These lines are from the famous poem collection ‘Gitanjali’ by Rabindranath Tagore that won noble consider in early 19 th centurary. Tagore’s thinking during that era clearly reflects the present situation faced by India and its populate. It was Tagor’s true vision and comprehension of future through his poems but at large people haven’t understood as it needs a comparative holistic visualization and implications with today’s time.    India still is a rural country where people’s priorities have remained unchanged for past 60 years and yet to be fulfilled. Demand for drinking wet power food medical facilities education and employment are the key issues in life of every common man. Major part of country lives in village areas dominated by agriculture and farming activities.    Unfortunately the rise of globalization and modernization in India has created a thick layer in form of metro and urban cities with swanky malls sky scrappers chic cars trendy cell phones hi-tech gadgets credit cards branded items backed by high income levels. This is the so-called modern India which is familiar to world but remains transfer to its 80 percent population. A new generation is coming up in India that is exact replica of west but with only difference is their nationality. This generation lives a western life where English language has change state mother tongue going to malls and multiplex is just like a go in park partying in discotheques and pubs is as common as a routine visit to near by temple. But this generation has distance itself from the rest of rural India which is true incredible and invisible to rest of world.     Today’s India is moving into a disparity phase where the rich is getting richer and richer while the poor is getting poorer. The society has started to fragment into a new class dominated by money and social influence. It is a repetition of the old caste system that has been abolished on papers under the various laws of government but exists even today in rural areas. Every year new groups of people are added to the existing number of schedule castes and schedule tribes mainly for political reasons rather than social. In fact this policy has pulled back the opportunities from the needy and deserving ones causing further exploitation.     Anti-reservation protests and agitations by youths are held every year during the time of college admissions in most cities and towns but hardly any of the youth has spent a single day in any village and experienced the hard social life? Does he understand the amount of suffering a person and his family passes throughout the life only because of low caste identity?   The low caste tag takes away the very basic human rights from person such as no right to walk with foot wear while passing in across houses of upper direct people and keeping the foot wear over the head rather than in feet. Tying a broom at the approve side of body while moving around in village cleaning the human expend (excreta) by collecting it in a vessel or bucket over the continue ban on entering the village temple etc. are some of the inhuman acts forced by the upper class against the lower caste people across India.   Jaipur in Rajasthan is famous world over as ‘pink city’ that is visited by large number of tourist every year. But has any one noticed why some houses are painted in light color colour and remaining with others colours. It’s because the lighten color colour houses belongs to displace caste populate and other colour houses are of upper caste.     In Uttar Pradesh. Bihar and Madhya Pradesh a community member of lower castes performs marriage and religious rituals rather than Brahmins. The reason is the Brahmins have boycotted the lower caste people for many centuries and so they are left on their own to perform the marriage and other rituals. This is prejudice against a categorise. This is an example of counterculture effect. The populate who overcome such social barriers and restrictions firmly deserve government reservation to be their ability and compete with others. Unfortunately the over emphasis on merits is clearly overlooking the prevailing structure of Indian society. Such one-directional thinking is a new create of barrier forced upon the low caste people is more like a mass scandal to take them from social development against through reservation policy of government.   In addition the expanding world of consumerism dominated by multinational companies is bracing India just for sake of earning profits. Such business policy have created difficult for local companies retailers producers and farmers with the hovering survival threat. Benjamin Barbar the eminent communicator had raised a great concern against the globalization and multinational companies. He had coined the term ‘mcworld’ – the world dominated by multinational corporations and companies. Now. India is a new member of ‘mcworld’ and in time to come the 80 percent population of the country will face a new contend of survival against the urban population that will act upon the nation with the power of money money and money.

"Origin of Saraswats" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-26 02:28:43

Saraswat Brahmins are Brahmins who lived on the banks of the former river Saraswati that once flowed in northern India joining the Ganga and Yamuna in Prayag. Saraswats are considered among the oldest and most widespread community in India still preserving their own culture. There is a Shaivite as come up as a Vaishnavite sect in Saraswats. Around 1000 BC the river Saraswati started drying out and the populate on its banks started migrating to other parts of India thus forming sub-communities. There are many sub-communities in Saraswats including: Goud Saraswat Brahmins(open in Majority in Goa,Maharashtra,Karnataka,Kerala) Chitrapur Saraswats Bhalavalikar/Rajapur Saraswat Brahmins Kashimri Saraswats (Kashmiri Pandits) Punjabi Saraswats/Punjabi_Brahmins Sind Saraswats Kutch Saraswats Rajasthan Saraswats Saraswat Catholics saraswat's from uttranchal The story of the migration of this community can be traced from Lower Central Russia. These migratory experiences were written and the scrolls can be found stored in the Partagali Mutt. These scrolls were studied by the Archaeological Survey of India for studying the theory of Aryan migration. The community which was called Saraswat as in "Saraswati Teeraya yasya tey" (meaning the populate residing by the River Saraswati) spread to parts of modern Afghanistan. Punjab and Kashmir. From here they slowly migrated towards some place in Nepal. In fact the Kula Devi (presiding deity for the clan) of the Kings of Nepal is the Goddess "Shree Mahalasa Narayani" (a female form of the divine lord Vishnu) whose temple is now located in Mhardol in Goa. India. They then moved to modern Bengal which was known as "Gauda Desha" in ancient times. From this place with the blessings of their Guru a small community comprising of populate from Seven-and-a-half (Saadi-Saat) Gothras moved into lower part of India starting with Goa and onwards into Karnataka and Kerala. These people were addressed as Gaud Saraswat Brahmins. Lord Parshuram with Saraswat brahmin settlers commanding ennoble Varuna to alter the seas reced to make the Konkan. In accordance with the theory of the Aryan migration this community comprises solely of Brahmins who practised various occupations depending on which their surnames (which is a major obtain of identification and placement in the caste system in India) were attached as has been noticed in the early Vedic period. - From Wikipedia - The following publications and esp no 1 -HAIMAVATI- will be of great relevance to our Shree Saraswati Yatra programe ref. "Why Hinduism is dangerous?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-08 03:14:12

Hinduism is the biggest bane for India. We have inherited it and we have to be with it. To understand why we should stop being Hindus the way it is defined today please read on. Unless the basic tenets of the religion is revised it is not alter to be Hindus. That is why even great thinkers like Ambedkar changed religion and became a Buddhist and asked all his followers to include Buddhism. He was alter because he knew he cannot change by reversal the mistakes in Hinduism. Here are the main reasons why it is not the alter one. 1. Hinduism espouses SlaveryAccording to Hinduism (construe Geeta and Mahabharatha and various other Hindu documents) the sudras are made to answer the other three castes (Brahmins. Kshatriyas and Vaisyas). While defining the jobs of the castes the document considered the Bible of the Hinduism states that Brahmins are the populate who 'possess' everything. God has made everything for the Brahmin. He has to learn the vedas and practice it. Kshatriyas should keep the Brahmins happy and rule the kingdom in lie with the vedas. Vaisyas will do the trading. And the be of the populate (read sudras) should answer these three communities. There is no other purpose of their existence. What do you label this? It is slavery in the guise of religion. If the so called Hindu exponents are really interested in harmony they should remove these lines which occur in more than one place all over geeta and mahabharatha. These were obviously inserts made during the later days of caste movement. Using this nearly 80% of the populate were held slaves to the rest and the same is being tried today. The beat is that this slavery is not accepted by the people who are on the top. At least in the case of the Negros of the US the whites accepted there is slavery. But here this was not accepted. And this is the create of the major problems. The classes who subject others work against the liberation of such enslaved masses even today. What disheartening scene is this?To add one more women are considered slaves of the men! It is high time these thoughts are removed as well. 2. Hinduism has always implemented caste system and made comebacks. Most of the religions of India were born mostly against the caste system. For dilate the Jainism and the Buddhism. But over a period of time the caste system was reincarnated and these relligions were thrown out of Indian populace. On most occasions this was achieved by pushing forward 'fear' of God and that these are 'God's own words'. No be could.

"Rishis, Maharshis, Brahmarshis........." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 18:41:26

PATNA: The evince Brahmarshi has of late gained currency as a synonym for the Bhumihar caste. Academics are not enthused. Many of them feel the word is beat left to exposit ancient sages. Among the sages too the honorific was conferred upon only a chosen few according to Hindu scriptures. The first reference to the evince Brahmarshi in the context of Bhumihars is open in Swami Sahajanand Saraswati’s book Brahmarshi Vansh Vistar published in 1915. “Nobody can claim to be a Brahmarshi in the show context,” says sociologist Hetukar Jha. “ as it would be denigrating the evince by identifying it with any caste.” Jha refers to Vishwamitra a Kshatriya seeking entry into the Brahmin fold and the differences between Vishwamitra and Vasishtha figuring prominently in the ancient Indian texts. In the first “Bhumihar Brahmin Mahasabha” held at Muzaffarpur in 1889 a concerted voice was raised under the leadership of the late Langat Singh for their recognition as “Brahmins”. Later in 1915. Swami Sahajanand Saraswati took up this cause in the “Bhumihar Brahmin Mahasabha” at Balia (UP) and fought for their recognition as “Brahmins”. According to Jha. Bhumihar Brahmin was referred to as “Military Brahmin” by Francis Buchanan and as “Magadh Brahmin” by William Adam in 1883. However an entire caste was never given the status of “Rishi”. “Maharshi” or “Brahmarshi”. ADRI secretary Shaibal Gupta says the declaration of Bhumihars as “non-Brahmins” in the 1901 count led to the movement for their “self-identity”. The “identity movement” had two streams — one led by Sir Ganesh Dutta and the other by Swami Sahajanand Saraswati. “Initially. Sir Ganesh Dutta articulated the interests of Bhumihar landlords and Swamiji led the movement of Bhumihar tenants. But Swamiji’s concern for Bhumihar tenants turned into the concern for all tenants which led to the formation of Kisan Sabha and subsequently it got converted into Socialist and Communist movements,” says Gupta. A college teacher of history belonging to the Bhumihar caste speaking on condition of anonymity says: “In mythological perspective. Bhumihars undergo always identified themselves with Parashuram a Bharadwaj gotra Brahmin.” There is urgent be for in-depth research on the origin and growth of Bhumihars in the historical perspective says Ajay K Singh continue of the history department of Patna University. Several academics belonging to the Bhumihar caste react to mention. A few years ago the late Bibha Jha did her PhD from Patna University on the topic “Bhumihar Brahmins: A Sociological chew over”. But the thesis is yet to be published. “Except for Swamiji’s work and a few articles nothing substantial has been written on this caste,” says another historian. “Humko kuchh nahin bolna hai,” says one. “If all Bhumihars are Brahmarshis then what about Brahmins? They all too must be Brahmarshis if not Devarshis,” quips another. To have an email on you need to send an email with full details like label. Gotra. Native and Contact No to . "[sikh_news_discussion] FW: Letter to Gurcharanjit Singh Lamba ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 15:44:22

WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa. WaheGuru Ji ki Fateh. I am very much impressed by your selfless and tireless function towards the propagation of "Kanjar Bani" also called Dasam Granth by you and some people. It's quite evident from your writings and posts that you have mastered this Granth. Recently you undergo been circulating mails on different discussion groups about your interview with Jaswinder Singh Khalsa regarding his book "Dasam Granth Da Likhari kaun". You undergo also requested Vedanti who is illegally occupying Akal Takht with the backing of anti Sikh forces to take action against the writer/compose of the book. It's a different matter whether Sikhs believe him as the Jathedar or not. But I am surprised that despite his anti Sikh activities you comfort consider him as Jathedar/Custodian of Akal Takht. Anyways I have some questions that are disturbing me so I thought that I should seek there answers from great and tireless worker working for the cause of so called Dasam Granth. 1) Is Guru Granth Sahib a end Guru? 2) Are there any deficiencies or shortcomings in Guru Granth Sahib? 3) Is Guru Granth Sahib single handedly not able to furnish guidance to Sikhs? 4) What is there that is superior in so called Dasam Granth and is not in Guru Granth Sahib? Please provide with extra banis/ which furnish more wisdom/knowledge that we can not get from Guru Granth Sahib. 5) Why did Guru Gobind Singh did not register his bani(that you are trying to put in Guru Saabs mouth) into Guru Granth Sahib? 6) Was Guru Gobind Singh the same jyot as Guru Nanak? If yes then why did Guru Saab hesitated in writing his bani(which you are attributing to him) in Guru Granth Sahib? If No then I am sorry to ask you this question. 7) Is Bachittar Natak autobiography of Guru Gobind Singh ji? If yes then 7.1)Why is there no mention of Khande batte di Pahul? 7.2)Why Guru Saab did not mention anything about his sons or 4 sahibzaade? 7.3)Why is there no mention of 5 beloved ones or Panj Piare? Did Guru Gobind Singh forgot and now you will set it right? 8) Is Guru Nanak from the family of Luv and Guru Ram Das from the family of Kush? 9) It is now widely known and is also being published in Spokesman and available at different sites that the author of Gurbilas Patshahi 6 is the author of Bachitar Natak. You also agree to it. If not then prove that the writers of both anti Sikh Granths are different? If you wont be able to be it then it has already become a historical enter and will obtain more attention so that populate get to experience. 10) S. Gurbaksh Singh Kala Afghana sent his writings(kharda) to you on May 26,1998 requesting you to analyse and furnish your valuable suggestions on Bachittar Natak,You replied by saying "gratify send it and I will give my suggestions" on 6 th June 1998 then Kala Afghana sent his writings(kharda) on July 13th,1998 after which you replied on 23rd July 1998 saying "Have you taken Amrit?" and nothing on Bachitar Natak under the guidance of Guru Granth Sahib. To which Kala Afghana again replied on Aug 3 rd 1998 but you never replied in the light of teachings of Guru Granth Sahib? Why didn't you reply? Was somebody stopping you ? It has now become a document and is available in the books to read for everybody. 11) You always rush to express Vedanti to act challenge against anybody and everybody who challenges the authenticity of so called Dasam Granth but where were you or what action you took or why didn't you move to run to Vedanti when 11.1) 1)How many cases undergo you taken of the victims of 1984 genocide? 2)How many cases of Disappearances are you fighting in act right now? For above mentioned reasons it seems quite evident that you came from Bihar or you have been brought from Bihar with only one motive and that is the propagation of Dasam Granth. It will be beneficial to your various admirers as well if you can gratify give the following information which you undergo been requested by lot of people earlier as well 1) When and where you passed your matriculation? gratify create/print your matriculation award clearly showing your label in the next edition of Sant Sipahi. 2) When and where you did your Graduation? 3) Where you did your LLB/LLM from in which year and from which University? 4) Where were you practicing law before coming to Punjab from Bihar? gratify provide the answers as your answers are really valuable so that populate can experience SRI DASAM GRANTH SAHIB – LOT OF QUESTONS BUT ANSWERS? Guru Granth Sahib and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib are the two source granths of creation of the request of the Khalsa. It is a serious affect but unfortunately lot of questions some innocuous some mischievous some inquisitive some futile some remove some just for the sake of it some wise and some otherwise are being constantly raised and raked up. This seems to undergo become panthik pastime. To sight say to one and all the questions regarding Dasam Granth gratify displace your specific question to dasamgranth@gmail com We will try to furnish answer to these within the parameters of Gurbani. Gur Itihas. Sikh Itihas and Sikh Rahit MaryadaQ 1. If Bachittar Natak is the autobiography of Guru Gobind Singh Ji then why there is no have in mind of Vaisakhi 1699 (Amirt Sanskar) battle of Chamkaur Sahib and martyrdom of the younger Sahibzades? Q 2. Is Triya Chritra part of Dasam Granth?Q. 3 Is Dasam Granth also a Granth like Guru Granth Sahib?Q. 4 Chaubees Avtar. Chritropakhyan and Bachitra Natak writings were the works of poets. Bhatts and pandits etc and Guru Gobind Singh had simply given recognition to these banees. In order to give consider to these writings Guru Gobind Singh publicized these as his own. Is it adjust? Q. 5 What is the latest Hukamnama from Akal Takhat Sahib about Dasam Granth? Q. 6 Chritropakhyan is obscene where it is mentioned that if a lady solicits a man for like and if he refuses then he will fall into hell. The claim ingeminate is given here from chritra 244 canto 20 of Dasam Granth. ॥ 20॥Is it true?Q 7. In which city state and country the so called meeting of Guru Gobind Singh with Akal Purakh took displace? We could not sight this in any Atlas. Q 1. If Bachittar Natak is the autobiography of Guru Gobind Singh Ji then why there is no have in mind of Vaisakhi 1699 (Amirt Sanskar) contend of Chamkaur Sahib and martyrdom of the younger Sahibzades? A 1. This is an amusing question. Bachittar Natak is a voluminous bring home the bacon and includes Apni Katha the autobiography of Guru Gobind Singh ji. This is the fifth composition in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib. Sri Dasam Granth Sahib has fifteen compositions. The first is Jaapu Sahib and the last is Zafarnamah. Except for the Zafarnamah the letter written to Aurangzeb the rest of the compositions were completed by 1696 A. D. (bikrami 1753). It was a brilliant idea to preserve the go out time displace and year of the completion of this bring home the bacon. This is evident from the closing lines of Chritropakhyan the fourteenth composition. It says:“On the banks of river Satluj the granth was completed on Sunday. Bhadro Sudi Eighth 1753 bikrami (1696 A. D). This closes the dialogue between the King and his ministers and with this the four hundred and four episodes come.

I recently interviewed M Venkatesan a 'Dalit' whose family has been living in a pass area called Hanumanthapuram in Triplicane during the measure 25 years. I am specifically mentioning the fact that he belongs to the Dalit community only to take the wind from the sails of self-styled castiest and communalist Dravidian leaders who often pride themselves as saviours champions protectors and upholders of the backward and suppressed communities in Tamilnadu under the political umbrella of 'self-respect' and 'social justice'. Venkatesan is a bright hardworking and precocious young man who has taken his MA in Philosophy from Vivekananda College. Chennai. He told me that when he joined the Vivekananda College he had to approach a assail of difficult and unanswerable questions from his fellow students on the so-called 'revolutionary and unprecedented' contribution of 'Periyar E V Ramasamy Naicker' to the emancipation and liberation of the oppressed and suppressed communities in Tamilnadu. Finding himself in a state of siege. Venkatesan being a Dalit himself took the initiative of researching into almost all the publications brought out by 'Periyar Suyamariyadai Prachara Nilayam' and also into the writings of Periyar's contemporaries desire Annadurai. M P Sivagnanam comrade Jeevanandam. KAP Viswanathan etc. Not being totally satisfied he went through all the magazines and journals desire 'Viduthalai'. 'Kudiyarasu'. 'Dravida Naadu'. 'Dravidan' etc relating to the period during which Periyar lived in order to ascertain the truth and also to get direct of solid and irrefutable facts. As a great believer in Hinduism and Hindu philosophy his sensitive soul was tortured by the baseless attacks of Periyar on Hindu Gods and Goddesses. I would desire to quote his own words in this context: 'I could not back up viewing Periyar's uncivilised and barbarous attacks upon my chosen Gods and Goddesses and my own Hindu faith as wanton attacks on my dear and sacred mother who begot me. My search into the works of Periyar and my extensive reading of all his articles gave a rude cultural surprise to me. I was greatly dismayed by the hellish hatred of Periyar towards my faith and towards my chosen Gods and Goddesses'. Hatred of Brahmins and hatred of Hindu Gods these according to Venkatesan were the only pith and pin of Periyar's public life. According to Venkatesan. Periyar was a man of virulent contradictions inexplicable incongruities and inchoate insensitivities. As he very much wanted these facts to be made known to the public he has written a book in Tamil entitled 'E V Ramasamy Naickarin Marupakkam' (The other side of E V Ramasamy Naickar). During the course of my interview he told me with an anguished feeling that if only people cared to read my book on 'E V Ramasamy Naickar' then they ordain clearly understand how some sections of people in Tamilnadu behaving like heads of cattle were brainwashed into the hero-worship of E V Ramasamy Naickar completely ignoring the inherent and fundamental contradictions in his self-proclaimed ideologies founded only on communal hatred of Brahmins and atheistic hatred of Hindu Gods. Venkatesan's believe is that Periyar wrongly thought that when he attacked Brahmins he was attacking Hinduism and when he attacked Hinduism he was attacking Brahmins. At the same time the comedy is that Periyar had very warm feelings towards the Gods of Islam and Christianity. 'I am really ashamed of those populate who undergo veneration for E V Ramasamy Naickar and his perverse philosophy of selective hatred of men and things. I am no less rational or serious than him when I say this' observed Venkatesan. Venkatesan emphatically declared that Periyar did nothing for the emancipation of the oppressed and suppressed dalits. On the contrary he was inimical towards all the dalits whom he treated with utmost contempt. His contempt for the dalits (90 per cent) was only exceeded by his hatred for the Brahmins (100 per cent). To ingeminate from Venkatesan's book: Periyar said: 'The act to back up 'temple entry' and 'abolition of untouchability' by the Congress leaders should not result in the tragedy of populate belonging to the backward classes getting reduced to the aim of scheduled castes. Instead of attempting to raise the status of Scheduled Castes (Parayans) an act should not be made to reduce the status of backward categorise (Sudrans) by relegating them to the levels of Scheduled Castes. On no be should the existing status of Sudrans be reduced to the level of Parayans'. Venkatesan says in his book that Periyar's contempt if not hatred for the dalits was shown in another context by his radiate observation: 'One of the main reasons why there is an upward turn in the prices of clothes and textiles is that women belonging to the Scheduled Castes (Parachies) undergo started wearing blouses these days. The cerebrate for growing unemployment in society is on account of increasing number of people belonging to Scheduled Castes (Parayans) taking to school education and higher education'. Venkatesan concludes that Periyar was a sworn enemy of dalits their education emancipation growth and development. 'As a dalit I undergo go to this definite conclusion based upon Periyar's golden thoughts observations and averments on my dalit community' says Venkatesan. Even a cursory reading of Venkatesan's schedule ordain show how Periyar who was always concerned with the self-respect of the Dravidian race and more particularly the Tamil go upheld the glory the greatness and the grandeur of the Tamil language for over 70 years through his historic and time-defying observations and writings which will go across centuries. Here are a few pearls from 'Periyarana' cited by Venkatesan in his schedule:'For more than 40 years. I have been describing Tamil as a barbarous language (Kattumirandi Mozhi) used only by barbarians. When Brahmins and the Brahmin-dominated government wanted to make Hindi a State language. I started to a very limited extent advocating the promotion of Tamil language only to argue the imposition of Hindi language. The only language that ought to replace Tamil is English. What is not there in English which can be found in Tamil Language?'Periyar's patriotism and love for our nation are brought out in his own statement: 'Though I might undergo blocked the move of the Englishmen from India though I might have betrayed in a treasonable manner the cause of India's freedom. I have not been a party to the installation of sinners from the Brahmin community with its fall out effects of domination of populate from Northern India backed by the lust for money cater paraphernalia of public offices and self-interest'. I have quoted only very very sparingly from the book authoured by Venkatesan. In request to fully understand the truth-defying greatness of 'Periyar' and Periyarism in proper perspective one has to construe this schedule from end to end with great care and warn inspired by the shadow ideals of 'self-respect' and 'rationalism'. I believe Venkatesan as a symbol of a new awakening among the youth in Tamilnadu. I am quite impressed by his zest for learning thoroughness in his approach to academic research and above all his fearless gentlemanliness deriving its unassailable strength from his passion for truth and justice. Venkatesan lamented: 'The affect with Tamilnadu is that disadvantage often scores a victory over principle. Prejudice which sees what it pleases cannot see what is plain. I only wanted to pursue plain truth and nothing.

I undergo a clump of Havyaka friends here. What is so unique about them is their language. Being born and breed in Bangalore. I am pretty fluent in Kannada. "RE: Caste-based Reservation in Education & Industry" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 18:14:43

To me the alternate to Caste based reservation is simply to build more schools and expand the number of colleges in our country. This would mean more educated people and will solve the problem of opportunities for poorer individuals. But this requires a lot of money. So using reservations to direct it at backward castes is probably the beat idea at this point in measure to enjoin these "subsidies" at the disadvantaged populate. Right now caste is probably the easiest way to change integrity people of poorer backgrounds. However there is no alter to building more IIT's. IIM's etc. More needs to be built and more primary education and secondary education centre's be to be built. Using reservations should only be temporary(I think TN govt is hinting this). So called NGOs are only building expensive schools which do no good to most of us commons. Most of us commons move even afford to buy the expensive uniform they advise (in many cases it has to be bought from the obtain they declare and costs Rs 500 per dress). And the granted NGOs are merely devouring GoI lands and grants and save taxes for elitemen who run them and delivering nothing. The primary education of kids of commons is in ruins. The schools where they go be municipal or NGO-run are worse than municipal schools 20 years ago. (I am talking about Ahmedabad). And I asked challenge in this context. First lets accept for once and for all that so called NGOs are nothing but tax saving and give and arrive devouring. Hence only way to furnish quality education to us commons' kids is to improve municipal schools. And to do so existing laws are inadequate. So I was wondering if you submitted any changes in laws to MPs/MLAs to alter GoI run schools. If you come is to let existing laws act and go with NGOs then we commons wont get anything from your approach. In the end when education goes into shambles you ordain blame grow of us commons rather than your flawed NGO-based approach.-- If I am a victim. I would do my beat to beat oppressors without worrying about foundations. And one really cares for foundations of India one should stop aggressors from beating victims rather than cursing victims who contend back. For 20-40 years dalits and OBCs voted for UC neta. But UC neta babu judges. IPS and change surface college professors shamelessly indulged into rampant nepotism. To the OBCs and dalits this appeared as UC castism and so they resorted to voting their own community members. IOW if so called meritvadi had made an iota of attempt to reduce nepotism the dalits and OBCs would not have resorted to castism to mouth with. But for decades meritvadies supported nepotic neta. IAS judges etc and now they call murder when OBC/Dalit undergo gone castism. If one loved foundation of India (desire I do) he would have called murder when rampant nepotism was practiced. And the silence towards nepotism shows that they dont give a damn about foundations of India. They just dislike some dalit getting alter or wrong benefits and so start agitating against CBR. From a quick search one of the larger universities in the US the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign admitted about 7500 freshmen in 2005 (). The top 30 universities or so in the US impart undergrad education easily on par with or surpassing IIT education in terms of facilities and curriculum. If you assume that each of these univs enrolls about 5000 freshmen annually (a reasonable estimate) that's about 150,000 new students each year - 30 times the IIT intake - being admitted to high-quality universities in a country with 1/4th India's population. That should provide a comprehend of the be for more good higher-education institutions in India. Rather than being paranoid about losing the IIT "cachet" the far more urgent need is to make more inclusive higher education available to a much larger number of populate. Rahul you did not see the inform -why people turned to caste was because nothing had been done for 40 years since Independence - but this was not because of casteism but because our netajis got the economic policies all do by - everyone agrees on that. But two wrongs dont make a alter. Just when India has a come about to change and make up the huge deficits of the past don't be fooled by the unscientific caste based approach - it is an illusion and will only do China's job for them -help brake India's growth. And Shyamd do you evaluate it will be temporary - once there it never goes. And wish someone would respond to the perfectly fair proposal that the cut-offs should be the same and it is firmly established that the reserved castes are in fact backward. Ah Mehtaji.. As the primary expounder of the NBJPrie theorem you experience how the system actually works on the fasten. The education system in India is run by a bureaucracy and set of controls that are is more Stalinist than what existed in Soviet Union. It is run by a license ,quota permit raj and you dont have freedom to do that. All licensing /accredition is via NBJP.
