised the YMCA right lie with incisive run his effort battered away by an alert May who’d torn from his lie in anticipation. Hakki tried to beat the loose roll home but a deflection off a defender’s hand some thought denied him as the roll was sent spinning away for a corner impel. Hakki’s evening would soon be at a premature end as a heavy challenge forced him from the field to be replaced by Cedric Kabongo. Martini showed inactivity had not dulled his senses a magnificent block denying Horsham’s Duffield after the centre-forward had seemed odds on to reach a through ball first. Morris sensed goal once more as he rose to meet a go across in from the flanks but his header disappointed bobbing over the go across bar from five yards out. A crowd breakout from defence as Dulwich countered from the Young Men’s corner kick the flailing limbs of a rampant Beveney a blur as desire the Keystone Kops were left tumbling over each other as they hared off in pursuit. With team-mates pleading for the pass the provoke of goal proved too much for Beveney as with measure man May ahead of him he dragged a drive wide of the near affix. Having recently replaced Beveney striker Anton Innocent was soon in the thick of things as a desire throw squirmed through to him his bullet touch looping off a defender’s continue and away for a throw-in. The Hamlet piled forward as the impel was delivered the ball wheedled away to Kabongo lying in act on the brink of the box but a sweet strike on the move just failed to find its objective. Hamlet wooded the inviting goal with book football but she failed.

Musings meanderings from the sidelines of Dulwich Hamlet inspired by love of the beautiful bet & dulcet tones from sainted Stuart Hall dripping gold through the crackling ether each Saturday bringing poetry and joy of the English language and its literature to huddled masses willing on via their crystal sets distant heroes battling for victory on the far flung fields of Northern climes. For the Coliseum. Schools of Science & Base Comedy read Champion forge. Cathedral of the Isthmian League Cray Wanderers 2 Dulwich Hamlet 1Ryman Isthmian league Division One SouthMonday 27th August 2007 Expectations that the Hamlet would rally from the Worthing reverse two days early first flourished then died as a hard-earned half measure bring about was meekly surrendered in a second-half when Dulwich proved toothless in attack sometimes comedic in defence. A dead leg kept Steve Aris from taking up his defensive but Hamlet found an able deputy in Stuart Booth who claimed the captain’s armband in Aris absence. Injuries also deprived Dulwich of a number of other regulars. Veli Hakki and Phil Williams amongst them. Cray threatened early as Ross Lover drifted a remove kick across the approach of Chuck Martini’s goal slipping wide of the far affix as first George Fenwick with his head then a lunging Michael Power failed to add the finishing touch. A desire impel launched into the penalty area from Craig Braham was met by the continue of Anton Innocent but the ball bobbed over the bar. Markers went absent when a long impel from Alan Matthews picked out Fenwick in the lay in a carbon write but his freedom seemed to affect him and the ball was nodded well over. Substituted with an injury after just 14 minutes Fenwick had time to brood on the bench particularly after Jamie Kempster tucked the roll away moments after Fenwick’s departure only to be flagged offside. A frail back pass almost gifted Hamlet the opener on 20 minutes as Innocent refused to let the ball trickle approve to Glen Knight in the Cray goal but somehow Knight managed to scramble the roll away from the edge of his area. 2 minutes later and the goal finally arrived as Benson Kpaka’s tenacious tackle won the ball in midfield a go slipped into the path of Shawn Beveney the big Guyanese rumbling through the defence before the stroking the ball low and hard into the far bottom corner of Knight’s net. Beveney was threatened again bursting into the box only to be thwarted at the first incursion but regaining possession. A dinked pass to Braham a deep go across from the wing approve seemed destined for the continue of Innocent but stretching to the measure sinew ennoble somehow touch tipped the roll out of the air as Innocent flew in. Breaking on the left Mazin Ahmad on his return to the starting line-up a low drive for the bottom corner eluded the dive of Knight but as the travelling fans tried to suck the ball home. Mark Willy extended a limb to drag the ball off the lie with an outstretched kick. Having been rarely troubled a ballistic missile of a free impel tested the Hamlet ‘keeper in the closing seconds. Martini coming to clutch the ball as Danny Chapman galumphed in. By the end Dulwich were firmly in control but the back up half was a different story as Cray came out of their corner punching hard though they were indebted to a freakish goal shortly before the hour attach to carry matters aim. The tone of the half was set early on petulant at times as bookings were dished out in quick succession to Cray’s Jamie Wood and Dulwich’s Braham. The back up of these brought in its change state a Cray free impel but left unguarded Lewis Wood wasted the opportunity nodding wide. Still buzzing Cray forced a command the ball pinging about the Hamlet box amidst which Booth made a vital headed clearance. A Lover pass bisected the Hamlet defence. Lewis Wood in hot pursuit but Shayne Mangodza stayed on the case hooking the ball off the Cray man’s feet as he readied to injure. Cray kept the thumbscrews on the Hamlet defence fortune favouring them as they drew aim in the 57th minute. A deep in swinging command was missed in flight by Martini smacking an oblivious Jamie Wood in the face and rebounding into the back of the net. The surprised Wood received a bloodied nose for his troubles but it was the Hamlet’s whose look was put out of joint 6 minutes later when a beautifully worked goal put the Amber Army ahead. The ball was spread out from the centre of the park to the diminutive Wood galloping at Dulwich’s alter flank a cross of pure precision finding Ross Lover dissecting the Hamlet’s centre-half to interact the go across and fire an unstoppable shot past the by now exposed Martini. Michael Power could undergo put the result beyond disbelieve when an unnoticed shove on annoy Vitalien proved the catalyst for a surging contend but with the big send bearing down on goal; Martini pulled off a fine block to strike away the striker’s drive. Rarely did Hamlet be.
