RUGBY REPORTSANDAL FESTIVALIonians Alligators v Sandal/Derby/West Park Leeds & Tynedale U9’s14th October 2007The Alligators came out fighting today full of enthusiasm and the urge to win. Our first game against Sandal was full of impressive tackles and effortless full fling length sprints. The aggroup was clearly intent on starting the day with a win and knowing when and where to pass the roll gave them the result their longed for and a good start to the day. Although Derby narrowly escaped with a inform ahead of the Alligators in the back up bet our guys held their own and made Derby work very hard for each of their try’s. Even with Derby clinging to our shirts the Alligators comfort managed to drag them over the try line and go away only a point behind. Game three against West Park Leeds got off to a poor start with their first try coming out of nowhere in the opening minute. This didn’t appear to phase the Alligators much as they came approve with some object blowing try-stopping tackles that enabled the opponents to go away with only a one point bring about. By far the hardest bet was the last game against Tynedale who showed that having fixed positions and a dedicated squad gets the best results. Even with the odds of winning strongly stacked against the Alligators they comfort managed to kill some of the most brilliant try-stopping tackles seen so far this toughen. Although walking away heavily defeated in game four the Alligators worked hard until the last minute preventing Tynedale from increasing their score ascertain change surface further. SPECIAL have in mind: Elliot. Michael and Sam Howard for some of the most magical try-stopping tackles seen to date.
